1. Disgusted!
Jason green ,   Ra'anana   (05.22.13)
Its Sickening the obsession the liberals and leftist a have with the hareidim.. What do u care about what they do or don't publish in their press.. Isn't their freedom of speech..
2. start ignoring them
tiki ,   belgium   (05.22.13)
when they come for the money!
3. How about, all the Secular press ignored
Dovdov   (05.22.13)
- because of jealousy because they can never have such a beautiful event - the main event last night where hundred thousand people attended the WEDDING OF THE CENTURY in Jerusalem, By the way, every single haredi press mentioned the secular guy, the bank murderer.

Erich   (05.22.13)
And here we were all led to believe that followers of the chareidi religion have no time for anything but learning Torah, and now we are told that there they have the ample time to attend over-the-top weddings. I guess the charedim have been lying to us yet again.
5. No. 1
Arie ,   New Haven Connecticu   (05.22.13)
The obsession relates to the haredi addiction to the government teat. They are tired of supporting them and getting nothing in return.
6. to no. 3.
Gabriel ,   Leiden, Netherlands   (05.22.13)
There's a widespread belief in the religious Jewish community that we seculars are jealous of you, probably born out of the belief that being religious is the natural state of being for a Jew. This belief is quite preposterous and emphasizes the fact that you lost track of reality. You don't have a monopoly on morality.....or Judaism for that matter. Sure, the Haredi press mentioned the secular perpetrator of these horrendous murders. I am also sure that they even emphasized his being secular in a rather smug and self-satisfied fashion. Anything to make you feel good about yourselves, eh?
7. witch hunting
Robert ,   Antwerp Belgium   (05.22.13)
While I agree with many articles , this one goes a little too far. There is no law that stipulates what a newspaper has to publish. The same way, non religious newspaper do not have to publish a weekly comment on the reading in the thora or to explain every day or week one of the 613 commandments. ...
8. To all of you
Justjams ,   Jerusalem   (05.22.13)
I couldnt help but notice noone called him a terrorist..... Only if he was arab :/
9. Lawlessness? Seculars?
Jacob E ,   Holon, Israel   (05.22.13)
Their quote about lawlessness is the most hypocritical thing ever. With all the Haraedi riots and violence they commit when someone's toes get stepped on, they really need to just put a sock in it.
10. what does the bank shooting have to do with haredim??
david ,   new york   (05.22.13)
seriously, the people at ynet have far too much time on their hands (and too much hatred of haredim) for them to devote full time staff to reading all the haredi papers and trying to find fault in how they cover articles.
11. the haredi papers have got it right
Star ,   Israel   (05.22.13)
by not reporting these tragic murders because we have seen MORE and SIMILAR murders take place not long after an incident like this has been reported in great detail. Less news coverage would be better. News coverage seems to bring about copycat murders.

Gabriel, do you have a better explanation why it is that about 100,000 (hundred thousand) haredim celebrate an event and it shouldn't be major headlines on secular media? And when 40,000 haredim demonstrated last week and a handful of people were a bit violent, the headlines in the secular media was screaming only about those few violent guys, nothing about the 40,000 (forty thousands)! peaceful demonstrators! On the other hand, when seculars have a tiny demonstration of a few dozen people their headlines is blown it up out of proportion. You have to be blind not to see the jealousy of the beautiful organized haredi events.
13. to. no. 12
Gabriel ,   Leiden, Netherlands   (05.22.13)
I know better than to question the level of organisation within the Haredi society. That, however, was not what I was responding to. Why the happening in Jerusalem wasn't reported I know not, I am not Israeli. I am by the way actually wondering what this happening was, since the news hasn't reached our community here yet. How you can conclude from all this that we are jealous of you, however, is a question that has yet to be answered.
14. They are building walls higher and higher
Chaya ,   Bat Yam   (05.22.13)
The Hareidim are beginning to look more and more like the Amish - totally disconnecting themselves from the body of Am Yisrael. Don't they have any rachmanut in their hearts for those who were killed and even - yes - even for the man who out of some distorted desperation did what he did?? I think they should find some island somewhere and go and live there.
15. Do you expect the haredi press to insert such a photo?
(05.23.13)
Otherwise, they all have this story. You just have to know how find it.
16. It's the hypocrisy that I can't take
Scarborough1414 ,   Scarborough, ON   (05.23.13)
Everyone in Israel looks for the moral highground. When a secular kills someone, the Hareidim get smug. When Hareidi punks harass secular women, Hareidim are silent. A couple of years ago there was a scandal wherein a rosh yeshiva was caught having sex with two of his (male) students. The ultra-Orthodox community was crying while the seculars grinned in smugness. For G-d's sake, can we stop sniping at each other? There are bad seculars and bad Hareidim, also good ones on each side too. As Susan Powter used to say, Stop the Insanity!
17. That exaplains the secular education of Baruch Goldstein,..
Haim ,   TA   (05.23.13)
Yigal Amier, Ami Popper the list is endless..... Just goes to show the ignorance and arrogance of the ultra orthdox and how cut off from realilty they really are. Gee im secular and all ive ever had is a parking ticket, maybe one day when i have a criminal record for theft or fraud i would qualify to join Shas but untill that day ill just carry on and try not to gun anyone you see its my secular education..
18. Just relax.

You must surely be proud of your moronic point, so let me educate you: Alon was a thug and a murderer who acted of personal self interest. That makes him a criminal. Terrorists are thugs and murderers who act out of a particular ideology and wish to advance their goals by instilling fear in their enemies. Got the difference, genius?
20. Secular
david ,   jerusalem   (05.23.13)
An anti secular article in a chareidi paper makes you all go crazy because how can they pass judgment on a world that they know nothing about. They are reporting on how they see the secular world. Hippocrates! I count three anti Chareidi articles today on your site including this one. Do you know any more about chareidi culture than they know about yours!
21. Again the same...
Vladimir ,   Yerushalayim   (05.23.13)
Charedi bashing is the favourite preoccupation of the secular Israeli media. No matter what: report - not report, accuse - approve, the charedi press and the charedi public are always at fault. More than half of the Tel Aviv youth don't go to the army. Who cares. The yeshiva students must replace them... This reminds me of antisemitism in Russia. Whatever happens, the Jews are always blamed...
22. You must understand
Moshe ,   Elad   (05.23.13)
Charedim, in general, are very refined and cannot tolerate such outrageous stories. So their papers will not print it.
23. Yes Chaya #14
K ,   Israel   (05.23.13)
Yes, Chaya, the walls are getting higher and higher because the level of morality in secular society is getting lower and lower and there is more need now than ever to close themselves off from its bad influence. I for one applaud their determination to protect the innocence of their children. If only we all cared that deeply about the future of the Jewish people. Secular society has much to learn unfortunately - try to learn something instead of judging.
24. #6 Gabriel hi we are all one
Marc ,   Israel   (05.23.13)
Hi Gabriel, it is not them and us. It is all us we are one. Each jew is unique, the same and very different at once. this is our quality. You, we care very much about each other. Anger is holding back that is why we have to love and accept each other. focus inward. Groeten van Marc uit Israel.
