1. Excellent work Kerry
Harri ,   EU   (05.24.13)
2. How can Abbas show leadership?
Ian ,   Newcastle upon Tyne   (05.24.13)
Abbas's popular mandate ended a long time ago.He can no longer reasonably claim to to lead any except his thugs and cronies. THREE CHEERS FOR ISRAEL!!!
3. I HAVE MADE A DECISION
CAPTAIN OBVIOUS ,   SAFED DECISION   (05.24.13)
I have decided that Secretary of state Kerry is a deluded man who is out of his depth and would be better served minding his own business.
4. Refugees biggest obstacle to peace
Sam ,   Canada   (05.24.13)
The Palestinians use the refugees as a sword against Israel. The peace process is a charade without addressing the issue but then again the diplomats always avoid talking about the most critical issues. (Jerusalem, refugees) Then everyone wonders why nothing is ever accomplished.
5. ANNEX JUDEA AND SAMARIA...that is the
Chris Rettenmoser ,   Bayerisch Gmain Germ   (05.24.13)
FUTURE !
6. #4. And the rest of the world blames "settlements",
A ,   Belgium   (05.24.13)
instead of seeing the "palestinians" as who they really are, violent intruders in Israel who have long overstayed their welcome, who are solely dedicated to Israels' destruction. Kerry should have noticed the symbol of "palestine" when he talked to Abbas, the symbol that looks frighteningly similar to Israel, and that should have been clear and alarming enough how the "palestinians" see the "clear boundaries" for THEIR state.
7. kerry and olmert not trustworthy
marcel   (05.24.13)
bibi can run and embrace kerry all he wants, kerry is not trustworthy in regard to arabs. Arabs are consistent in what theyr eally want: israel to disappear. Everything else is irrlevant. State, no state, life, death, sunnis killing shiites and vice versa. There is no deal with arabs short of cold armistice arrangements. Olmert's reported offer is a knife into israeli's heart. Israel is a democracy and citizens are permitted to present whatever views. In russia, olmert would be taken out and hung for such an offer. israelis either have to assert soverighntly or not and if not, should leave israel and let the arabs choke on it. As barak has said numerous times, olmert in my opinion is a pathetic weaklling who would sell his mother for a buck and is the weakest jews in modern times to ever appear on the scenee.
8. One question for Kerry:
Charles   (05.24.13)
Why the long face?
9. Here We Go Yet Again
Brett ,   Florida   (05.24.13)
If Israel will do so and so, if Israel will do such and such, if Israel will make all the hard decisions...But hey, obama has been the usuper in office for four years and kerry tells us it will take several more months to examine the issue. Now thats real progress boy. If only Israel will release ALL palestinian prisoners and allow the right of every muslim on the planet to return to a land they never knew, give away Jerusalem, and for Pete's sake stop building homes, everything will finally be peaceful. In other words, SURRENDER already. And, and, then the muslims worldwide will live in peace with everybody else on the planet. No more hard feelings or beheadings or bombings etc.. The phrase "cock and bull" comes to mind, but it's even sleasier than that. This peace talk is just outright evil in it's intentions.
10. Kerry talks "leadership"?!?!?!
Belinda ,   Texas, USA   (05.24.13)
John Kerry wouldn't know what leadership is if it bit him on his butt!! His own boss currently has 5 scandals going on that he knew nothing about! The whole administration are a pack of cowardice idiots!
11. I want to know
(05.24.13)
Did Kerry know anything about the illegal use of the IRS against Obama's political opponents? Did Kerry know that Obama and Clinton were lying when they blamed Nakoula for the murder of Ambassador Stevens? What does Kerry, as a former soldier, have to say about Clinton's (or Obama's) order to the US rescue teams to abandon Stevens, ensuring that he would be raped and murdered?
12. Interpretation: Saudis have America over a barrel -Literally
Yankee ,   Tel Aviv   (05.24.13)
and we would really appreciate it if you Jews sacrifice Israel so that the great USA can survive. If you don't do it voluntarily we'll do it the hard way. Shove it Kerry. Our G-d is all we need. The USA can fend for itself.
13. Bite the Bullet
Adam Neira ,   Paris, France   (05.24.13)
The truth of the matter is that Judea and Samaria/The West Bank will be shared. The Jews will not kick all the Palestinians out and the Palestinians will not kick all the Jews out. Peacemaking is a dynamic task. It is a multifaceted task. Building good relationships takes time and effort. For something of substance to be established requires concrete steps being made towards a worthy goal. The cube can be solved. The real danger is that where there is a lack of co-operation and working on a common goal a vacuum develops. Get the philosophical orientation wrong in a home, community, city, nation or kingdom and the end result will be stagnation at best and implosion at worst. All the parties in the region must co-operate and work on a long term economic development plan. The parallel mission is to secure the region for all its residents and visitors. Vision is required. The task is a multifaceted one and myopic win-lose thinking will not help the situation. The current GDP of Jerusalem; Judea and Samaria/The West Bank; Gaza; Egypt, Saudi Arabia; Jordan, Lebanon and Syria is approximately $1.6 Trillion. This can grow by at least 5% p.a. from 2014 onwards if vision, courage and trust building become a permanent feature of the landscape. Leadership is required. Prayers for the Holy Land.
14. Muzzie friend Kerry is Israels mortal enemy !
Chris Rettenmoser ,   Bayerisch Gmain Germ   (05.24.13)
KICK HIM OUT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
15. #9 BRAVO!!
SF ,   London   (05.24.13)
16. "tough decisions on both sides"
Arnold ,   Montreal-Canada   (05.24.13)
Many of us in the pro -Israel camp have been saying this for years. But once again Kerry only mentions what Israel HAS to do but I read nothing about what Palestine has to do.
17. Palestine
Justjams ,   Jerusalem   (05.24.13)
Ill tell you what the palestinians will do, theyll stop fighting the occupation
18. Hard decisions
Chaim ,   Arad   (05.24.13)
Seems like everyone that has blown in called a secretary of state has said about Israel making hard decisions. Yep, we do. Like tossing Kerry on the next plane out.
19. #13 That's a wonderful idea of utopia that you have
A ,   Belgium   (05.24.13)
but there will never be peace with the arabs because education starts in the home. As long as arab mothers pray for their sons to die as shaheeds (and then bleat like sheep for the international tv cameras when it happens) liberating "palestine", as long as arab schools continue to teach middle east geography while ignoring that little sliver called Israel (or referring to it as the imaginary "palestine"), as long as the world continues to blame the "settlements" as the obstacle to peace, when it is the "palestinians" themselves who make preconditions and demands before even coming to the table, than it doesn't matter if the GDP is astronomical, until the arabs welcome themselves to the modern world instead of behaving like the primitive barbarians (from "Berber", a moslem tribe in Morrocco) that they are, your utopian dream is going to remain exactly that.
20. Nice!
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (05.24.13)
Abbas' balls (to the extent he has any) are now firmly in a vise. Kerry's message is quite clear -- the U.S. will give a faint nod to Abbas' irksome whining about settlement construction, but the U.S. will not pressure Israel. If Abbas TRULY wants negotiations (he doesn't) then he must come to the table without preconditions. Needless to say, a coup for Israel, because Abbas will never, ever agree to it. Ever notice how the one thing -- the only thing -- at which the ersatz "Palestinians" absolutely excel is the art of painting themselves into a corner?
21. US GO HOME !
(05.24.13)
22. Obama to Abbas: "NO PRECONDITIONS"
Scott ,   Ramat Gan, Israel   (05.24.13)
Kerry need to take a cue from his boss. When Obama visited Israel he looked Abbas in the eye and said no preconditions. Abbas needs to listen. The settlement freeze was done & failed. Everyone knows the negotiations are a farce anyway because Abbas is not interested in a deal with Israel as long as he can keep getting money from the US & EU.
23. ''THINKING, DECIDING AND DOING''
SJOERD VAN DER VELDE ,   OUR PLANET OF EARTH   (05.24.13)
IN THAT CASE, AVOID ACTING UNILATERALY. US AND ISRAEL CAN HANDLE BI-LATERALLY. INCLUDING THE ENTIRE UNITED NATIONS ORGANIZATION, MULTILATERALLY. AS WELL AS THE US AND ISRAEL HAVE/HAS A PRE-PAID, SIGNED AND RATIFIED UNO-MEMBERSHIP SINCE RESPECTIVELY 1945 AND FROM 1948. WE AND THE REST OF MANKIND MIGHT ALSO HAVE BENEFIT FROM THAT, IF THAT PROBLEM/ISSUE HAS BEEN SOLVED, ON OUR PLANET OF EARTH. HEALTH, PROSPERITY AND PEACE
24. Alternative to settlement building is what?
Roman   (05.24.13)
Good Kerry is commited to solving Israel problem but what is the strong alternative to settlement building that will generate investment and wealth for us the children of God? I proposed Kerry show us land to build airport in Jerusalem because I love direct flight to the Holy land not only sleeping abodes. Thank you Kerry.
25. Sarah B
Ben David Shlomo   (05.24.13)
Surely you realise that you are building villas and apartments for the Palestinians? Thanks for that. When the borders are settled and the "adjustments" are made, the jews will move back to their border, won't they?
26. Mr Kerry Let Me Get This Straight
(05.24.13)
Your in Israel At the behest of you Out Of Touch boss? You say Settlements are Not the Issue? But just today a stiff neck brit (hague) States the brits are losing patients with Israel and it's Settlements in Judea and Samaria Jewish Lands Before their ever was a great briton? All This Mess Was Created by a brit balfour, mr kerry There Will Never Be Another arab country Craved Out Of Jewish Lands Again! You Are Wasting Your Time and your boss Won't Ever Get It! Shabbat Shalom/ Baruch Ha Shem
27. Time for hard decision to claim Judea and Samaria forever.
Chaim ,   Israel   (05.24.13)
Kerry is right, but not in the despicable way he intended. It is time for Israel to make the hard decision to claim our ancestral heartland of Judea and Samaria forever. Time to make the hard decision to end all support for evil Fictional Palestine.
28. Israel
Justjams ,   Jerusalem   (05.24.13)
Was fictional not too long ago
29. Mr Kerry Maybe You Can Help Me?
(05.24.13)
I have read this article More Than Once and Can't Seem To Find Bullet Points for abu mazen and the arabs? No where in this article is What Good Justures the FRACTIONED arabs will be making concesions on? Like No Voice, a elected (recent) voice, hamas Changing their Charter Which Calls For The Destruction Of Israel and it's People, NO RIGHT OF RETURN, Undivided Jewish Capital Jerusalem, and of coarse Handing Over The Temple Mount To The Rightful Custodians (Israelite/Henrews)? Oh yea your boss NEVER Considers Putting Pressure on the FAKENSTIANS!!! Shabbat Shalom/Baruch Ha Shem
