1. Hey! Why don't you summon me? Ailiyahu
Ailiyahu ,   USA   (05.25.13)
MK Gafni, I am not an impostor. I use facebook solely for the purpose to promote my peace plan for the middle east and Israel. See it for yourself... www.facebook.com/pages/PEACE-Solution-for-Middle-East-by-Ailiyahu-Hanavi/437204043025257 Go extend a hand and open a contact to the Taliban! They are your brothers! Have you tried? You think it's impossible? I don't. You are religious and they are too, they are waiting for us to unite. Why don't you summon me? Aren't you waiting for me all those years? Ailiyahu haNavi

Edithann ,   USA   (05.25.13)
Being forced to confront the new world must be very uncomfortable... TATA
3. I doubt Zuckerberg wants to come to Israel to be scolded
Scott ,   Ramat Gan, Israel   (05.25.13)
4. Ridiculous!
Phoenix ,   Israel   (05.25.13)
Why would he wan to assist to the Knesset? Just because he's Jewish? Israeli problems are not his business! He has a successful life and a very busy one to attend to listen the stupid problems of Israeli MKs. Ridiculous!!!
5. More questions or Mr. Zuckerberg
Linda ,   Canada   (05.25.13)
During this discussion, Mr.Zuckerberg or his representative, should also be asked why Facebook allows anti-Semitic hate pages to flourish despite reports and requests to have them removed. Organized groups of pro-Israel Facebook users from all over the world report these vile pages that contain anti-Jewish hate symbols and hate speech. Yet these pages are rarely taken down, with Facebook saying they don't violate their community standards. Yet their community standards state "we do not permit individuals or groups to attack others based on their race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, sex, gender, sexual orientation, disability or medical condition." How do Holocaust denial pages, pages that honour Hitler, posts, photos and comments that insult and slander Jews and Israel not violate these standards? I so wish this topic would get on the agenda at that meeting. Fraudulent profiles, which happens a lot on Facebook and has happened to me as well, is only one problem Mr. Zuckerberg must answer to.
6. hate speech and such
Ilana   (05.25.13)
I agree with Linda completely. The anitsemitism and hate speech found on fb is horrendous. Openly calling for the genocide of Jews, the total destruction and death of Israelis, swasticas and lies are never removed despite consistent reporting.
7. to those comments above
Sarah   (05.25.13)
Impostering is not just a problem for Israelis. Israel is just the first one to address it officially. Perhaps when you are impostered and slandered you will agree that it should be taken are of. Try to keep your hatred out of it.
8. If MK doesn't use Facebook, how did he learn
Barbara ,   Haifa Israel   (05.25.13)
about fake profile site? (scratching my head)
9. The Facebook staff that is in charge of complains
Rachel ,   Sweden   (05.25.13)
does not do the job it is supposed to. There are many hate pages opened at Facebook that includes incitement against Jews, call for the destruciton of the Jewish state Israel, spreading classic anti - semitic rumors, pages opened to glorify Hitler. The staff do not consider these pages offending or against Facebooks regulations. I am glad that Mr Gafni is taking up this and have invited the founde, Mr Zuckerberg, to attend the discussions at the Israeli government about this.
10. Not ridiculous
Serge ,   Antwerp, Belgium   (05.25.13)
I suppose there is no chance Mr Zuckerberg will attend the meeting. Though, the invitation of the Facebook CEO secured Mr Gafni press attention. Identity theft is a problem, not only in Israel. It is legitimate to summon Facebook to debate this problem. Facebook is also known to be a secretive company that is not available for public or press to communicate with.
11. #8 Barbara
rom ,   israel   (05.25.13)
I don't use Farcebook either. Someone could, however, open a page with my identity and I could be informed about it by someone who knows me. Can happen to anyone.
12. To Rachel from Sweden
serge ,   Antwerp, Belgium   (05.25.13)
Facebook is very good at removing pictures of naked human bodies. They care more about some visible flesh on a picture than incitement and hate speach.
13. Zuckenberg Opportunlst
Zechariah   (05.25.13)
Zuckenberg is a clever opportunist who has made billions but has its alleged contributed to charity .Personally I find face book a poisened chalice .
14. Stop with the invitations, prosecute
Quixote ,   New York   (05.27.13)
Online impersonation is illegal in New York. Since this Facebook page is visible in New York, MK Gafni should contact the Manhattan District Attorney's office and have the matter investigated. If need be, the impostor can be arrested and extradited to the States for trial and incarceration.
