Why on earth would one want to give up pride events, needed or not ?????
4. The Gay Gene
Adam Neira ,   Paris, France   (05.29.13)
Tourism is a positive industry for Israel. The Holy Land should be a place that people want to visit. But some visitors should be encouraged whilst others shouldn't. Israeli government sponsorship of "Pride" events (why isn't there a Heterosexual Pride March BTW, but I'm getting off the point.) is not a good idea. Ancient Gomorrah, Rome and Athens were full of urbane, intelligent, chic people. BTW, there is no "Gay Gene". Homosexual orientation is a result of traumatic conditioning in childhood, often repressed, and poor later life choices. P.S. It would be a very dark day indeed if the State of Israel ever seriously considered legalising same sex marriage, but fortunately most Jews, and Muslims for that matter, respect the principles of traditional families, heterosexuality and monogamy. France has passed the same sex legislation, but a seriously large protest against the law was held by the "Manif pour Tous" organisers in Paris last Sunday May 26th. (Upwards of a million people). In better news recently parliaments in Australia, Finland, Russia and Northern Ireland voted against same sex marriage.
5. Pagan Pride
Brod ,   USA   (05.29.13)
Pagan Pride will turn off millions of potential Judeo-Christian pilgrims planning to visit Jerusalem/Holy Land. Far from helping tourism, it erodes tourists' confidence and tarnishes Israel. It is time to stop turning the Land of Israel into a Pagan Land. Israel means the follower of the GOD of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.
6. How sad, and humiliating for Judaism in Eretz Yisrael
Baruch ,   Boston, USA   (05.29.13)
7. They had better stay in Tel Aviv

Most of Israel isn't all that tolerant.
8. Blessings
Moshico ,   Jerusalem   (05.29.13)
But could they dress modestly, not all gays like to get undressed in the streets and show off their flesh. I think straights would except gays better if they would act normal in public, I mean they are normal so then act normal. Hats off to homosexuals who are proud of who they are just keep sex in the bedroom.
9. pride
Peter ,   USA   (05.29.13)

13. Great Tel Aviv-Jaffa
David Clarke ,   Liverpool, England   (05.29.13)
I hope those attending the Tel Aviv-Jaffa Pride have a brilliant time, the city of Tel Aviv-Jaffa is a vibrant beautiful metropolis with gorgeous beaches, fantastic restaurants and a great nightlife, a city of great people and a bastion of equality and tolerance that symbolizes all that is good about Israel. It is a place were Jews and Palestinian Arabs can live together in peace and were gay people are not made to feel like second class citizens in their own country, and a place were racism, homophobic, religious and nationalistic extremism and bigotry do not rear their ugly heads. Tel Aviv-Jaffa is an example of what the whole of Israel may become one day.

20. Brod, son settle down now
Hetero Granny ,   Israel   (05.29.13)
First of all what is "Judeo-Christian" some new kind of "Shatnes" (forbidden mix of wool and linen see book of Breehsheet/Genesis) Son for the record there's Judaism and there's Christianity. Each religion has many different sects and sub-groupings. I would like to understand how you it is that you speak on behalf of all of them. I would like to understand how it is that you speak for millions of people - only Pope Francis I is officially authorized to speak on behalf of millions of Catholics. Are you a religious leader? And about your overall judgmental tone...son what happened to the fundamental Christian tenet "Love the sinner, hate the sin"? Did you forget that one. May I suggest that you combine "Love the sinner, hate the sin" with you can catch more flies with honey than vinegar. Son you are bitter and I feel sorry for you. In the meantime I for one will be taking my 80 year old self to the party in Tel Aviv I just love spending time with happy positive young people!

24. Hetero #20
Brod ,   USA   (05.29.13)
Don't equate Papism with Christianity. Papism is Paganism. I have read the Bible from cover to cover and the GOD of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob-the Creator of the Heavens and Universe-the GOD of the Bible has the same message for Sodom and Gomorrah.
25. 9 Peter...G-d is not pleased

26. disgust, pure disgust

This is a Jewish state and should have Jewish values, not follow the immorality of the gentile nations.
27. #8 - Moshico
Haya ,   Holon   (05.30.13)
But that is what it is all about - and only about - sex.
28. #27- Haya
Moshico ,   Jerusalem   (05.30.13)
Do you think that being Gay is just about sex. Being gay is about living with a same sex partner and having a life like a normal straight couple. Do normal straight couples only think about sex. If so the population would be much bigger than it is today.
29. amazing! so proud of being Israeli!
nadav ,   Holon   (05.30.13)
Despite the cultural, religious, and regional pressures, Israel proves to be a haven of open mindedness, openness, and hope! I am proud to be Israeli!
30. @#24 Brod u r like Archie Bunker
Hetero Granny ,   Israel   (05.30.13)
angry, bitter, & judgmental. Place yourself in the hands of the G-d...for you are a sinner and a blasphemer. I will pray for you.
