1. There was no "conviction" as no crime was committed.
Miron ,   USA   (05.29.13)
Police investigation is a public information. So, they have no right to claim "disclosures" since they are not a secret organization working in hiding. There are administrative instructions on handling documentation that are not subject to criminal prosecution. Those are "administrative" guidance. And the misuse of vocabulary in this article is gratutious enough to call it political blood libel. Mr. Lieberman is innocent and the sooner jury given a chance to dismiss this shamefull sham of a prosecution the better it is for everyone, particularly already strained budget of Israel.
2. That was acting instinctively guilty!
(05.29.13)
after all that is what destroying evidence is all about! BTW Miron Israel has its own set of laws and for the record they are really different from those of the United States.
3. So Lieberman acted 'instinctively'.
Dee Bee ,   Israel   (05.29.13)
Now that seems to be correct. As a Russian bully and friend of Stalin-Putin, his instincts are to destroy the evidence! Lieberman sold his supporters with broken election promises, sold out his party in the merger with Likud. He sold out Israel to Putin and sold out the Israeli Taxpayer on exorbitant overseas trips and antagonized further the already antagonistic world. The only "good" Lieberman has done is help those who are vilifying Israel, supporting BDS and the Archbishop Desmond Tutu hate Israel Campaign and feeding the fires of Antisemitism. Maybe Lieberman will have the good sense to defect or go back to Russia and serve his Russian Master, Tzar Vlad I.
4. #1 so what?
(05.29.13)
You are right, but so what? Lieberman is a Zionist, so even when he does not commit a crime he is accused, investigated and charged. If he was a Leftist, nothing would happen even if he was guilty, ayen erech Weinstein.
5. In the meantime AG Weinstein isn't prosecuted
Yosi ,   Gilo-Jerusalem   (05.29.13)
for hiring an illegal alian? Oh, ya they slapped his wife on the wrist. How lovely. Got to love our justice system. Why hasn't Weinstein been asked to step down yet? Talk about hypocracy!
6. It's not about a note..it is about financial fraud
exUK ,   Tel Aviv   (05.29.13)
Meanwhile our courts have messed about for several years and it has been in all the papers. That is not how justice is done.Trouble with Israel is,being a small country, everyone knows everyone else and covers for them(protexia)In any other place if accused you would step down, resign or not be in public office. We seem to have different ways.We ignore high court if they say settlement is illegal then ask publicly, how to make legal what is illegal. What a farce.
