Whatever the actual status is of the delivery of these new toys is, the fact remains that the timeline to permanently shift the dynamic of the Syrian situation to a more positive configuration is the next six months. Before the S-300's become operational they will need to be delivered, unpacked and installed. Operators will then need to be trained. This is going to take at least half a year.
