Obama stated to the world clearly that his red line would be if Syria used chemical weapons the U.S. would act forcefully. Syria has and the U.S. has acted like an impotent country powerless to stand up for what is right. Putin in Russia, Assad in Syria, Khameini in Iran, and Nasrallah in Lebanon are all laughing at America and our President who is willing to let tens of thousands of people be slaughtered because he does not want to see America, the world's only superpower, get involved. If you Israelis believe that Obama is going to stop Iran from developing a nuclear weapon then you must also believe in Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny, and neither one of those two are friends of the Jews either.

Israel, by not finishing off Hamas and Hezbollah when it had the chance showed weakness, only emboldening the beast. Those who believe they're following the will of Allah will not be dissuaded by the overtures of mere mortals. Compromise, a tenet of a Western Civilization is seen as weakness to be exploited. Israel et.al. in trying to avoid battling the beast are in fact guaranteeing it, and on less favorable terms. Yes, the US/Israel can attack Iran, but what will happen the next day? No one on earth will help US/Israel and in fact over 85% of the counties on earth, including Russia and China, will severely condemn the US and Israel and many will help Iran. At the same time Israel will be physically attacked and the US will be economically attacked, driving the US and the Israeli economies into deep, deep depression. How long before the wreaked US economy causes 80% of Americans to call for the US to abandon Israel and let it suffer for causing the problem? While Israelis keep calling for and delusional think it will be quick and painless, in their hubris have vastly underestimated just how bad it will get in Israel. I suspect after weeks of brutal destruction in Israel many Israeli will deeply regret starting a war that other will finish. It is impossible for the US/Israel to stop Iran from getting nuclear weapons if they want to, so it is long past time for Israelis to just accept it. Israel has reached the limits of its military and has no other options.
