Beary White ,   Norway   (05.31.13)
..just wondering when the killings will start?? 100.000 dead in Syria, you can do better than that? remember the idiot who eat th heart of a soldier, his company had killed 40.000 alawites...Erdogan will do better and might remove hezbollas terrorists.
2. Erdogan: another megalomane
C   (05.31.13)
the megalomane erdogan, like others before him, cannot be satisfied with winning elections. he must impose his will in all spheres and increase his grab of power at the expense of the will of the people regardless of costs and consequences.
3. Just when I thought
HaifaGuy   (06.01.13)
only religious fanatics were in the rioting business, finally forces of good have stepped out of the shadows. This one is for you, young Turks, may you win this battle and, eventually, the war.
4. Springtime
Ron ,   oc us   (06.01.13)
I'm of 2 minds re:Erdegan. Unlike Syria Turkey could come up with somebody worse than Erdogan. Erdogan has supported the rebels in Syria and is wary of Iran. I don't know what will follow him if he falls. I do sympathize with the Turks that don't want to go by way of raging Islam. And I don't think that Erdogan will pull his Jew card as this has nothing to do with Israel, we will see.
5. islamists vs the will of the people
tom ,   toronto, canada   (06.01.13)
erdogan "would remove one of central Istanbul's few green spaces", and build a giant mosque. kinda says it all, don't ya think?
6. What, no Jews to blame?
BUILD BABY BUILD !!! ,   United States   (06.01.13)
Erdogen is finally paying the price for his monumental idiocy and arrogance. Hope the Turks dismember his body and let the dogs have a proper meal. And, I mean that in a nice way.
7. The next Turkish presidential election is in 2014
Vlad   (06.01.13)
We'll see what the majority of Turks really believe then.
8. Saw This Coming
Jordan Ariel ,   USA   (06.01.13)
And welcome it. The Rabid Erdogan has done little but damage the nation of Turkey. Like most Arab leaders he tries to cover his faults and failures by trying to incite hatred against a people (Israel) who historically have great relations with each other. He and his lackeys have been poison. Time for a Panacea i hope.
9. Turkey riots
graczek ,   Maryland, USA   (06.01.13)
Prime Minister Erdogan will soon put these rabble-led riots down and teach these insurrectionists a lesson they will never forget, assuming they survive the punishments he will inflict. Let it be a lesson to all who rise up against legally constituted authorities.
10. No2 that sounds like you're talking about Bibi
(06.01.13)
11. Too late.
Uzziel   (05.31.13)
Turkey is already lost to Islamofascism.
12. Finally the Turks wake up !
Mark ,   T.a.Israel   (06.01.13)
Erdogan has been a scourge for Turkey ! He has to be eliminated and sent to gallows !
13. Being how close Erdogan is to Obama...
Steven Wilson ,   Anchorage, Alaska   (06.01.13)
You have to wonder when the professional golfer in charge....will come out of his cave at the nearest golf club...and establish no kissing for heterosexuals as well? He'll leave the other group, who promotes same sex marriage alone...because they are in his back pocket and vote for him. We haven't seen enough death from 1584 established norms being forced down every ones throats. Lets try 1984...oh possibly 2014 norms...replaced by 1584 norms. Get all the people riled up...and let the mass murders begin over total lack of basic human rights....such as kissing....and having a girlfriend and wife...without the government following you around slapping you every chance they get. Freedom to possibly procreate....who ever thought we would be fighting for that freedom. Basic animal rights don't interfere with such behaviour...but Religious idiots...have to get their two sense into everything we do.
14. Well they can't call it the 'Arab' Spring
steve from Raleigh   (06.01.13)

16. Is it possible Erdogan will be replaced by someone decent?
Chaim ,   Israel   (06.01.13)
Is it possible Erdogan will be replaced by someone decent? Someone who is not a Islamist terrorist lover? Someone who is able to think rationally and realize Israel has much to offer. Israel's foes have absolutely nothing worthwhile to offer. One can always hope. But I wouldn't hold my breath on it.
17. Not in touch
USA   (06.01.13)
Erdogan's attempting a vision that is not in touch with the direction where the majority of Turks are heading. Let's see how this develops.
18. Turkey & Erdoga
Son Of Cyrus ,   UK   (06.01.13)
Time for the free and civilized people of Turkey to stand up against the backward and antiquated Islamic Culture and find their place as the gateway between Europe and Asia to free Asian Continent from the Islamic Plague. Good Luck to all Free and Peace Loving People of Turkey!

20. Perhaps theyll realize ERDOGAN 2 blame 4 Mavi Marmara deaths
Cyberbrain ,   Israel   (06.01.13)
Israel was merely protecting against opening the door to Iranian arms shipments directly to Hamas Erdogan also to blame for soured Turkish relations with the West as well as Israel

23. graczek or gerzek
atasev   (06.01.13)

24. This won't end anytime soon! So proud!
Sarah ,   Rehovot   (06.01.13)
I just finished speaking to one of my friends there..he's going to Iskenderun to participate..My Facebook page is exploding with news from my friends over there about what is really happening. This is great! It will continue for awhile I believe. This is not just a protest over some trees in Taksim Meydan, it's a protest against Tayyip and his crazy politics and desire to relive the days of the Ottoman Empire combined with Islamism. The new laws on alcohol are not helping. The people have had enough. Just look at the pics of the bosphorous bridge... all those people walking from Asia to Europe warms my heart. This will not end soon, nor will it be peaceful. Hope Tayyip gets what he deserves or his stomach cancer gets the better of him!
25. #5 correction
Sarah ,   Rehovot   (06.01.13)
He wants to build another shopping mall. Not a mosque. There are already so many malls in Istanbul and in Turkey in general. This is the last thing they want or need. Taksim is historic for many reasons. This Gezi Parki is kind of integral to Taksim and its charm. tearing down the trees and building a mall would ruin the esthetic and history. The origins of this protest are rooted in saving the trees and keeping the space sacred. Turks in general are fed up with Tayyip and his policies. This was just a great catalyst for something bigger... That's all.
26. Graczek, you're a disgusting little troll
HaifaGuy   (06.01.13)
you are like a fart in the elevator that just refuses to vent out. Whatever stinky behind you came out of, you'd better find your way back into it and fast before the good guys come wielding a toilet spray.
27. dolt
Chimo ,   Las Vegas   (06.01.13)
Once again you show that you are nothing but a moronic fool who spews crap about subjects that you know nothing about. Why don't you go patronize the arabs or neo Nazis. Your on their level
28. Graczek i wish you to live with an islamic country!!!
Daniela   (06.01.13)
by the way where do you live????? interesting !
29. Schmerdogan
Isac   (06.01.13)
Karma is a bitch. In the end all Islamo-Fascists will be ending up the same. Six feet down. I very much hope now, that the Turkish people will do the same as the Italians did to Mussolini. I pray for the return to sanity within Turkey.
30. Graczek, like always, you're out of touch
Democracy   (06.01.13)
and out of your mind. Had you not used this odd Polish name, I would have thought you are a member of Hezbollah living in conspiracy in the USA. Actually, you represent everything opposite to US values. So much so that I shouldn't be surprised if the Americans kick your a--- out of the land of democracy. For your information, the Turks have already been used to democracy ever since Kemal Attaturk. Now, Erdogan is stripping them, slowly but surely, of everything connected to freedom and democracy. Since most of the Turks do not agree being led by ONE man, they want a democracy and a democratic system, like in the US. But you wouldn't get it, would you?
