1. noam is not a political philosopher-more of a polemicist
Cipora Julianna Kohn ,   Z   (06.02.13)
miracles will never cease to happen. noam chomsky, who has never met a terrorist he did not like, and who has supported hamas, hezbollah and iran, and works indefatigably for the bds movement against israel, is for once taking the good side. erdogan the megalomane will hopefully be deposed, one way or another.
2. As I live and breathe!
Jew ,   JewLandia (Israel)   (06.02.13)
Chomsky CAN criticize a country other than Israel!
3. No Hawking for the Turks now!

4. Chomsky is nothing but the enemy of humanity, not Islamism.
Adam Smith   (06.02.13)
5. #2 Chomsky will criticize anyone...
(06.02.13)
...if he is paid enough. The question is who paid him to criticize Erdogan, Obama's BFF.
6. Noam Chomsky
NYC Girl   (06.02.13)
Has the insufferable Mr. Chomsky finally awoken from his stupor? Apparently, he was even unaware of the fact that there are more journalists imprisoned in Turkey than in any other country....including China, or that Erdogan was been slowly (or maybe not so slowly) eroding Turkey's secular government in favor of a more Islamist one.
7.  Just a Linguist
Edouard ,   Montreal Canada   (06.02.13)
Stop talking about him He is NOTHING
8. WHO CARES??
Avi   (06.02.13)
What influence (besides the attention he undeservedly gets from the lefty press) does this guy have?
9. Will Erdogan..
Mike Lund/Haifa ,   Lund, Sweden   (06.02.13)
... Condemn his own country police, actions and policies now? Will he demand an official apology and compensations to the dead and the injured? Will he question how a country could use such excessive force and violence towards people whom only wants to point out the shortcomings in their own government or is those condemnations only reserved to the democratic and Jewish state of Israel? Will he have the AG draw up charges and prosecute the ones in charge of this, i.e himself or the interior minister? Very doubtful that this twofaced hypocrit would ever hold himself, his government or his country to the same standards he condemns the actions of the Israeli government.
10. Chomsky the hater.
michael Pielet ,   israel   (06.02.13)
Chomsky is a self hating Jew.
11. He's even more senile now..just forgot the Armenian genocide
Tevye ,   Chelm   (06.02.13)
"most shameful moments of Turkish history"- yeah sure... this guy is getting more senile then ever. I'm sure that the genocide of the Armenians by the Turkish was a much more shameful moment in Turkish history. Oh, and also sending a boat full of armed terrorists to Israel, that was also shameful....
12. I'm absolutely amazed that Prof. Chomsky
M. Davison ,   Ra'anana, Israel   (06.02.13)
Could find the time in his busy schedule of harassing an infirm, wheelchair-bound sick 71-year-old man to agree to not participate in a conference in Israel, supporting Hizballah and Hamas as "social organizations" worthy of praise, supporting the Blacklist, Demonize and Slander movement and generally demonize Israel to comment on a real human rights abuse elsewhere... Will wonders never cease?
13. Wise in his own eyes.
msh ,   Haifa   (06.02.13)
He is not a political philosopher, nor an anarchist. He is a myophic shallow political dilletant that belives he is a cool Jewboy if he supports anti-semitism and who loves to bite the Uncle Sam's hand that pays his salary at MIT. And his books (I've read many of them) have the intellectual depth and historical integrity of old Soviet agitprop publications.
14. Noam Chomsky is one of those self hating
Mirror   (06.02.13)
Jews who has brought tremendous damage to his own people both in Israel and elsewhere. He did that by demonization, by unjust criticism, by hatred of the Jews and by constantly sleeping with Israel's worst and most vicious enemies. All in all, Mr Chomsky has earned the title of "the most infamous Jews" ever to exist on the surface of this planet. My simplest question is whether he can ever look into a mirror without instantly throwing up?
15. Turkey's Response to Istanbul Protests
Joel S. Gehrke ,   Nashville, Tennessee   (06.02.13)
Injuries and death are inevitable whenever you have thousands of young men making havoc in a city. It is irresponsible for men of weight, like Noam Chomsky, to rush in and compare Turkey's response to "the darkest moments in Turkish history." Two people have been killed. Two. If that's as bad as it gets in Turkey, we would save hundreds of lives if we kidnapped Erdogan and forced him to be mayor of Chicago AND Detroit. Because in America, it's far, far, far too late for the Academy to deny that that that's where leftist inspires riots lead.

forming in Israel? Just seeing his mug ruins my day. "Thank you" Ynet!
17. chomskey condemned Obama for killing Bin Laden
zionist forever   (06.02.13)
If there is something to moan about Chomsky moans about it. Israel of course will never be able to do anything right, even if we allowed palestinians a state and right of return he would condemn Israel for not doing it sooner so its certainly not surprising he is running around trying to get anybody who is high profile to condemn Israel. He constantly condemns American policies including the assassination of Bin Laden because he should have been taken alive and given a fair trial. Now he is condemning Turkey for its riot control techniques. Using tear gas and water cannons are not unique to Turkey its a tactic used worldwide. Problem is you give somebody like Chomsky a degree, writes a few books and he now knows more than everybody else in the world because he has his degree and so he condemns anybody who doesn't agree with him ot tries to convert others to think the same way as he does. Bet he thinks he knows what I am planning for dinner tonight.
18. # 17
Robert Blum ,   New Albany USA   (06.02.13)
Obama did NOT kill Bin Laden! He merely took credit for it as a political tool to gain votes. He previously stonewalled those who were ready in moments to kill him!
19. he is a socialist, he is against the islamists
ghostq   (06.02.13)
mark my words, islamists and socialists r doomed to collide, so far the hatred to Israel united them, but it will not do, since idiology vs religious faith is much hard core problem, socialist don't even believe in god. they will demand from the muslims to reject faith, and on the other side the muslims will be going on jihad against the socialists. I won't be suprised if the muslim world will declair Israel as socialist country in order to open war.
20. Find a way to have MIT drop this old fart

21. Nobody is dead
sipahi ,   Istanbul   (06.02.13)
There weren't any deaths in the demonstrations. Sure, there were some light injuries.
22. Cholmsky like Dawkins live a deluded
norbus ,   Jerusalem   (06.02.13)
Godlike fantasy, that divorce them from all and any reality and bring forward their perceived self importance His sickness will get stale and wear off, leaving him a hangover of shame and self dejection
23. Sipahi,
David Israel ,   New York, USA   (06.02.13)
My old relative in Izmir has to live at her bath room only. Spent the night ther because it is the only room where the pepper spray did not penetrate. She lives on Sair Esref Bulvari. If she is affected in such a way those y0ung people in Kordon, Kibris Sehitleri Caddesi and Gundogdu must have serious health issues and injuries. AKP is hitting real Turkish patriots. We are supporting them here in New York. This despotism must end and sooner better then later. And to the police I ask Kardes kardesi vururmu?
24. why does this guy get any publicity?
Barney ,   USA   (06.02.13)
his ignorance is only exceeded by his sense of self importance
25. Why is what this old hasbeen says or
Robert Haymond ,   Teko'a, Israel   (06.02.13)
does news? Allowing him a forum of any kind is a mistake.
26. Maybe Chomsky will now have the courage to bash China!
Dee Bee ,   Israel   (06.02.13)
Now there is an occupation! I am sure that with the EU boycotting products made by Palestinians in Israeli factories on the West Bank, Noam Chomsky will use his linguistic skill to find his beloved Jew killing friends jobs when the factories are forced to close.
27. Science should look into what makes certain Jews into active
tom ,   tel aviv   (06.02.13)
