1. The Palestinian Media have a duty and responsibility
Sammy ,   Newcastle   (06.03.13)
To publish and broadcast such stories for the Palestinian readership Whilst they are double quick to follow stories about Israeli Palestinian problems...its also their duty to follow stories of Israeli Palestinian achievements And its the Palestinian Media who have to set this example to foreign media who love to portray 'newsworthy' stories of Palestinian Israeli discord and Palestinian 'Victimhood' and totally ignore all the examples of everyday cooperation, goodwill, mutual help and yes...friendship We owe that much to the young generation of Palestinians to understand that the future inevitably lies in the acceptance and promotion of Israel/Palestine harmony
2. such a touchnig story
Shadi ... Gaza ,   Gaza strip   (06.03.13)
hopefully , your boy get well soon and start his life .... thanx for donating to a Palestinian boy who desperately needs a new kidney
3. #1Sammy: Why only the Palestinian Media?
Dee Bee ,   Israel   (06.03.13)
Do you think that SKYNews, the BBC, France 24, CNN, Al Jazeera and the like will even mention this in a headline? It should also be noted that Yakoub has been treated in the Shaare Zedek Medical Center for 7 years! He is one of many Arab children and adults, even from Gaza and from as far afield as Iraq to be treated in Israel. The foreign media never report that Syrian "Rebel" fighters have also been treated in hospitals in the north of Israel. Of course not. It is just not politically correct in the Hate Israel World of the UK and the Europe! It's just a lot easier to hate Israel, vilified by Roger Waters, Elvis Costello, Ken Livingston, George Galloway, Annie Lennox, Noam Chomsky and now Stephen Hawking than to just think for one moment that Israel values the lives of human beings, even if they come from countries that hate Jews and Israel.
4. kidney transplantation
juergen m. moeller ,   gavorrano italy   (06.03.13)
Thank you for your precisely reporting article. "Jerusalem Post" made a sentimental sensation out of the simply human behaviour of religious jewish parents, who did not refuse to donate their dead son' s kidney to a palestinian boy. Making a sensation of it is counterproductive propaganda. It shows, that normal human behaviour towards palestinians is not normal any longer, but an exemption
5. What an honorable family
Jamal ,   East Jerusalem   (06.03.13)
I offer my deepest condolences to the honorable Naor family. I also wish the Palestinian boy a speedy recovery. Peace !
6. Apartheid?
Nathan Mowszowski ,   Raanana   (06.03.13)
Not bad for an "Apartheid State". Kol hakavod to Noam's parents. You have elevated his Neshama in Shamayim many levels. May you be comforted among the mourners of Zion and Jerusalem. To Yakoub and his family: you have received a new life. May you continue for many years in good health and let your people know what warm relations are available with the goodwill shown.
8. a teacher on human behavior
Anna ,   Montreal, Canada   (06.03.13)
What's wrong in being sentimental? As you see in this story only propaganda then you don't see nothing. It's wrong even to write "..religious jewish parents, who did not refuse to donate their dead son' s kidney..". These people donated. They did not "didn't refuse to donate". By the way, Israeli hospitals have Jewish and Arab doctors working together in cooperation and mutual trust for decades. Your lesson of "simply human behavior" directed to the wrong audience.
9. Nobility.
michael Pielet ,   israel   (06.03.13)
How noble. I would not donate my kidneys to any arab. Under any circumstances. I am not noble. However I would contribute a significant amount of funds to repatriate all arabs to their countries of origin. Does anyone think that this kidney donation will have any effect on the emnity the arab-islamic world has for the Jewish people? Of course not!
10. @8. Anna, Montreal
juergen m. moeller ,   gavorrano italy   (06.03.13)
There is a misunderstanding: propaganda for me was the article in the "Jerusalem Post", not in Ynet. Remains the fact, that all journals write about the seldom things, not the normal ones.
11. What a lovely and uniqe gesture..!
Cohen,Israel   (06.03.13)
Well done for the parents. And number #9- You are a racist bigot. I recall many cases in which Arabs, including several Palestinians, who gave permission to donate their loved ones parts to Jewish/Israeli people.
12. the kidney donation/transplant
Irwin Z. ,   Miami, Fl., USA   (06.03.13)
Yes, Israel is an Apartied state Jimmy Carter, Alice walker, Roger(putz) waters.
13. Better idea.
michael Pielet ,   israel   (06.03.13)
Better idea send this little arab boy and his family back to their arab country of origin. Let Israeli Jewish doctors go to the arab countries and instruct the arab doctors how to perform life saving transplants for the benefit of arab people in the arab nations.
14. Good deeds and lovingkindness.
michael Pielet ,   israel   (06.03.13)
Before World War 2, Lithuanian Jews was known for their good deeds and lovingkindness extended towards other Jews and gentiles. Jewish physicians were sought out by the Lithuanian gentiles. No matter, the day after the German army invaded Lithuania the Lithuanian nation, gentiles, rose up and exterminated over 200,000 Jewish children, women and men. I quess they forgot about all the good deeds the Jews performed. And the arabs............
15. Return
michael Pielet ,   israel   (06.03.13)
Its easy to throw around words like bigot, racist, apartheid and occupation. #11. In reality you have no idea what the words mean. I support the Jewish people living in the land of israel. i support the arab people living in their 22 arab nations. That is not bigotry nor racism. When was the last time an arab, any arab condemned the arab media for caliing Jews, monkeys and pigs? Let the arabs living in the land of israel return to their arab nations of origin and take you with them.
16. Apples v. Grapes
CuriousDave ,   Los Angeles, USA   (06.03.13)
As wonderful as this news item is, it does little to comfort those Palestinians who were forcibly evicted from their homes to make way for Israeli settlements. Until that issue is resolved, the media will continue beating Israel over the head and overlook its virtues - sadly, it makes for more compelling press.
17. @13, sending them home
juergen m. moeller ,   gavorrano italy   (06.03.13)
Bright idea, sending them all home: the palestinean refugees back to Palestine, and the extremist jewish settlers back from the Westbank to New York. Did you mean that?
18. @ #17
Lauren ,   USA   (06.03.13)
He meant sending them back to Jordan, Egypt, Syria, Lebanon, etc., etc., since that's where the "palestinian" arabs originate from. There is no "palestine".
