Everybody knows about dreadful Israeli bureaucracy and everybody suffers from it. It's nice to know that these academaim will be helped to get through this horror, BUT why not to start with clearing these Augian stables and rid people and country of this seemingly incurable decease once and for all?
2. braindrain
ej ,   tlv   (06.04.13)
how about privatizing the universities? Does anyone also think that professor's getting paid by the State with tax payer money should have lifetime tenure?! Privatize the universities, encourage additional technical schools and colleges in the periphery. Also, are there really no jobs for bioligist? - Then what's all the talk about the bio-tech industry in israel??!

the intellects combine their brain power to solve the inefficiency of the Israeli government that was in part responsible for their leaving in the first place and help streamline the process for so many others that need this same form of help? When multitudes of Jews come home to live this can only be of help, that and KEEP BUILDING!!!!
6. What about the Palestinian Brain Drain, its more important t
TUTU ,   Jerusalem   (06.04.13)
Trust me Israeli policies are only driving the educated, rich palestinians out and leaving the Israelis deal with .......
7. Can this work?
Ehud   (06.04.13)
Establishing a government bureaucracy to deal with the problem of government bureaucracy? Are those who 'signed up" for the program truly the best whom we lost? My guess is that someone in Oxford, Harvard, or MIT is less likely to sign up for a government program which 'matches' people to workplaces. Why not change the conditions for everybody in Israel by 1) establishing at least one private university which can attract the elite and compete with what Harvard and MIT pay, and which also will introduce some competition in the state universities; 2) reducing the bureaucracy here rather than expanding it by yet another program. That's like heating the room to unbearable temperatures and then instead of turning the heater off bring in an air-conditioner for cooling (which later turns out to produce hot air instead of cold one)
8. #2 - Privatizing the universities is a PROVEN way
spyguy ,   Seattle   (06.04.13)
to decrease the economy of Israel. All the economic studies across the globe have shown that increasing the availability of university education increases the economy. This was well proven in the US after WW2 and the Vietnam war when millions of soldiers got free university education. These educated individuals helped the US have almost 50 years of continuous prosperity and innovation. Chinese leaders saw the results and have built hundreds of universities to rapidly increase their economic ability. Now the US is trying to limit access to universities an dis seeing a decline in innovation.

Trust me, you are wrong. Dont try & dump the blame on us. Try taking the blame & facing your reality for once. You could have done wonders with Gaza once Israel vacated it. Your leaders could have accepted peace many times, instead they turned down the peace offers from Israel. Your educated rich Palestinians could help your poor Palestinians by voting out Hamas & voting for democratic leaders. The rich Palestinians think only of themselves leaving you all to a life of squalor & terrorism c/o Hamas & dumpy Abbas. Israel vacating J & S will not solve your problems. Israel is not the root of your problems either. Your problem is Hamas & Abass.who use you as scape goats.
