1. "Some" freedom/a wee bit pregnant! Well: you voted them in,
tom ,   tel aviv   (06.04.13)
shmucks! Now you reap the fruit from Prophets Tree! just goes to show, that if you don't invest in general education you end up with an impotent Inelligentsia against vast, unwashed Mob. In case of Israel, the Mob studies at Tel Aviv University...In case of Turkey...it's a goner
2. Do you thing it fair
Mus.Kem ,   Warsaw   (06.04.13)
to insult the vast majority of the Turkish youth? They ve probbably a reason to fell jeopardize their lives to stand up against someone who abuses his powers. You, as an Israeli, should know that Erdogan invited Hamas more than once officially to Ankara and insulted the State of Israel. He also called Zionism a racist Ideology. People are fed up with Erdogan and also with him harbouring Al-Qauida terrorists along the Turkish border to Syria.
3. Erdogan
Jordan Ariel ,   USA   (06.04.13)
Erdogan is a Thug in a suit. Turkey deserves better.

Tom #1 You definetly did not understand the reasons of the demonstration in istanbul.. Those young Turks are the Creme de la Creme well educated (Surprise much well than the average Israeli) anti religious young people. definetly they did not vote for Erdogan in the last election

that is correct, protestors are young students working class and are really well educated, afew friends of mine are participating as well, today hundred of lawyers joined them their purpose is to show prime minister that he cant do whatever he likes like banning alcohol meddling with personal life and to remind him that they are the master not goverment the sooner erdoğan realizes this the better off he ll be in fact in my opinion he if came out and apologized himself he would have been seen as someone who recognizes his mistakes thus further charisma as leader
6. #4:Sorry if I wasn't clear.I know that the "Intelligentsia"
tom ,   tel aviv   (06.05.13)
(the students etc.) didn't vote for Erdogan. Just like in Egypt, it's the uneducated masses, that bring the scourge of Islam upon nations. Makes no difference if they're "better" educated than our leftist "intelligentia", that co-operates with the Islamo-fascists in Israel. This is unfortunately "our" Mob...
7. I hope they name that bridge after the people
American Girl ,   USA   (06.05.13)
killed in the protests! The Turks are standing up for each other. I hope they are able to keep their society secular. Why does their prime minister have anything to say about the park? Istanbul should be deciding the future of their park!
8. Erdogan has been in office too long.
Susan ,   Kfar Saba   (06.05.13)
All countries need term limits for their leaders. I say, "Go Turks" for standing up to him. Maybe this will lead to his defeat in the next election and better relations with Israel.
9. Lesson from Taksim Sq: Try to understand each other.
ENL   (06.05.13)
Left and right can be civilized. Both have to reject extremists. Try to understand each other in a dialectic way. Constantly discard non-functional untrue myths on both wings. Stay enlightened.
