Israel is a democracy, and tolerates peoples' right to practice a different religion, worldover. Israel believes in trade and economy, and going forward. Israel in theory believes in Women's rights, and is making efforts to match practice to theory. There is no death penalty in Israel, which means humanity is a priority here. I did not say Israel was perfect, but certainly far better than the Arab countries surrounding it.

The group thats been making the most gains and is seen as the elite of the rebel groups are the ones affiliated with Al Quaida and I imagine the Israeli commandos would be used as target practise rather then helping with training. Although the other groups are making gains not t the same rate as the Al Quaida ones. Next thing you know Assad will announce is that Israel has now donated nukes to the rebels. For the most part I don't think anybody in Syria believes anything Assad says but there are some I am sure.

There could have been Israelis in Quneitra, having been up there myself I am well aware of the fact that you could be standing in Israel, spit into the air, and have it hit Quneitra; it's that close. Anybody able to think, understands that the war against Syria is in interests of Israel, as Syria is one of the main Iran's allies. No wonder Syrian uprising started right after Israel failed to persuade Assad to abandon its ally Iran during negotiations. Libya was the first step, then Syria, Iran is next.
