Israel and the IOF has been for decades ignoring numerous UN directives concerning its illegal mass murder and illegal occupation of land outside the Israeli State.[UN181] SSAD should now do the same and if Israel dares attack Syria will send them a gift wrapped rocket right to Tel Aviv. The only reason the ME bully is running to the UN is because it fears getting another walloping from Hezbollah.
2. Excuse me, but ....
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (06.09.13)
.... no Syrian tanks in the buffer zone means no Syrian tanks in the buffer zone. That was the agreement reached in 1974. Syria violates it very much to its peril. Israeli tanks can enter the buffer zone, too. Israel will win that one, rest assured. Then the buffer zone gets considerably larger .... and Syria somewhat smaller.
3. HANDS OFF QUNETRA OR ELSE!

putin claims in a memo to the unsc that the armistice agreement between israel and syria is outdated. he claims the right to station troops on the golan, to keep the peace. of course, no word as of yet from the us, europeans, or the unsc.
7. Israel needs to take over the rest of the Golan

12. POWDER KEG
Robert ,   usa   (06.09.13)
I hate war , I hate to see people die in war , but the facts are war is coming and it seems like the Israeli Government is putting there trust in other armies hoping that war can be adverted which is a pipe dream and a delusion. no army has ever defended Israel , outside Israels own. The whole middle east is a powder keg just waiting to explode.the problem Israel is facing nobody fears Israel anymore , The reason why in Israel next war Israel has to win big time to restore Israels prestige in the middle east. May the lord forever bless the state of Israel.
13. Lydia, it's easy to talk out of your kitchen
No threats !   (06.09.13)
in Brisbane and there is no question about the fact that you do condone Syria's brutal murder of 100,000 of its population. Not Israel and not the UN !!! As for your kitchen threats to Tel Aviv, you should be always careful and fearful of a certain/sure Israeli response. At least for the sake of your Hezbollah buddies and for the sake of the Butcher of Damascus.
14. #12 - You might want to think about ...
spyguy ,   Seattle   (06.09.13)
The rather sobering FACT that over the last 10000 years each and every military that has existed has eventually been defeated and humiliated. The IDF will suffer the same fate, so it is probably best for Israel if the government quits being so belligerent. You say Israel has to "win big," but what happens if Israel loses?
15. @14 You might want to think about ...
jrebecca ,   modiin   (06.09.13)
The Egyptian, Roman and Greek empires have fallen. The Turkish Empire is no more. Germany no longer has colonies, and the English empire is a recent memory. And the Jews still exist as they have always done. From Egyptian times to the present, we have something you cant generalize on. Dont bet on the IDF being defeated soon.

Your name hints that you have something new to say, but sadly you are just another analists who repeats anti-Israel ideology under the guise of intellect. You are right that every military suffers a defeat, but that is not the issue here. You talk about belligerence, but ignore the fact that the IDF has never been belligerent and that Israel has never started a war or aggression. I challenge you to name once. The IDF warning to Assad is to reduce the chance of a war. If Israel does not warn Assad, he might try to deploy heavy weapons in Golan and then some misunderstanding could lead to all out war.

Someone needs to remind Putin what happened to the Syrians (and the Russians) the last time they engaged Israel. Israel shot down 82Russian MiGs, most of them actually piloted by Russians. Israel had no losses. Nothing has changed, except perhaps the Russians have gotten sloppier and worse, while Israel has gotten better and better. Israel will make the requisite approach to the United Nations, and lodge the official protest. But if the buffer zone is breached, we aren't going to wait around; we'll take the necessary action. Putin's KGB history is coming into full view. Except Israel isn't in the least bit intimidated. Putin had better tread carefully.
20. One warning is enough...
Get Real ,   UK   (06.10.13)
Assad threatens terror rocket attacks against Israel and expects Israel to allow his tanks free movement in the buffer zone. Israel having warned Syria through UNDOF of the consequences of tank movements is perfectly at liberty to take whatever military action is necessary. #4 - 6 minutes, as long as that?
