1. No surprizes here... but....
On the Balcony ,   Akko/NY/Kyiv   (06.09.13)
The EU oversight of project funding and grants is notoriously lax and considered "easy pickings" by ersatz "NGOs" in many countries such as Ukraine. It is SO lax in fact that I would hesitate to draw any conclusions or postulate any conspiracy theories. That said, the BDS movement or some form of it is very likely to be embraced by the EU as a means of forcing a two state solution on Israel.
2. Israel tax agency
Sam ,   USA   (06.09.13)
should require all NGOs to submit annual accounting of all expenditures and sources of funds including amounts to maintain tax exempt status
3. THE EU ITSELF IS INVOLVED IN BDS
stude ham   (06.09.13)
so what's the fuss over this funding campaign by an organization that itself is going bankrupt?
4. make up your minds!
elke ,   USA   (06.09.13)
The Palestinians lob homemade bombs and rockets, you condemn them as violent and savage. The Palestinians press their cause through non-violent means (demonstrations, petitions to world organizations, boycotts) and you condemn them, issue collective punishments like withholding THEIR taxes, demolish Arab housing, build more for Jews only. (Wooo..."carrying flags." Sooo confrontational! Causes so much harm...) In a democratic world, people may speak out, form associations to advance their causes and agitate for public exposure of wrongs. What the hell else are groups like the JDL, APAIC, and other Jewish organizations doing? Women for Peace are bad, a $7.5 million JDL initiative to track world anti-semitism is good -- and a wise use of funds given Israeli poverty figures?????
5. The NGO Monitor
desi ,   mars   (06.09.13)
is itself funded by the Jewish Agency. That's all i have to say.
6. No surprise at all.
Beary White ,   Norway   (06.09.13)
EU politics is based on political leftist ground. Islam has an easy way to spread through the leftis into the inner circle and manipulate decisions. Now the EU has revealed itself to the whole world, as a hypocratic tool for islam.
7. DUH ! IS NT THIS SURPRISING.
shadoil79 ,   Jerusalem   (06.09.13)
8. Europe is very dangerous!
Daniel ,   Netherlands   (06.09.13)
It should be Israels main strategic interest to divert all human-power resources from Europe and develop a long export community outside the EU.
9. NGO Monitor's Professor Steinberg
Donatus ,   Strasbourg, France   (06.09.13)
just misses the point: BDS is the non-violant action against Apartheid and Segregation of the current politics of Israel. Once this politics civilized, such as been the legal framework in the United States of America and in South Africa, BDS by definition wil be outdated by its supporters. To support this is in the interest of all Member-States of the EU, not too difficult to understand for Professor Steinberg, if you know about the European past, I suppose

Elke, I´m sorry, but all what you said is only propaganda, the true is the opposite

Only one problem - the total amount the Jewish Agency has given NGO Monitor is $0. That's right not a single cent. Guess that means you are a LIAR! NGO Monitor publishes their donor lists - why don't the so-called NGOs do the same? We need a law like America that says that any organization that receives foreign funding be registered as a foreign agent.
14. Restrict their activities
Philippe ,   Raanana   (06.10.13)
All NGO's involved in anti-israel activity must be restricted under security and stability grounds.Their work consist in fueling anti-israel ,anti-zionist violence.
15. Euroscum continues 2000 year vendetta against the jews
bernard ross   (06.10.13)
16. #4 Poor widdle Palestinians
Cynthia ,   USA   (06.10.13)
The Palestinians operate multi-million dollar weapons factories and import the rest as in Arafat's Karine A. Call violent and savage for what it is. Rock throwing demonstrations are violent. Boycotts are cowardly attempts to harm Israel. They never help the Palestinians. If Israel withheld taxes indefinitely it would not cover all the damage caused by Palestinian terror. Demolish arab housing? When was that? Build more for Jews. Why not? The Palestinians do not have the right to use terror against Israel and get support for anti-Israel boycotts from the supposedly unbiased UN. Yet another reason to defund this organization.

18. "undermine the EU's efforts to secure peace in the Middle Ea
Talia ,   NYC   (06.10.13)
NGO Monitor thinks it is the world's gestapo. If you worried about 'undermining the efforts to support peace', look no further than your own government and right wing nuts.
19. Gee, #10, #16
elke ,   usa   (06.10.13)
Israel, please explain how this is propaganda. Everything I wrote can be documented in recent news reports, if you read at all. Do you favor violent or non-violent protest? Or do not believe in free speech? Cynthia, Read your own newspapers and you will have the answers to your questions re: demolishing homes and building on Palestinian land. Palestine is free to seek support for its cause anywhere in the world -- you may not like it but you can hardly call that "terror." Get a grip.
20. or to look on the PLO
Itai ,   Israel   (06.10.13)
and see the hatred they are spreading in the media, schools and reading books. It is always easy to blame the Israelis... especially when you are in NY
21. #9: BDS seeks Israel's destruction
Isaac G ,   Israel   (06.10.13)
Your explanation of what BDS wants is either naive or deliberate disinformation. One BDS leader after another has made it clear that their goal is undermine Israel's existence as a Jewish and democratic state. They seek the end of Israel, which is equal to denying the Jewish people their inalienable right to national self-determination. Or, to disempower the Jews to being a powerless minority everywhere as we were before the Holocaust. That is anti-Jewish in effect if not intent.
22. #14: Monitor, don't Restrict
Isaac G ,   Israel   (06.10.13)
The Israeli public has the right to know from where these (and all) NGOs receive their funding,e specially if the funding is from foreign governments. Just like in the US, anybody who receives funds from a foreign government must register as a foreign agent. But, don't restrict NGO activities based on political philosophy, that undermines democracy and once that is done, all citizens are vulnerable to the whims of the state.
