1.  Why not? As long you don't ...
ORA ,   JERUSALEM   (06.16.13)
introduce Shabat for Yoga. A student asks his Rabbi if he is allowed to smoke a cigaret while studying Tora. The rabbi answers, no. Next day, another student asks if he is allowed to study Tora, while smoking a cigaret, the rabbi says Yes. Why,this time,Yes? The difference lies in the priorities. Remember,Tora is top priority...for the survival of the Jewish people..
2. My Yoga day is together with my Shabbat, on Wednesday.
Michael ,   California, USA   (06.16.13)
If Wednesday was named Shabbat and vice versa, it wouldn't make any difference. It could still be a day of rest and time for a cup of chicken soup cooked by secular grandmother. Time to end this shabbat nonsense which has been going on for millenniums without a benefit to anybody.
3. Yoga is evil. It is an Eastern religion that starts off by
Rivkah   (06.16.13)
requiring people to say they own their own bodies and they are their own master. That is blasphemous. The Creator of the Universe YHWH-Yehoshua is the Master of His elect and the owner of their bodies.
4. thank you Rivkah!
orli naaman ,   Jerusalem Israel   (06.16.13)
I appreciate you calling it what it is!

First of all, Yoga is not a religion. It is a way of life to attain permanent peace of mind. Even, if it were a religion, you have got no rights to say other religion/practice as evil. In a civilized world, try to behave as civil person. Of course you have got freedom of expression. But, do try to respect others, people will reciprocate that gesture. And, by the way, by looking at your comments, I am sorry to say that, there seems to a very thin line of difference between an orthodox mullah and your personal belief.
6. #3 and #4-- total nonsense
pinchas ,   boston   (06.18.13)
representing the ridiculous reaction of highly insecure Orthodox women who obviously know very little about yoga. Yes, there are some aspects of yoga and some yogis who are cultic and "idolatrous"-- but many others are not. Then too there are a number of bearded kosher rabbis who are cultic and idolatrous....
