protests were going on only 27% has smartphones. Today 55% have smartphones...yes the country is certainly becoming poorer and poorer. Ok ..so what other BS do the social protestors want to sell me today?

Ask any teacher in Israel what THEY think about students with smartphones! These phones are the greatest single source of indiscipline and bad behaviour in schools. Their very existence leads to daily - even hourly - confrontation with teachers attempting to teach against a background of constant Facebook surfing and game playing. As a teacher, I experience this phenomenon all the time. I battle against the problem constantly, with no support ,either from the school OR the Education ministry. Smartphones are a DISASTER for education and are turning our young people into zombies who are rapidly losing the power of personal social interaction, social skills and simple good manners and respect.

Smartphones are disaster only for existing Israel education, which is disaster by itself. Current system is not teach anything useful but bare enough literacy. Enforced education can only be effective if there are means of enforcement, and current system completely lack those means. Voluntary education system based on online learning, gamification and peer pressure require reeducation of teachers first hand. Most of existing teachers barely understand what they teach if it related to useful subjects like math.
