90 000 killed is OK, but 150 to nerve gas crosses international norms......
2. Well, that pic doesn't look like it was staged...
Remp Tokbee ,   Portamalumo, AQ   (06.14.13)
LOL!
3. Blah Blah Blah ...
Mike ,   NZ   (06.14.13)
Dont worry ... be happy Bashar !! You have so many more innocents to kill and so little time. in the meantime the U.S. will set another red line for you to aspire to while Russia watches your back, and the UN counts the bodies !!! Am I missing something here ??
4. What a load of BS Syria hasnt used...
Chris.B ,   Australia   (06.14.13)
CW's against the foreign backed jihadis. When reports came through from the U.N that the imported terrorist had used CW's it was hushed up by the U.S administration. If Israel is worried about its security it should lobby America to not arm the crazed Jihadis.

More fighting to a region will not help the people. It will not help anyone.
6. Does it really matter?
Cameron ,   USA   (06.14.13)
Of little consequence whether Syrians kick over from chemical gas attack, AK fire, or artillery & mortar barrage.
7. Ya, Obama just found out :/
Israel Watchdog ,   Akko, Israel   (06.14.13)
Good excuse
8. Assad regime cannot be allowed to survive
Cipora Julianna KOhn   (06.14.13)
the use of chemical weapons by the assad regime is a clear violation of international norms and is indicative of a regime that is willing to cross all lines in its aim to defeat the opposition. however, just as importantly, it must be emphasized that the genocidal sectarian war in syria gave an opportunity to the terror regime of iran to station irgc troops in syria and to take an active part in assisting assad in murdering the civilian population. it must be remembered that iran is developing nuclear weapons. it must also be remembered that iran has set up terror cells throughout europe and south america. those who have claimed that the shia terror entity is ruled by rational actors must look at this picture and admit that they were highly mistaken. indeed, the shia terror regime is following a path of world wide hegemony with the aid of its terror proxy hezbollah and is building nuclear bombs to deter those who would stop this psychopathic terror regime in its path to use nuclear weapons as a means to terrorise the world. most unfortunately, russia has decided to side with these terror regimes. russia has thereby put itself outside the comity of nations.
9. US torpedoed peace conference.
Miron ,   USA   (06.14.13)
Fuhrers always start from dram rolls and successess. But history had proven they, and more horribly, is what awaits nations who foolishly followed malevolent leaders of past. History makes no mistakes. Unfortunately we failed to learn our lessons.
10. 80,000 dead: no red line?
Vered, Israel   (06.14.13)
But 150 ded from chemical weapons - now THAT'S a red line. Just because something horrific is happening doesn't mean there are any good options for US intervention. We must admit that the Arabs are still in the fight-to-the-death phase of their history. Western nations went through it and until the Arabs come out of it naturally, there is nothing anybody can do.
11. Israel cluster bombs du and wp on Palestinians
lydia ,   Brisbane   (06.14.13)
Even though the UN reportage says it was the Rebels who were using Sarin Gas, Assad is singled out. The US used Chemical weapons in Vietnam and in Iraq and Israel in Lebanon and Gaza.. Israel supplies poison gas to Gaza intensive care Hospital but Lord Almighty, Assad is accused of crossing the Red Line.
12. 8 Sew the wind now reap the whirlwind
lydia ,   Brisbane   (06.14.13)
If Israel hadn't been tormenting Iran they wouldn't have had to go to such lengths to protect themselves. Israel has been in violation of more UN res. than Iran, Iraq and Libya combined and is in no position to throw stones.
13. 9
Cipora Julianna Kohn   (06.14.13)
history makes no decisions. only people make decisions. putin decided to support not only the genocidal assad, but also the terror state of iran. the terror regime in iran is not only pursuing the acquisition of nuclear weapons, but also exports terror world wide. they deny the holocaust and threaten to commit genocide on the jewish state of israel. putin's only interest is to resurrect russia as a world power without regard to cost.
14. To summarize:Islam is Islam, Arabs are Arabs,Russian will be
tom ,   tel aviv   (06.14.13)
Russian, Obama is Obama... something unclear here? Oh yes: Israelis will stay clueless, so it seems. Give us buses on Shabbat and we'll be ecstatic!
15. #11 You are partially correct in your assessment
Noodles ,   Coney Island   (06.14.13)
The rebels are much more savage than Assad and that takes some doing. Better the demon you already know (that's terrified of Israel), than the untested savages who may be a little less predictable. By the way, since when do Muslims use the term "Lord Almighty"?

Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (06.14.13)
I guess we're supposed to listen to the daily "destruction of the 'Zionist entity'" sturm und drang that emanates from Teheran on a near daily basis, and ignore it, is that what you're saying? Do you know what "existential threat" means? The United Nations charter prohibits the threatening of one sovereign state by another. Iran threatens Israel every day. Israel has an affirmative duty to protect and defend its citizens. Iran has repeatedly ignored near universal calls for it to stop its pursuit of nuclear weapons. It's refusal to do so is what has resulted in those extraordinarily painful sanctions which have been imposed against Iran. Iran is the villain, not the victim. It is Iran that has sown the wind. It is Iran that will reap the whirlwind. In this regard, the international community walks in lockstep. Iran will not be permitted to become a nuclear power. Period. Full stop. Do you get it? And if you think the cat and mouse games that Israel has been playing with Iran constitute "tormenting" -- well, chica, you ain't seen nothin' yet.

18. Better the devil you know than the one you don't!
Susie ,   Scotland   (06.14.13)
Who exactly are they Rebels? As far as I can see they eat human hearts, butcher children and women! Do we really want them on our borders?
19. To Lydia . . . .
Mike ,   NZ   (06.14.13)
Lydia . . what the hell have you been smoking, or is your head jammed in a can of Fosters !! What proof do you have that Israel supplied Gaza with poisoned gas or did you get that from the same Gazan source that claimed that Mossad had trained sea turtles and falcons to spy on that hell hole that the Arabs had made for themselves.
20. Israel reported months ago that the Syrians
A ,   Belgium   (06.14.13)
were using poison gas but no one wanted to listen. Now the Americans finally figured it out too. Oh well, I guess shooting that par 3 is more important to Oblabla than what the Syrians shoot at each other.

Same lies presented by the same liars. I bet you my shekels to your bagels this "intelligence" data was provided by Bibi & Co.
24. To: No. 23
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (06.14.13)
You're not terribly "worldly," are you? It is now common knowledge that Iraq's weapons of mass destruction were trucked over the border into Syria, where they are now up for grabs. Moreover, scientists from Israel, the United Kingdom and France have confirmed that chemical weapons have been used, both by forces loyal to Assad and by insurgents. And you know what? While Israel watches the goings-on in Syria with some concern, we're mostly interested in stopping the transfer of game-changing weapons to Syria and to Hezbollah. Those transfers have been prevented on three occasions, and Israel will continue to prevent them, even if it makes Putin angry. We're not particularly afraid of Russia. The chemical, biological and neurological weapons will not be used against Israel, because then the whole shooting match will be over and Syria and Lebanon will be turned into giant, smoking craters. Almost instantly. It's the rest of the world -- in which you proudly claim "citizenship" (!) that needs to worry about the chemical, biological and neurological weapons. The principal targets are the United States and Western Europe. They are also the softest targets. Israel -- not so much.
25. #18 The rebels, I recall, are the ones
Get Real ,   UK   (06.14.13)
who said after they have taken Damascus they will turn their attention to Jerusalem. Best option has always been for the US/West to stay out of Syria and not be accused by Arabs of interfering. Let the UN & Arab League deal with the slaughter. Israel will take care of itself when, and if, the need arises. Not much difference between the aims and methods of Hezbollah and AL-Q.
26. #24 You Mean It's Common Israeli Propaganda.....
World Citizen ,   the world   (06.14.13)
"That Iraq's weapons of mass destruction were trucked over the border into Syria,....." That's one the Jewish neo-cons and you Israeli firster's most oft repeated lies. Another is that Iran will have nuclear weapons next year. Israeli leaders have been repeating that lie for about 15 years now. The facts are that Israel wants the USA go to war again, with Hezbollah or Assad or Iran. And Bibi will tell any lie and make any veiled threat to get Obama to jump right into a fire of Israel's making.

Honey bunny, you are free to believe whatever you like. All I can say is -- have you been injected against smallpox? If not, you're about to get a whole lot uglier than you probably already are. Horrible death, actually, but you deserve no less. You're way too stupid to remain in the gene pool. If you're lucky, sarin or ricin or anthrax will take you out first. Pray for that -- smallpox is not a joke. Fortunately -- the only country in the world that has NEVER stopped inoculating against smallpox is -- yeah, you guessed it! -- ISRAEL. What a pity that you don't live there, eh, Citizen of the "World?" Stock up on some barbiturates. It's probably a far more merciful end.

Fore! (Five .... Six ....)
29. Actually it was Colin Powell and W. Bush who
A ,   Belgium   (06.15.13)
started the lie about WMD's in Iraq. Powell even showed "photos" proclaiming them to be weapons factories.I bet my euros to your shekels that the person you should be pointing your finger at about spreading lies is that hideous reflection you see in the mirror.
