the will of the iranian people cannot be heard. the iranian people are ruled by a totalitarian regime, whose head is the grand ayatollah khamenei and his islamic revolutionary guards. all candidates for the presidency of iran were selected by the grand ayatollah khamenei. Khamenei had selected six candidates of whom one was elected. calling this the "will of the iranian people" is either naivte or propaganda.

i seriously suspect that the selection of rohwani was agreed upon by both obama and khamenei. this way, khamenei can claim that he is a moderate, and obama can claim that he has a negotiating partner.

Rouhani is the head if strategic research and national security of Iran. HE is responsible for negotiations with the EU and everyone else reading Iran's nuclear program. Nothing to celebrate this man is a wolf in sheep's clothing.
