Ahmadinejad is in power until early August. Could be a hot summer/winter.
2. Ayatollah calls the shots.
Dror ,   Haifa, Israel   (06.16.13)
Bibi, who calls the shots for you?? Is it Obama? Is it the Rothschilds? Is it the Bildebergers? Or is it all of them?
3. Potential opportunity for middle eastern region.
David Clarke ,   Liverpool, England   (06.16.13)
Instead of disdaining and scorning the Iranians for the election it should be taken at face value, the fact is Iran and Israel both feel mutually threatened by each other and both fear the possibility of a devastating and pointless war with each other that would lead to pointless carnage and bloodshed. The election of Hassan Rouhani of Iran's Liberal and reformist movement should provide Israel with an opportunity. Rouhani has already declared that he is prepared to initiate detente with the west and is prepared to try and prove that Iran's Nuclear program is peaceful and civilian orientated in order to lift the crippling sanctions affecting his country's economy. A peaceful nuclear program is permitted under international law, the challenge for Israel is not to make Iran end its program but to compromise for the sake of peace and allow Iran time to prove it to the world that it is peaceful and allow for the possible lifting of sanctions, if this compromise is made Iran may be prepared to ratchet down the threatening rhetoric on Israel and both sides can go back to a state of peaceful mutual ignorance and loathing of each others regime, a situation that is best for all concerned.
4. BiBi: "We do not delude ourselves"
CJK   (06.16.13)
no, we do not, but the titular leader of the free world is a champion in self delusion, as are his western allies. he thinks that the selection of the candidates by khamenei which subsequently led to the election of one of them to the presidency is an expression of the "will of the people." then one must not forget that famous incident where a us uav was downed over iran and obama came out and begged iran to please return his uav. khamenei is still laughing.
5. The real power is Ayatollah Khamenei. Everone else Bow Down!
Dee Bee ,   Israel   (06.16.13)
Maybe Ayatollah Khamenei should put is funny hat/turban on a stick so that all and sundry will down down to it. Khamenei says Sh*t and the whole country squats ans strains. What a stink! Remember Haman, Queen Esther and Mordechai? Well, the Ayatollah might be Haman but Bibi is no Mordechai and Ashton of the EU is no Queen Esther! The proof of the pudding will be at the G8 when Putin will tell Obama, Cameron and the rest of the European clowns to shut up over Syria. Then we'll see whose got the gonads. My money is on Tzar Putin!
6. shush bibi, the people have spoken.
iranica ,   istanbul   (06.16.13)
Ruhani won 50.7% of the vote, the Iranian nation won 100% of the vote. Even the US said it will, for the first time, respect the will of the people. Ruhani's stance on nuclear energy is clear: It is Iran's right. Its time to open your eyes bibi.
7. #2
simon marriott ,   israel/haifa   (06.16.13)
Come on Dror we all know it's little (well not so little, actually) Sarahli who calls the shots in the Bibi household and behind the scenes in the Knesset. BibI wouldn't have a clue what to do without his clueless, shopping mad(with our money) wife
8. Netanyahu's big problem
Sarah B ,   Tel Aviv/London   (06.16.13)
is that he wants Iran to have no nuclear programme at all whilst the rest of Planet Earth has no objections to a peaceful civilian nuclear programme to provide electricity. And essentially without the international community being onboard Netanyahu is powerless
9. Netanyahu wants a complete halt
Sarah B ,   Tel Aviv/London   (06.16.13)
to Iran's nuclear ambitions. The rest of Planet Earth merely want Iran to abide to the NPT, there will not be a military solution and eventually the rising cost of oil will mean Iranian oil going back on sale. Netanyahu needs to stop lying to the Israeli people and start solving domestic problems rather than create problems which don't exist, oh and understand that Israel will be withdrawing behind the greenline of 1967 with some tweaks sooner rather than later
10. Fake Sarah B.
Dror ,   Haifa, Israel   (06.16.13)
Nice try, fake Sarah B. If anyone will do any withdrawing it will be the fake nation known as the palestinian arabs occupying Jewish Lands illegally. Enjoy London fake Sarah B. I hope the city burns down around your feet...
11. #9 Sarah B Tel Aviv/?: Fear tactics and security issues.
Dee Bee ,   Israel   (06.16.13)
This is the way Israel works and has been the way since 15 May, 1948. Indeed, Israel is in danger and has always been in danger but the danger has changed. Iran is dangerous be no more that the division of this country by hatred, religious coercion, intolerance by both left and right and the worst enemy, apathy! The greatest danger is the one Palestinian one. Greater Israel and the "One State" idea is the solution proposed my Deputy Minister Danon and MK Hatubeli. So we bring in our country millions of Arabs from the now unified Greater Israel, now citizens and they join up with our Israeli Arab citizens and now we have no majority Jewish State! Isn't that the most dangerous scenario?
12. May even be a ruse...
Raoul ,   Herzliya. Israel   (06.16.13)
to have a "moderate" so that they can "peacefully" get on with their nuke program.
13. Look for the EU to argue for
DT ,   TA Israel   (06.16.13)
the lifting of sanctions so the EU's enemy (Israel) can be again threatened. The EU is as big an enemy as Iran and they can't even agree that Hezbollah is a terrorist organization.
14. #12 You do know don't you
Sarah B ,   Tel Aviv/London   (06.16.13)
that despite the protestations of Netanyahu otherwise, nobody has found any evidence that Iran is trying to gain parity with Israel don't you? Netanyahu is using the Iranian nuclear programme to avoid having to acede to the two state solution that the international community demands. Helps keep the population of Israel quiet as well if he can scare them with thoughts of another holocaust
15. #2 Dror, first we have to figure out who's calling the shots
Noodles ,   Coney Island   (06.16.13)
for Obama, and then take it from there.
16. Jewish Majority
Dror ,   Haifa, Israel   (06.16.13)
No Need to worry about the palis. Once the global economic meltdown begins, many Jews that are sitting on the fence will be forcibly pushed to the Israeli side, they will have no other choice and no other place to go.. Stupid they are, but they are still OUR JEWS. No need to worry about demographics. Soon Israel will excrete the excriment called the palis from our land.
17. king castle move!
Yoc ,   Manhattan   (06.16.13)
Iran masters of deception & deceit skillfully masquerade their intentions. Wait a minute........If we live in a perfect world and over night the head of the snake it's now a peaceful butterfly?
18. Fake Sarah B. in London
Dror ,   Haifa, Israel   (06.16.13)
Even without the Iranian threat a majority of Israelis will not support a withdrawal to the 67 'Auschwitz borders. You may pretend to have the best solutions for peace for us in our homeland, but we remember what kind of solutions you Europeans conjured up for us in the past. keep your solutions for yourself, and once again I wish you a pleasant time for when London burns down around your feet. Multi culti PC kaka country that you have turned into, you make me sick.
19. #18 Dror
Sarah B ,   Tel Aviv/London   (06.16.13)
Israel will withdraw behind the greenline of 1967, and this will happen sooner rather than later. The UN is already beginning to recognise Palestine, you will either accept the Palestinians as equal citizens, or you will accept a two state solution. Calling me names will not change that
20. #8 Sarah B Tel Aviv & London? : Stay
Jak Bak ,   TA Israel   (06.16.13)
in London it will suit you there in "Englandistan"- and in a Burka
21. #18 Sarah B the second
DavidR ,   USA   (06.16.13)
You said, "Israel will withdraw behind the green line of 1967..." Israel will NOT withdraw but I believe they will be forced back behind the so called green line. I believe this because both prophets Yoel and Zechariah said it would happen. But, take no joy in this Sarah because that will be the very act that will bring on the destruction of the nations that came against Israel. It is obvious from your posts that you have no faith or Biblical knowledge but you and billions of other blind servants of satan will soon learn. So, go on worshiping your god that you call UN. They are only the ax in His Hand.
22. #20 Jak
Sarah B ,   Tel Aviv/London   (06.16.13)
Really? The total of Muslims in the United Kingdom is 3% in Israel it is 20%. You may believe your own propaganda with regards to England but it does not detract from the position of the UK government and the EU for that matter that there should be a 2 state solution. Israel could of course give all civilians in the area it controls equal rights and opt for a one state solution to counter this. Either way the occupation of Palestine will end, one way or the other, and the settlers cushy lifestyle will be over. 6 million Israelis future should not be decided by 350,000 settlers living the life of riley on normal decent Israelis taxes.
23. Fake Sarah B.
Dror ,   Haifa, Israel   (06.16.13)
We will see about that Fake Sarah B. Your precious UN will cease to exist before we leave our ancient homeland. You want to make command statements? Fine. I get my turn now. Listen to this command statement. You will be going totally bankrupt soon. You will have a Muslim uprising in your country that will result in the destruction of your country. You will be on your knees praying to the ONE GOD OF ISRAEL to forgive you. You will swallow your words. Now it is your turn..

25. #8 Iran has electricity
Cynthia ,   USA   (06.16.13)
And the billions spent on this nuclear program could have put nuclear medicine units in every Iranian hospital. The international community understands Iran's nuclear program is anything but peaceful and not long ago Iran threatened to send suicide bombers to Europe so you cannot afford to be so naive. Hiding under your blankie and pretending this is only Israel's problem will not help you.
26. Hmmm
Roman   (06.16.13)
Actually they thought we are deluded.
27. Iran's nuclear program is open and legal because...
Persian CAT   (06.16.13)
it is under the IAEA constant monitoring regime. Are Israel's nukes under such monitoring by the international body? No, therefore it is a source of instability and threat in the ME. Iran's national interests require to be prepared to counter such a threat by the rabid, irrational rulers of Zionistan, period. Iran has the right to defend itself against its Zionist/Western enemies.
28. #4. If you think the inept and corrupt Natanyahu is not...
Persian CAT   (06.16.13)
delusional, and panic stricken, then you are dumber than a door knob. Obama know Iran can help the US in Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria and the whole of the ME. What can Israel do to help the US, other than creating more enemies of the US, endangering the US national interests in the region, and SPY on the US, while taking money out of the hapless US tax payers for to boost the Apartheid regime?!
29. David Clark, you're point would be valid, if...
Persian CAT   (06.16.13)
Israeli leaders were rational. Natanyahu's only method to deflect from his ineptitude and corruption is to scare the hysterical Israeli population even more, by mentioning Iran's NON-EXISTING nukes! On your point about Rohani's declared willingness to have detente with the "West", that is precisely what the rulers of Zionistan are afraid of. They are worried once Iran and the West start dealing with each other, Israel will be left out in the cold to defend its destructive policies of occupation and Apartheid. Israel is NOT part of the West despite that illusion, nor does it want to be part of the "East", because it knows it is not accepted for being such a negative force for peace and stability. It is precisely this LONELINESS that makes the Israeli "leaders" to be constantly lying, deceiving and deflecting from their own terrorism, corruption, ineptitude, and Apartheid. In other worlds, they are lonely.
30. 12, it definitely is a ruze
Cipora Julianna Kohn   (06.16.13)
the selection of rowhani by the supreme leader khamenei had for purpose the appeasement of the cowards in europe and of the fake titular leader of the free world.
