1. Lovely, and we need to make peace with these animals
Dror ,   Haifa, Israel   (06.19.13)
The only way we can keep from being bothered by them is by making sure they understand that we can totally annihilate and decimate them at a moments notice. There is not going to be peace with them until their blood lust is quenched. Very much like the Nazis in WWII, except they should spill each others blood like dogs instead of eying us. We are not going to be anyone's sacrificial lamb. We played that role for too long.
2. possible but unlikely

It is certainly not beyond Hezbollah to use chemical weapons against the rebels, Israel or anybody else but in this case the timing is just to convenient. There has been the G8 summit where they discussed the Syrian conflict and everybody knows now that chemical weapons have been used before. The rebels want American airstrikes to destroy Assad for them and they will probably keep pushing for it until it happens If they can't get the airstrikes yet then the very least they want is enough hi-tec weapons to equip a whole army so push the chemical weapons issue as much as they can until they create enough sympathy in the west so they can demand anything they like and get it.
3. What about the n.koreans Fighting For The Butcher

6. Nice try rebels
Leon ,   Algonquin Land   (06.20.13)
Hezbollah doesn't need chemical weapons. They demonstrated that in Qusayr. The Israelis found that out when they were bloodied on the ground in 2006.
7. The word chemical may induce mass...

hysteria in the western public but in reality conventional weapons are more deadly ,accurate and easier to use. Assad and hezbollah dont need them.
8. #7 So why do they use them?
Ted ,   US   (06.20.13)
The dead bodies are piling up. Guess Assad and Hezbollah want to save money by killing masses of Arabs without having to purchase arms.
9. Clearly, the civilized world has given up on Syria. But, if
Jehudah Ben-Israel ,   Qatzrin, Israel   (06.20.13)
Israel acted in its own self-defense, there is little doubt the very same people who allow Muslim-Arabs to be slaughtered by fellow Muslim-Arabs will accuse Israel of aggression and "dis-proportional" reaction. This is the face of world cynicism when it comes to respecting the first of all of human rights when it comes to the Jews: the right to life and life's defense.

First it was Assad who was supposedly murdering his people with chemical weapons. Then the rebels were accused of using chemical weapons and now it is the Hizaballah who are supposedly using chemical weapons. Is it really so difficult to prove that chemical weapons are being used??? The fact of the matter is that more than 90,000 people have been murdered since the fighting began 2 years ago and the whole world has remained silent. Does it really make any difference how these victims have died??? Hasn't the world learned what the consequences are when good people do nothing against evil??? The time has arrived for the good people of the world to rise up and do something to put an end to this ongoing tragedy which the world has been witness to. Good intentions are worthless if they are not backed up by action.

whoever is the clear victor in this conflict will pose significant additional security problems for Israel, so let's hope that this conflict drags on & as many Hezbollocks and Al Quada affiliates are killed as is humanly possible before the UN get their arses in gear and rush the peacekeeping forces in.

The alleged use of nerve gas in Syria is a revolution in warfare. Instead of massive amounts to kill large numbers of enemy or to deny access to an area, we see tactical use of miniscule amounts of nerve gas against localized targets. Hezbollah, Assad and Iran don't need gas against the rebels, but what they learned from Iraq and Afghanistan is that they need some way to overcome the ceramic armor that makes US and UK troops almost invulnerable. The only two candidates they have are thermobaric weapons and, now, tactical nerve gas. Now you know why Putin looked so glum after he met Obama in Ireland: this war is going to get a lot worse.
