Escape from a safe house, which of the two is it ,plain incompetence or paid to look the other way.
2. If he could elude the police to escape

the police must have been incompetent and those looking for him could have gotten in, too. If this is their level of security, remind me to never turn state witness.

If we list all the last few months Israeli Police behaviour, there is no doubt that they do deserve such designation, that we thought to be ephemeral. Here there is proof that such a country of great learning and efficiency has became laughing stock of its own citizens. But, there are layers of undetected 'connivances', that one should look for. The cultural environement and the laisser faire attitude of most Israel institution that deal with Justice: Is there really a justice for all, or because it is politicaly (socially one might add) correct to give different treatment ot different segment of the population. That attitutde might fire back and this case will be the seminal for an abjection towards the Institution including Media, from all the citizenry, whithout any exception. Cops or Kops are they for real?!

The more one revisites the political-social "war of religion" that was palpable in the past almost 4 years, since the Barnoa case, one cannot help but understand that the State Witness will be a potential embarrasement for number of Israel Institutions The media being encouraged by the Activist machinations: apportioning and directing the blame towards the religious fanatics who 'seemingly' have the most inspired intent to kill the people at the Barnoa club. And here is the cycical conclusion that Yesh Atid has benefited from the rumors of religious 'guilt' for the horrible murders. No one, and especially the Police and the Media would want to revisite the past 4years and display Mea Gulpa in public. It is a Real Seminal Case, thus better (as the Article insinuate-encourage the wittness) let him disappear from the clouds of Israel. Bad ecosystem for all concerned.....
