they were defeated in iraq, and they will be defeated in syria. if they attempt to impose their murderous medieval ideology on the syrian people, the people will defeat them just as the people of Iraq defeated the jihadists in their midst. the syrian people want peace, prosperity, freedom and moderation. they do not want to replace one tyranny by another tyranny.

I am not particularly fond of Bashar Al-Assad's regime, but to give him credit when credit is due, he is a secular fascist. Should FSA prevail, he will be replaced with a religious fascist regime, basically a Sunni version of Iran. May be I don't understand something, but I don't see this as a positive change.
