As for other comments on different posts, plus Twitter and Facebook, your naivety would be reduced if you saw the hate-filled spew of anti-Israel/ anti-Semitic comments. As you are American, how would you or the populous as a whole feel that a story broke in the US media that a pro-Boston bomber, anti-US person who Chechen Idol. Would you care? Would you think that it were a story that should carry column inches in your press? Think about it.

When winning a talent contest is the most you have to boast about then you know you have problems. In 1917 arabs could have been boasting about an arab state with a Jewish minority but they rejected Balfour. In 1947 they could have proudly announced to the world they had a state based in 45% of mandate Palestine + Jaffa and no refugee issue. They rejected it, 65 years later they have no state and the state we are talking about giving them is just the remaining 22% of Palestine not captured by Israel in the war of independence and there is no right of return. In 1999 could have come home from Camp David boasting about the great deal he had negotiated, been 14 years since then and oslo is dead & the PA broke. In 2005 Israel left Gaza, interntional charities bought the greenhouses belonging to the settler for arabs to use and everybody was thinking now the settlers and soldiers are gone they could create a mini version of a palestinian state existing peacefully with Israel. Instead the arab proudly destryed the greenhouses and decided they wanted to compete with NASA on who could launch the most rockets. Today they are in poverty, no state and so all they can boast about is one of them won a talent contest. Who knows they might even to decide to proudly execute the winner of the contest as a punishment for entering.
