1. Likud officials laid the blame..
dr harry ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (06.25.13)
on Levin, but in reality, it is they who have lost their grip on everything. Likud is not the same Likud. They have attached themselves to the path of self destruction. Everyday brings another on another nail.
2. REALITY!!!!
dr harry ,   Jersalem, Israel   (06.25.13)
This is whats happens when there is and never was a understanding and firm stance of who we really are and our purpose in life, as Jews, in the Land of Israel. This erosion will only bring one thing. The decay has begun. Another nail.
3. Didn't Rachel Corrie try that?
BUILD BABY BUILD!!!! ,   United States   (06.25.13)
this guy's a lunatic. They'll move the Jews did so will they. Lose the arab MK member he's an enemy of the state. KEEP BUILDING !!!!!
4. The Land of Israel belongs to the Jewish People
jan ,   jerusalem, israel   (06.25.13)
If the non-jews don't move out peaceably, and in essence say-over my dead body-then let it be-mow them down-and of course - do not compensate them one bit! As a matter of fact, send their families bills for our having to pay workers over-time to re-take our land!
5. Bedouin bill
Yakov   (06.25.13)
I am for this bil because of some very practrical considerations. Firstly, where does the government deliver its services when the "towns" the Bedouin lives in shift from season to season? Things like teudat, the mail, even things like the kupot cholim. Without a regular place where these services can be delivered, they cannot hope to get services. The would integrate them enough to get services and pay taxes. They can still move from place to place if they like, but they need to have an address as a point of contact with Israel
6. #4 Agreed
Alex ,   Israeli Jerusalem   (06.25.13)
Amen
7. Tibi on Bedouin
Nili ,   Jerusalem   (06.25.13)
They built illegally in the first place, and do not own the land! What Chutzpah! It seems it is OK for Jews to be dragged from their homes over and over again, but illegal Arabs are not? Get A Spine Bibi and ship them all to Jordan!!
8. Insanity
Mike Carmel ,   Rishon le Zion   (06.25.13)
Doesn't this stupid government have enough on its hands with Iran, Syria, Hezbollah, Hamas, Palestinians etc. Now it wants to pick a fight with the BEDOUIN CITIZENS of this state? Are they all mad? And all for a few isolated plots of sand and dust where no one wants to live anyway?
9. jewish state must be in charge not arab politicians.

10. Numbers 4 and 6
Mike Carmel ,   Rishon le Zion   (06.25.13)
You guys are way out of order. The bedouin were here LONG before you two showed up. If those dustplots are so important to you, why don't YOU go live there eh?
11. Shove your Arab violence where the sun don't shine..........
Ron ,   Israel   (06.25.13)
Nobody listens to you anymore. Your blackmail and terror threats won't work.
12. To nr 10 Mike you are dead wrong
Alexander ,   Tel Aviv, Israel   (06.25.13)
"Way out of order?" Have you ever heard of freedom of speech and democracy? Who appointed you the censor? The Bedouins did not live here way before the Jews. It is the other way round: it is the Jews that lived here way before the Bedouins. It helps to study history you know. Jews have lived in Israel for at least 3000 years, some sources say even 3500-4000 years. That's not an opinion Mike. That's a very hard and concrete fact supported by history and historical records. The first Arab contact with Israel took place in 636 AD when the Arabs left the Arabian peninsula - the homeland of the Bedouins, Arabs and Moslems, and invaded Israel under the leadership of Sharif Omar. By the time the first Arabs entered Israel in 636 AD, the Jews/Israelites had already lived in Israel for 2600 years. How exactly can the Bedouins be the "natives"? You clearly know neither history nor mathematics. Jews have lived in Israel LONGER and WAY BEFORE the Bedouins, Arabs and Moslems. Jews have lived way longer in Arab countries than Arabs themselves. Jews have lived longer on the Arabian peninsula and practiced Judaism BEFORE Islam even existed and BEFORE Arabs were even a self aware cultural group. You can't argue with facts. If you do - you have an agenda. Can we Jews claim these lands as well? I would love to read your answer. MOST of the Arabs of Israel, Jerusalem, Gaza, Judea, Samaria and Golan arrived in Israel between the 1880s and the 1940s - and unlike the RETURNING exiled Jewish population, the Arabs had NO previous history in Israel. Even if we pretend that some Bedouin families have lived here for a few centuries, that still doesn't make the land theirs since they are no natives and non Jews are foreigners in Israel. The English are foreigners in Ireland and have lived in Ireland for centuries, but that doesn't make Ireland English. Ireland is Irish and Israel is Israeli/Jewish. If you don't recognize that Jews are the historical population of Israel, what are you doing here then? The rest of Israel is as Israeli/Jewish as Rishon le Zion. Israel has to fight outer and inner enemies and that includes leftist self hating Jewish traitors and Arabs who are hellbent on destroying my country. I also suggest you get yourself an education - and a brain as well. Barking and pointing fingers while making a fool of yourself won't make you sound too convincing.
13. For shame ynet!
A Jerusalemite ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (06.25.13)
"...says recalcitrant Arab MK..." recalcitrant ?!? What is this? It this a news item or an Op-Ed???? Talk about yellow journalism - this is a classic example.
14. This is typically Arab
Yael Schlichting ,   currently Munich   (06.25.13)
Of course I am against violence, but I fear violence could erupt. Ahmad Tibi, you are a shame!
15. its a practical bill
zionist forever   (06.25.13)
We live in the 21st century now and the Bedouin have to accept things change and the government needs their land and intends to compensate them financially. If the government wants to build a road and in order to build that road they need to pull down my home then they will force me to sell to them so they can pull it down and build their road. If we want to start living outside the centre of the country the Bedouin will have to make sacrifices in exchange for financial compensation. There is also the simple fact that this bill was proposed and passed by an elected government and when we elect governments we give them a mandate to make policies like this.
16. Recognize this?
A Jerusalemite ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (06.25.13)
"THE STATE OF ISRAEL will be open for Jewish immigration and for the Ingathering of the Exiles; it will foster the development of the country for the benefit of **all** its inhabitants; it will be based on freedom, justice and peace as envisaged by the prophets of Israel; it will **ensure complete equality** of **social and political rights** to **all** its inhabitants **irrespective of religion, race or sex **; it will guarantee **freedom of** religion, conscience, language, education **and culture** ; it will safeguard the Holy Places of all religions; and it will be faithful to the principles of the Charter of the United Nations. " Declaration Of Independence of the State of Israel 6th Iyar, 5708 (15th May, 1948)
17. Alexander
Mike Carmel ,   Rishon le Zion   (06.25.13)
Alexander, your impressive historical lecture is somewhat irrelevant to my point. I wasn't saying that Bedouins came here before Jews or vice versa. I was referring to the talkbackers themselves, not all the Jewish inhabitants of the Negev. Thank you for your observation that I should get myself a brain. Actually I already have one but I use it in a different way to people like yourself. I prefer to see the wider picture, and not just the Jewish aspect which I regard as somewhat obsessional. And if that makes me a "traitor" (your word) then so be it. I really don't care what you think about me. I'm not going to waste my energy on trying to convince you or your friends. I am also entitled to my opinion, whather you agree with that or not. You know what that's called Alexander? DEMOCRACY. And those Bedouin can vote too because they're citizens. How do you sleep at night with that thought eh?

Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (06.26.13)
Remember what happened the day after? Did not five Arab armies attack the nascent State of Israel? They weren't paying attention, I guess. The Arabs have not been paying attention for over seven decades. Why should I pay attention to their plaintive bleats now? Have not enough Jews died? The Arabs can go to hell; I'm sick of them.

Democracies are not devoid of rules. Israel has every right to put an end to those ramshackle eyesores that the Bedouins call "home." They will have to learn how to live within Israel's restrictions. The Bedouin structures -- which they share with their livestock -- present health hazards. The Bedouin tap into national electrical, gas and water carriers. That, too, is a serious hazard. You are, of course, entitled to your opinion. Israel, too, is entitled to protect and defend its property and impose certain basic health and property use laws. If the Bedouin do not like it, they are free to pack up their tents and leave. I, for one, do not find them "colorful" additions to the Israeli mosaic. I find them to be exactly what they are -- the principal antagonists in any number of criminal syndicates, drug smugglers, thieves (electricity, gas, water) and people who do not care about the health or safety of others. Normal people, Mike, no matter how democratic, do not share their homes with flea and tick-bearing livestock. Sorry. That has to come to an end.
