just imagine what it would do for the israeli psyche to let 10,000 children from syria up to the age of 12 join israeli families who have a child of the same sex and age as their syrian counterpart and this either for a month or two this summer? the goodwill and friendship experienced by those children will never ever be forgotten, neither by the syrian or israeli child blessed with such an opportunity ! this is not for hashbara or for the bds haters, this is for us to be blessed to feel what beiing jewish is all about and for syrian children to know that the world has not abandoned them !!!!

I'm not at all a fan of Israel or its government's actions, but politics aside, these acts of humanity give me great respect for Israelis. Some might say its a kind of propaganda and way of deflecting attention from its treatment of the Palestinians but then again even if it was...I think any good deed, no matter the intention is still an act of humanity and a sign that whatever we believe or think of each other, we are capable of showing at least a fraction of love and respect to one another. Even if it was for good publicity, at least its helping normal every day people and in any case, our Arab countries would shamefully never treat an Israeli, not even for good publicity.
