1. if Kerry really cared about time
Alan Eigenstein ,   Edgewater, NJ   (06.28.13)
He'd have Netanyahu lay out Israel's building plan monthly for the next 12 months. Each month would be 50% greater number of units than the month before. Present the plan to Abbas making clear that only Abbas negotiating seriously will stop the building plan. No stop to building until Abbas talks peace. Otherwise Abbas has everything to gain (theft of PA funds) and nothing to lose by delaying coming to the table. And that is exactly why there has been no progress for the past eight years.
2. Peace plan
Elygoldart ,   Minneapolis MN   (06.28.13)
I guess the world will never learn that all the Palestinians want is the destruction of Israel. The only want what Israel has & they will never get it. Keep building in Yehudah Veshomron. it is your right.
3. PM vs Kerry
Brod ,   USA   (06.28.13)
The PM should say NO to Hussien the Islamist trying to steal the Land of Israel in broad daylight. He manipulates Kerry to do his dirty work. Israel should say NO to the Hitlerite forces of the world and should start defending the Land of Israel that GOD gave and restored to the Children of Israel.
4.  We, Jews, have been eager all along to achieve an...
Jehudah Ben-Israel ,   Qatzrin, Israel   (06.28.13)
...accommodation of peaceful coexistence between Arab and Jew, between the Muslim-Arab world and the liberal democratic and sovereign nation-state of the Jewish people, Israel. The mechanism to doing so has been available to the parties since November 1967 when the UN Security Council passed, unanimously, its 242 resolution. And, indeed, 242 has since served as the only constant basis for all talks and agreements to date. 242, let us note, doesn't call upon the parties to set up an additional state between the Jordan River and the Med. Sea. The reason: This would contradict previous fundamental elements of international law related to the Arab Israeli conflict, including the San Remo conference, 1920; the League of Nations decisions, 1922; and the UN Charter, article 80, 1945. Indeed, 242 doesn't even make use of concepts/phrases such as "Palestine", "Palestinians", "Palestinian territories" or, "Palestinian state". These concepts have been put forth strictly for political expediency and have no basis in law. We ought to demand that peace talks commence: direct talks, without preconditions and the on strict basis of UN Security Council Resolution, 242, 1967.
5. Demilitirized with Security Land Exchanges
Zechariah   (06.28.13)
A Demilitirizednon Belligerant Palestinian State in the Areas Islamic Arabs live now from the sea to the River There are Six Million Palestinians and Six Million Jews a Equal Defacto Internationalist State but the Jews control Stringently Security and Immigration because the Jews are in the Minority in the area and Islam Sringently Limited Jewish Escape from the Shoah as did Britain and her Dominions and the USA.Also Turkey was close but as in the Struma Catostrophe didn't give Refuge to The People of the Book .Mohammed saved the Daughter of his Enemy .
6. Moving to the Left
Ellen ,   Israel/NYC   (06.28.13)
It has been obvious for sometime that he is moving to the left and has been for years. He moved when he turned places like Hebron over to the Arabs. He moved when he added Livni FIRST to his new government. Why is this a surprise to anyone? the bigger surprise will be if people are able to successfully stop him and save Israel from herself!

8. Mobilize vast patriotic majority to save Israel.
Chaim ,   Israel   (06.28.13)
Oslo cost Israel well over 1,000 murdered and over 14,000 maimed civilians. Peres and Labor must be held accountable for their gross criminal negligence which caused the incalculable suffering to innocent Israelis. However, Bibi appears willing to travel this lunatic path again. We must NEVER allow this to happen. It is time to mobilize the vast patriotic majority to save Israel. No more Oslos. No more rubbish. This land is ours. Period!
9. Read the article Chaim
JGad ,   Israel   (06.28.13)
It says very clear that Netanyahu is moving himself to a more centrist politicsl posicion...( pobably with Lapid influence) why? Because in September the UN is expected to aprove a declaration of independence for Palestinians of the west bank. So Palestinians will have an act of independence for them and like Israelis the act of independence will become a law document which allows to Palestinians to live in peace in West Bank. Netanyahu knows israelis politicians have done nothing in the last 20 years to protest against oslo agreements so that was perceive by politicians that civil population agrees through peace talks to return some areas or settlements according to Oslo peace agreements. shalom salam
10. wake up and smell the coffee JGad #9
israel israeli ,   tel aviv   (06.28.13)
That still does not excuse Netanyahu. Even if you believe Abbas wants coexistence (he can't, he is obligated to the PLO charter), and even if you believe there can be two viable states (there can't look at a map), Hamas is the dominant force in Arab politics with a full 81% of democratic support, Hamas is religiously obligated to destroy Israel. What you are really saying is that the 1992 Oslo agreements, and all the rest, all the guarantees and safeties had nothing to do with negotiations and everything with imposing an Arab state on Israel. What you are saying is that succeeding American regimes and Israeli governments have brought Israel to a situation that on September 2013, the UN will release a Syrian style Jihad on us, one which we can't win. Netanyahu can easily avoid this fate. Take away all Fatah rights, and let Hamas loose in Judea and Samaria.
11. The problem with Preconditions..
Sammy ,   Newcastle   (06.28.13)
Is that it ties each side to a stance..and inhibits really creative thinking Both sides must be open to new ideas, new approaches and sticking to old and well trodden lines....is not enough The Negotiating Teams on both sides need to include young fresh talent to stimulate fresh thinking And CRUCIALLY the PA must never EVER again leave itself submissive or influenced by any other outside interests..on how to deal with Israel And above all to grow to proud Statehood...we must remove the automatic Institutional Anti Israel agenda when at the same time we are trying to foster peace and mutual cooperation Push them hard Kerry Proud to be Palestinian
12. #11. Here is a new and original idea for you:
A ,   Belgium   (06.28.13)
All factions of the PA...Fatah, Hamas, Jihad Islami, etc...clearly accept and recognize Israel as the Jewish state. When that happens, both sides may be able to start talking. But until then, the mistrust that the "palestinian" leadership has worked so hard to develop and foster will continue to deepen until Israel will simply declare that there is nothing more to "negotiate" and the "palestinians" will be left with exactly what they started with...nothing.
13. My very dear Chaim @ #8.
Israeli 2   (06.28.13)
We need the following done immediately: Recreate a country called Israel because Israel means different things to different people. 1) Judaize Israel. 2) Throw out the current system (Turkish, British and all other laws that crept in and were adopted). 3) The Torah must be our constitution 4) No democracy, no rabbinic ruling, no coercion, force or duress 5) One compassionate, G-d fearing man will rule Israel every 7 years. 6) The 12 tribes re-instituted according to their regions before their exile.
14. #12. First
Sammy ,   Newcastle   (06.28.13)
- I don't think the most optimistic amongst PA truly believe ANY unity EVER between Hamas and IJ and Fatah. The ideological gulf is just unbridgeable So Fatah cannot speak for Hamas as Hamas cant speak for Fatah And as this reality is recognised Palestinians of the West Bank begin to understand that new approaches are called for One such approach would be a Federation with Jordan based on the Scottish/Welsh/N Irish Model with an Independent Self Governing Entity in the West Bank under the elected Palestinian Government with Defense under the umbrella of Amman That way we preserve our Identity and Independence whilst enjoying the benefits of interdependence with Jordan As for fostering 'mistrust' its two sides of the same coin...Abbas and Netanyahu both...bad calls and judgment on both sides ....
15. #4 I agree. Thank you very much for your post. Deb

Mostly your people seem to be proud of having their hands out and living off of others. I have yet to see them try to foster peace or any kind of cooperation but I guess one can always hope.
17. Geeeeez,,,,,,
Clark Kent ,   Planet EL   (06.28.13)
How long before these two masturbating idiots go blind. LMAO, they may have already gone blind. There will be no peace in this region,,,, you can see it is being destroyed,,,, so "The New Jerusalem" can come. Geeeeez,,,,, two "masturbating fools", LOL.
18. #israel Israeli
JGad   (06.28.13)
If you believe Mahmoud Abbas has no real and authentic interest to reach a peace agreement with israelis, is just because you like many orhers israelis think the same about Benjamin Netanyahu when is meant about peace talks with palestinians. See u around
19. Invading Jewish minority DEMANDS to be controlling majority
Steve Benassi ,   Silver Bay, MN USA   (06.28.13)
...through US political and US military power, land confiscation, ethnic cleansing, and selective voting rights. There will be no peace agreement that allows the minority Jews to dominate the majority Arabs in the region. Voting rights for all, from river to sea, is the only solution, Palestine Israel, 2 States, 1 Country. A constitution to protect minority rights, a Senate, a House, and an Executive Branch, and Judiciary.
20. What a waste!
Ron ,   US   (06.28.13)
Just another wasted effort that will go no where! If you still think Israel wants peace, I have some land on the moon that I can sell you too!! Wake up!!
