3. Yet again The Settlers
Ivor Evenbiggergun   (06.29.13)
numbering 350,000 people are attempting to hold hostage 6 million decent law abiding Israelis. The fact is McDonalds are merely ensuring that they themselves are not targeted by the BDS campaign, a campaign whose central premis is that the settlements are contrary to International Law. Understandable that the settlers are getting panicked as their reign of terror comes to an end, but I doubt McDonalds will lose any sleep if they get boycotted by a few settlers, who cannot access them in the West Bank anyway
4. shame! i cannot boycott Mac
Mira ,   Vienna   (06.29.13)
I never eat that trash food anyway, but I certainly will encourage everybody else to do so here in Vienna!
5. I am loving it
Muna - Doha ,   Boycot, baby, boycot   (06.29.13)
Oh, MacDonalds must be crying rivers over the settlers boycott. Artists, food chains, academics... the world is finally helping to set the border between Israel and Palestine. Let's respect and admire Israeli within the Green Line! Let's treat Israeli settlers beyond the Green Line as they are: parasites, invaders, indecent people.
6. well.....
D ,   centre   (06.29.13)
One less Mcdonalds in the world can only be a good thing. If I had my choice Dr. Omri would have to close every single one of them. That would be just for two reasons, 1, to discontinue the advance of fast food muck, and 2, stop a greedy pig from earning money from the profit of unhealthy muck.
7. So?
DGS ,   Israel   (06.29.13)
Let BURGUER KING come in!!!
8. Settlers boycott McDonald
Harold ,   USA   (06.29.13)
Yes McDonald company will shut down when the Settlers boycott it. LOL McDonalds is an international company and cannot open a branch on a occupied land.
9. #8 Harold
BEN JABO (MACHAL) ,   ISRAEL   (06.29.13)
There are as many American Jews as there are Jews in Israel American Jews should boycott McDonalds and hit them in the pocketbook, where it hurts their bottom line
10. Have you noticed
Sarah B ,   Tel Aviv/London   (06.29.13)
That despite repeated denials that the Boycott Divest and Sanction movement is not affecting Israel. A whole lot of energy and money is being used to counter it. Someone is lying
11. I don't think anybody in Judea and Samaria would eat Mc
Miron ,   USA   (06.29.13)
Their kitchen is not good for hot climate. Same as in Texas.
12. Golden Rule for the Golden Arches
Golden Dome ,   Washington, USA   (06.29.13)
Don't build outside the borders of (lawful) Israel.
13. Boycott Settlement Products
James ,   Canada   (06.29.13)
Sounds good to me. Boycotts by these settlers against McDonald's validate the BDS movement. Boycott settlement products and dry the terrorist extremists settlers out.
14. So no cheeseburger for religious settlers?
Ehud   (06.29.13)
What's new here?

Harold ,   USA   (06.29.13)
Jews in the United States have already bycotted McDonald, Burger King, Wendy and other fast food retuarants because the consider their food in non Kosher. Wise-up
16. 5 Muna...the more you boycott
alsky ,   Toronto   (06.29.13)
the stronger Israel becomes. Bring on the boycotts ! G-d bless the 'settlers' They are very brave and I shall continue to support them.
17. #1
Ilan ,   Ramat Gan, Israel   (06.29.13)
McDavid is loooong gone. Ever since mcdonalds arrived in the 90's after its looong boycott of Israel. Everybody jumped ship to mcdonalds.
18. Private Enterprise
Andrew ,   New York, NY   (06.29.13)
Israel is a free country - the owner of McDonald's can open or not open stores where they want. What next? Is the government going to mandate that McDonald's open in Ariel. Boycott if you want - that's your right. But it's also the right of MdDonald's to open or not to open.
19. Golden opportunity
Cynthia ,   USA   (06.29.13)
Start your own chain of McDavid Falafels & Burgers where McDonalds is refusing to build. Your business will be successful and McDonalds will likely change their mind or regret their short-sighted decision.
20. #13 Will that make you happy, James?
Cynthia ,   USA   (06.29.13)
Face it James, these people are industrious. They create businesses and offer Palestinians jobs. So what you really want is to make the Palestinians unemployed and dependent. Then you can cry about the poor widdle Palestinians and the mean Israelis. I have yet to see anything come out of this misguided BDS movement for dummies that actually benefits anyone. It only gives people like you something to rant about.
21. Hey James #13 - the world should boycott You!
Brian Cohen ,   Judean Peoples Front   (06.29.13)
You and your continuing illegal occupation of native Canadian lands. Get out of your settler house, give Canada back to its rightful owners, and go back to Europe where you came from!
22. McDonalds
rm ,   Amsterdan, NL   (06.29.13)
my respect for it has grown a bit. Israel thinks it can act at will without consequenses. Fact is Ariel was build to prevent a two state solution. It's late founder was quite candid about that. It is way outside the green line and deliberately so. I only wish more companies had Mc Donalds guts.
23. #19 boycott ALL settlment producs
BEN JABO (MACHAL) ,   ISRAEL   (06.30.13)
Then can all of the Arabs that were making them, they can then work at Arab wages, which about 1/5th of Jews make
24. #10 Enlighten us wise londonistanian
Benji ,   US   (06.30.13)
How much is Israel spending to counter BDS? Seems they put money into building an awesome economy.
25. Boycotting Omni Padran
Robert Haymond ,   Teko'a, Israel   (06.30.13)
I am personally boycotting all MacDonalds both for myself and any grandchildren who wish to accompany me to Jerusalem. I will eat at Burger Ranch from time to time and I do love Mike's (Jaffa Rd.).
26. McD
AL ,   US   (06.30.13)
I just had a big Mac and loved it.
27. Misunderstanding the McDonalds Decision
Bill ,   New York, USA   (06.30.13)
Everyone has it all wrong. McDonalds clearly made its decision not to open in Ariel because it wanted to preserve Jewish life there. Now if only they would stop harming Israelis within the Green Line. Now if only we could get them to open franchises in the Bekaa Valley . . .
28. Not a Boycott?
Bill stein ,   USA   (06.30.13)
Wait but a McDonald Israel spokesman said it was in Jpost? Left Wing selective memory
29. at 65 I do not eat much fast food anymore
Arnold ,   Montreal-Canada   (06.30.13)
I've had my fill of McDonald's and all the other fast food joints. I kinda feel bad for McDonald's because all they want is to make a buck. Politicizing a Big Mac is sheer stupidity on both sides.
30. You're unfair
Thomas ,   Poland   (06.30.13)
McDonald food is very delicious. I really love it :-)
