1. preconditions because 20 years of negotiations with nothing
adam adam ,   earth planet   (06.30.13)
palestinians made negotiations with israel through 20 years with nothing happened because they went to negotiate with no references and that was so wrong and they will never back to negotiate without references .
2. Pals want preconditions since they know talks going nowhere
Sam ,   Canada   (06.30.13)
Palestinians know that their demands won't bring an agreement so they want to at least get something beforehand. They are already used to getting gestures so why not hold out for more. Palestinians, merely agreeing to sit for negotiations shouldn't be seen as some great prize, as Kerry is doing. Either the Palestinians agree to compromise or they should be told to take a hike. After all, talks are mostly for their benefit.
3. #1 - lie
Igor ,   Israel   (06.30.13)
They were able to get everything requested in 2000. Arafat refused, because in fact "Palestinians" want to destroy Israel. Israel is tired of meaningless talks.
4. Abbbas wants a single state & some idiots on the right suppo
zionist forever   (06.30.13)
Once Abbas wanted two states because he thought it was a stepping stone for with the help of arabs in Israel eventually extend that to a single state. Now global opinion drifting toward the single state idea and the some idiots on the far right making publicly supporting a single state because they mistakenly believe that we can have a Jewish single state and Abbas has picked up on this an he knows it he drag thngs out long enough he can say its the only viable solution and the world will support him. The whole concept of a Jewish state will be dead if we support the idea of a single state because the arabs will be in such large numbers that they will equal the Jewish population or at least be so large that we can no longer justify being classed as a Jewish state & even the US will back that. Lets say there are 3-4 million in Judea & Samaria + 1 million in Gaza so thats 3-4 million. There are already 1.5 million arabs living in Israel. so that is 5-6 million arabs compared to about 6 million Jews. We have to tread very carefully right now because soon Abbas will its just a announce only a single state is viable & the idea of two states will formerly be dropped on their side and they will not accept anything short of a single state and they will get that western support probably from the US included. I am not certain that the best solution is an arab state based on the 1967 border is the right solution and certainly unless they recognise Israel, give up future territorial claims and demand a ROR. The one thing though I am certain of is those the idiots who think we can have a jewish state in which all palestinians are citizens of need to shut up because they are playing into the hands of the PLO supporting what we have always refused.
5. The real reason
Nissim ,   NYC   (06.30.13)
The reason the Palestinians make negotiations impossible because it would mean that Fatah would cease to have a reason being. They are built on the goal of destruction, not construction. It would mean the end of their kleptocracy and the need to actually new accountable. These people's leaders are thieves and no better than a two bit bargainer in the shuk. Time to call their bluff and expose them for who they are. So sick of their crap.

7. its all $$$$$$$
Volvi   (06.30.13)
Pales. have turned this "attempts at negotiations" into a business. All they have to do is play hard to get and keep saying NO to everything....and the money just pours in. Now why didnt a Jew dream up such a money making venture? The West and Israel have taught them well, just keep saying no and your assured of millions. They are scratching their heads wondering "can these infidels really be so stupid"? Guess they are, just look at the Wests negotiations with Iran on her nuclear activities for over 10 years. The Iranians continue as normal and all the West wants to do about is talk ad nauseum. Hey it works.
8. I think the world has woken up, and knows exactly what's
but they hate Jews   (06.30.13)
going on. They are just pretending to be stupid, because it serves their obsessive hatred of Jews. They love using the "Palestinians" against the Jews. As we all know, this land is full of Jews running a successful vibrant economy and that's just too much for most people to come to terms with. No one really understands how the Jews pulled this off - it's mind boggling and disturbing; from nothing after the devastating Holocaust to this amazing modern country, all the while fighting off enemies of all kinds. An amazing unprecedented feat.
9. Remember The Song "Smackwater Jack"?
emanon ,   USA   (06.30.13)
It has a great line: "You Can't talk to a man / With a shotgun in his hand". That should be Israel's precondition to the arabs: disarm before you sit down. Other than coming to the table without arms, any precondition really means "My mind is made up, I don't want to be confused with facts and I *REALLY* don't want to negotiate".
10. Peace talks
Judy Jones ,   Charlotte   (06.30.13)
Our President is not on the side of peace. More than half of our country stands against his socialist ways. He is not a true friend to Israel. In his administration there are several top cabinet members with anti-Israeli views. Stand your ground. The other half of America stands with Israel and her people.
11. BINGO!!!!!!
Israeli ,   Haifa   (06.30.13)
If the so-called “occupation” is preventing peace, why was there a need to fight a war in 1967 when there was no “occupation"?
12. Talk is cheap - let's say yes.
On the Balcony ,   Akko/NY/Kyiv   (06.30.13)
Settlement building activities will stop Prisoners excluding those convicted of weapons violation, premeditated assaults on individuals and/or murderers will be released the 1967 borders will be base point for determining borders. AS SOON AS AND FOR LONG AS ABBAS SITS DOWN AT THE NEGOTIATION TABLE. Talk is cheap. Lets stop making "no preconditions" a precondition and see what happens.
13. Why not
swej-kcuf ,   Amman, Jordan   (06.30.13)
What a delusional extreme Hebrew. presentation of points misleading in greater efforts to get the instructions for hasbaristas to keep on with the venomous hate. Try to driven by optimism, rather than become addicted to the traditional wicked mantra that there’s NO way in hell we can let the Palestinians start to live .. the start of the inevitable..
14. The original Israeli borders
Israeli ,   Haifa   (06.30.13)
If you look in Yehoshua 13:1-7, Israel is like a rectangle. It includes ALL of Lebanon, down to the river of Egypt, and into Jordan and Saudi Arabia. No wonder they have to destroy us! 13 Now Joshua was old, advanced in years. And the Lord said to him: “You are old, advanced in years, and there remains very much land yet to be possessed. 2 This is the land that yet remains: all the territory of the Philistines and all that of the Geshurites, 3 from Sihor, which is east of Egypt, as far as the border of Ekron northward (which is counted as Canaanite); the five lords of the Philistines—the Gazites, the Ashdodites, the Ashkelonites, the Gittites, and the Ekronites; also the Avites; 4 from the south, all the land of the Canaanites, and Mearah that belongs to the Sidonians as far as Aphek, to the border of the Amorites; 5 the land of the Gebalites,[a] and all Lebanon, toward the sunrise, from Baal Gad below Mount Hermon as far as the entrance to Hamath; 6 all the inhabitants of the mountains from Lebanon as far as the Brook Misrephoth,[b] and all the Sidonians—them I will drive out from before the children of Israel; only divide it by lot to Israel as an inheritance, as I have commanded you. ”
15. A perfect analysis
Mira ,   Vienna   (06.30.13)
I hope I24 will have articles like that on their 3-language world channel!
16. #3 EXACTLY!!!!!!!
Israeli ,   Haifa   (06.30.13)
17. This is totally true. So why negotiate?
Israeli ,   Haifa   (06.30.13)
"The Palestinians do not wish to see a Jewish state of Israel as their neighbor. In fact, if they had their way Israel would cease to exist altogether in favor of one Arab state of Palestine covering all the land Israel sits upon. This is confirmed on the websites of Fatah, PLO and Hamas, all of which show a single state of Palestine in green, covering the entire State of Israel. Yet we hear no calls by world leaders to alter these images."

Excellent article No need to get commentaries as you do,all is explained aldready in this article. Those against it must not have read it.
19. #13 If Arabs want peace then quit with the BS
Sam ,   Canada   (06.30.13)
All Arabs can do is whine about the poor Palestinians. Those poor Palestinians reject any peace that includes a Jewish majority Israel. They want it gone. So, what peace do you expect Jews to make with them. Arabs live in a delusional world where Palestinians can do no wrong.
20. How to negotiate with thieves?
Jarda ,   Czech Republic   (06.30.13)
21. Peace
henry ,   manila   (06.30.13)
War is inevitable between Israel and Muslims. There can be no peace in the Middle East until one or the other is completely annihilated. Dog will determine when this will happen. It will be a great event and would be very interesting to know the outcome. The question is which God is more powerful; the god of Muslims or the God of Israel. Obviously they have different Gods.
22. Whatever Israel SAYS about peace...
Pat ,   Ireland   (06.30.13)
...the facts of what it actually does on the ground (i.e. build 'settlements') shows the whole world how serious it really is. Actions speak much louder than words, and Israeli actions are both illegal and immoral.
23. Thanks!!
Jehudah Ben-Israel ,   Qatzrin, Israel   (06.30.13)
24. #3 exactly - Olmert offered them almost all their
jrebecca ,   modiin   (06.30.13)
preconditions, so they just stopped talking. In the mean time they got /let Hamas/Islamic Jihad etc to send more rockets, knowing that eventually, the Israelis would get sick of the give give give stale mate and vote in a less giving government, and then they could cry foul again.
25. It's Done!
Bill Foonman ,   Jacksonville USA   (06.30.13)
With the daily brutality, barbarism and horror stories, the world has had its fill of Islam. In as much as most nations resent Israel, they now trust Muslims even less. The Palestinians already have all they are going to get. It's time to move on.
26. i assume you say that because building more
student ,   israel   (06.30.13)
houses means les territory for the palestinians right? well, according to that logic if the pallestinians want to have more land they should want to talk with israel and reach an agreement. besides, building houses for citizens is a normal thing, especially in places that will stay in israel's side no matter what, dont you see that this is only a spin ment to keep the palestinians as the poor guys(yet violent) and keep the money from donation flowing to their pocket, they dont need peace, you people are giving them everything they want, all they have to do is wait for israel's destruction.
27. Come on folks! If Abbas says no Jews in his state,
Yosi ,   Gilo-Jerusalem   (06.30.13)
how many Jews will there be in a "one state" solution? Answer: Zero So, under any circumstances, even the crazy left, why should we even talk of "peace talks"?
28. Agree with the outhor...
Beary White ,   Norway   (06.30.13)
Israel is the only jewish state in the world and should continue to be. Islamic followers have dedicated islamic countries where they can fight and kill each other, or torture each other in the most cruel way. Watch the videos just released from Syria...deadly and in-human.
29. 22 Pat
alsky ,   toronto   (06.30.13)
A) it is a perfectly LEGAL occupation since west bank was never a Soverein nation. B) Israelwon the land in wars started by Arabs. Again, Israel is free to build. C) the land eas promised to the Jews a long time ago (Balfour Declaration/San Remo) IF you look at the facts (rather than your left wing media), Israels actions are BOTH legal and moral !
30. #4. "Palestinians" are a declining minority in Israel.
Chaim ,   Israel   (06.30.13)
#4. You should know better than to believe fake, politically motivated P.A. statistics. The Arab population bomb is a proven hoax. Highly credibly American and Israeli studies prove "Palestinians" are a declining minority in Israel. All Israel need do to cause a mass exodus of "Palestinian" poseurs from our land is to stop showering Fictional Palestine with food, money, materials and electricity. Most "Palestinians" would beg to leave our land. Fictional Palestine would collapse within a month.
