It is horrendous the behavior a Hareidi solder has to endure when he returns to his home. The Hareidi are fearful of their boys becoming less religious or non-religious while in the army! What do they think this behavior will do? If I was a Haredi boy and I saw my non-Hareidi comrades going home each Shabbat and being welcomed by friends and neighbors and I knew I had to change my clothes and sneak back into my house, for sure, I would have second thoughts about my religious choice. It is NOT the IDF that will force these boys to become Chiloni--it is the Hareidi!
