1. Actually, Israel funds this theater.
Miron ,   USA   (07.02.13)
And as long as theater does not engage in Anti - Israel activities it will work like nobody's business. In the meantime, feel free to explain what you were doing demanding its sedition. And what this has to do with any children or arts.
2. "Palestine" Doesn't exist!
Chaim T. ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (07.02.13)
The video segment named “A Gift from Grandma,” features a Palestinian Authority girl named Salwa who says that she lives in "Palestine" before she helps her grandmother embroider a dress for her. Some viewers were incensed at the use of the name “Palestine” – a nonexistent state whose formation was agreed to by Netanyahu, but that many Israelis feel cannot be established without putting Israel's existence into danger. PA officials have threatened to declare a state whether there is a peace agreement or not, but Israel will not recognize it without one. However,, it seems that someone on the writing staff never heard of Israel--or Jordan for that matter--two places where the story might , actually must, have been filmed. Perhaps whoever wrote those lines feels that if something is repeated often enough, such as the existence of a place called Palestine, it will be believed. Perhaps there is a PA activist on the writing staff.
3. The puppets are not the issue
Amram ,   Toronto, Canada   (07.02.13)
Any "Palestinian" activity in Jerusalem will be used as "proof" that Jerusalem is "Palestinian". They should call the event "The Israeli Arab Puppet Festival"
4. The Arabs are welcome to hold festivals, but not when
Jehudah Ben-Israel ,   Qatzrin, Israel   (07.02.13)
the body that sponsors those festivals is a political entity that has no right to do so, i.e. the Palestinian Authority Jerusalem is part and parcel of sovereign Israel; it is not part of Area A or Area B in Samaria and Judea. And, as such, the only authority in the city is the government of Israel and the city municipality. It is time the Arabs accepted this reality if they are ever to live peacefully alongside us, Jews, in the Jewish ancestral homeland.
5. like typical artists they are air heads and wrong. do not

7. yes the PLO terrorist puppets can return to Jordan
FGH   (07.02.13)
They have NO RIGHT to play in Yerushalyim. Expel them, Expel them and I say again Expel them.
8. Just No PA Involvement
Common Sense ,   Tel Aviv   (07.02.13)
The PA cannot operate in Jerusalem. This is our capital, and we rightly refuse to let the PA challenge our sovereignty over Jerusalem. Let the puppets perform without PA involvement.
9. To 2#
David Clarke ,   Liverpool, England   (07.02.13)
Actually Chaim perhaps if you bothered to read up on history and politics instead of reading from the book of messianic delusions you would realise that the entire region you live in was once called Palestine for hundreds of years before the existence of the State of Israel, Palestine is recognised by the United Nations as a State within the 1967 borders alongside the state of Israel and is recognised by over 150 countries worldwide, a state whose borders include East Jerusalem, which no institution or government on this Earth recognises as part of Israel, Palestine very much exists just as much as Israel exists and it is awfully ignorant to suggest otherwise, the biggest fantasy land that exists in that region is Judea and Samaria, a land of make believe populated by extreme religious messianics and if Israel can fund Settlements events for Jews over the Green line why can't the Palestinians fund puppet shows within their accepted borders?, criticising the Palestians for funding Palestinian institutions is rank hypocracy and on top of that closing down a theatre just for accepting money is pathetic, it just makes Israel look tyranical and petty in front of the world for denying children some joy and laughter in their lives, all for the sake of petty politics.
10. It Really Is Offensive That Ynet Accepts Missionary Ads!

12. Wise political decision
Get Real ,   UK   (07.02.13)
PA funded activities to undermine Israel's position regarding Jerusalem need to be closely controlled before they become the norm.
