That family courts often discriminate against men and let women blackmail men. They impose impossible child support orders, hand out restraining orders freely, are all too often separate children from their father or force them to see them in visitation centers.

As someone who was denied a get by her ex for nearly 4 years until I agreed to his terms... I feel the system is totally biased towards the men. The Ketubah is not worth the paper it's written on, a man can threaten to kill his wife and the legal system does nothing but drag its feet, and the social workers encourage the woman to come to an agreement for the sake of the children... In the end the abusive controlling husband gets exactly what he seeks. .. A better financial standing than the ex wife and children.

You had a bad lawyer or no lawyer at all probably. Women that do not know their rights get abused by the system and the husband. You could easily have gotten him to pay Mezonot Isha while he was delaying the Geht. He would have broken down in a couple of months. My cousin was smart enough to get a good lawyer and she got what she wanted a relatively quick divorce and child support.

Of course, if the man doesn't provide with food, clothes and ...... . But now the women have jobs and financial state support, therefore the man must only supply his wife with .... . Only in this case the women has the right to divorce.

Many women are working and doing quite well. The men today have become next to useless. And so the world turns. It should only be about the children and nothing more. When parents will care more about their children and less about themselves and their perceived hurts then maybe things will settle down. In the interim the lawyers are having a field day playing into your emotions while depleting your bank accounts. Smarten up..do away with the lawyers and settle things quickly and then move on with your lives. I have been divorced for over 20 years and I have never looked back. Men..there are more women out there than you can ever imagine.
