1. its a military coup
zionist forever   (07.04.13)
After the fall of Mubrak the military avoided the transfer to a civilian government as long as they could and whilst they were acting as a temporary government they changed the constitution giving the bulk of political power to them rather than the civilian government. Morsi took it back but instead he took those powers for himself which was considered unconstitutional. The military have arrested Morsi forced his resignation and once again they are the standing government and have suspended the constitution. So they probably plan to take political power back for themselves leave the civilian government without any real muscle. The military have seized power under the justification its what the people wanted so Obama must end all military aid to Egypt and also suspend any financial aid and encourage the IMF not to lend to Egypt the $5 billion they wanted. Send a message to the military and general public either you get your act together introduce proper democracy or you don't get anything from America.
2. Army vs Islamist-Jihadists
Brod ,   USA   (07.04.13)
Egypt Army knows how to maintain Law and Order. It is time the world understands this. There is no such thing as Western democracy in an Islamist-Jihadist environment. The latter is dominated by fanatics. It takes a strong professional army to insure that the dark forces do not dominate and ruin the country.
3. Egyptians have made a favour to the world...
Sherif ,   porto   (07.04.13)
The MB is a brotherhood of liars that manipulating the truth......this is a popular uprising of 33 millions against a new type of religious tirany with the help of Army, Police, Azhar, Salafi and Coptic church....this is our true moderate Egypt.
4. violence
austin ,   USA   (07.04.13)
with arabs, everything lleads to violence whats the big deal?
5. Counter-Revolution
Abdullah ,   Jordan   (07.04.13)
If this is not a military coup, then I dont know what is. Its unfortunate that half of egyptians were duped into this counter-revolution. Emphasis on half.
6. Poor Egyptians
Reuven Brauner ,   Raanana, Israel   (07.04.13)
They think that the new guys will be better. No way. Their country is bankrupt, and their politicians corrupt. What chance do they ever have of emerging from their muck? None.
7. the islamists love martyrdom
CJK   (07.04.13)
the egyptian military seems to prefer order. they lock up those that want to carry out martyrdom operations. no one has forgotten that the muslim brotherhood had assassinate anwar sadat for the sole reason that he wanted peace rather than war. obama must be reminded of this fact, and of the fact that the head of al qaeda, al zawahiri, was a member of the brotherhood.
8. # 1
Yosef ,   Egypt   (07.04.13)
Hey little "zionist forever", keep your little opinion to yourself. what happened was a people's revolution against a backward and tyrannical Islamist regime! I wonder if the US "aid" to Egypt bothered you as much when Morsi (apparently a favorite of yours) was in power. If ousting the criminal brotherhood is seen by you as bad news, you would probably want to hang out with Obozo and his buddies at CAIR.

Birdi ,   Israel   (07.04.13)
Hey tiny little Josef over there in Egypt. Learn to read English before you come to our Jewish news website & show us how very stupid you are. We here would like very much to see Egypt thrive under a democratic government, with freedom for you & your people. Inshallah.
10. #8 Unfortunatly, none of your "progressive"
A ,   Belgium   (07.04.13)
new leaders...the army, the youth, the salafists...are willing to honor and expand the peace treaty with Israel (which could only be to Egypts' advantage) that your president Sadat was murdered for. Therefore, your country may continue to rot in the cesspool of islamic excrement, while claiming to be "democratic". Islam and democracy don't mix.
11. Egypt Army
Corina L. ,   Largo, FL USA   (07.05.13)
Great comment. Right to the point.
12. Army vs Muslim Brotherhood
Brod ,   USA   (07.05.13)
Violence is a Modus Operandi of the Muslim Brotherhood (father of Islamist-Jihadist terrorism around the world). However, the Egyptian Army will detox the country of zombies. The world should support the Rule of Law and NOT Muslim Brotherhood tyranny, domination and terrorism.
13. On a mutual note of agreement
BUILD BABY BUILD !!! ,   United States   (07.06.13)
the Egyptian people are right on when they blame obama for installing Morsi as PM while jailing Mubarak, just as we Americans. ( Mubarak was America's trusted ally and kept the peace with Israel ) obama's interference has been the biggest reason for the deaths of so many Muslims. His continuing assalut on Israel and her use of her land is also preposterous. In short he lacks any plan or any vision for any peace. The sooner his term ends the better for Israel. p.s. the US no longer needs the ME oil, we're getting our own and should NOT dictate policy to our ONLY ALLY<< ISRAEL!!!!! KEEP BUILDING!!!!!
