Egypt sold gas to Israel and Jordan and was considered such a reliable source that we didn't need large emergency reserves. One day the dictator who had created stability for 30 years was pressured to go through protests and Obama backed up the protestors. The result was chaos the pipeline selling gas to Israel & Jordan which provides a significant proportion of the countries income kept getting blow up time and time again. One day Israel discovered its own gas and used it to replace Egyptian gas. Agreements have been done that soon Israel will also sell gas to Jordan so thanks to the Egyptians blowing up their own pipeline time and time again they are going to loose their 2 main buyers. Soon they won't need the pipeline anymore anyway so they can blow it up and it won't matter. Country needs money and thanks to the Egyptians themselves they will loose valuable contracts.
5. So what?
Koose E Mack ,   NY USA   (07.07.13)
Baruch Hashem, Israel needs Egypt's gas like a fish needs to learn how to swim. The idiots who blew up the pipeline are only hurting the Jordanians and themselves. Typical self-destructive behavior of barbarians.
6. 4 So right.

So better not to meddle in Syria too much, one of those "be careful what you wish for" things.
