Michael ALBERT ,   Holon, Israel   (07.09.13)
It is high time. Hungary has a long record of evasion of liabilities, both material and admission of guilt and indifference to the Shoa. Being a survivor, who never received restitution for the lost childhood and traumas, I am looking forward to see some benefits, if ever.

Undeniably right, both of you. However, if I were a survivor I would have serious qualms about having my restitution send to top heavy organisations like Claims Conference who at times seem to be more intent about making a buck than honoring their statutory goals. Notoriously slow in turning out other peoples' money these organisations are.

Governments doesn't deal with individual survivor, whether you like it or not Claims Conferenceis is responsible for the distribution. Until now, there is no information who is entitled, all Hungarian survivors, also the ones from the annected territories - belonging to Hungary only during the war years -.So first we need information.
5. Restitution

I never received any proper restitution because I left Hungary too late, in 1956. My friends who left in 1948, receive Wiedergutmachung for decades. Why not me? Katona Istvan now Stephen Casey Bu 87645
