If the "Jewish state" renounces Halakha and instead embraces democracy as a founding principle, then it might as well have never been established - any state will do. So since the democratic "option" has been debunked, then HOW do you get things running right? Start with the basics. Some of it's pretty basic. Citizens must acknowledge one supreme deity, no more, no less. They must not acknowledge any other worthy beings. No images!! No murder, no stealing, and so on. Those are pretty basic right? And you probably have your work cut out for you right there with those first ten, before you have to worry about the rest.
