A major conflagration WILL take place, The question is only when ?! It Has been predicted almost 3 000 years ago by our great prophet Jeremiah...

3. So why is Israel treating wounded jihadis in Israeli hospita

? Dying to please again
4. When they attack again--Totally destroy
Don Rosenberg ,   Palatine USA   (07.10.13)
this racist, terrorist enemy. They will start another war with Israel and Israel should totally annihilate hezbollah and take over land from Lebanon. Israel needs to take land from these animals and make them know, when they lose, they will LOSE !!! Enough proportional force BS from the racist world.
5. Oy vey:now is the time to "make peace" at all cost
tom ,   tel aviv   (07.10.13)
We must return Golan to Syria, Jerusalem to Palestinians, Tel Aviv to Sudanese and so on....
6. Hezbollah trying to restore tarnished image in Lebanon?
Alan ,   Canada   (07.10.13)
Will Hezbollah initiate a conflict with Israel to try regaining popularity in the Arab opinion after loosing all credit by killing Sunnis in Syria along Assad's army & militias? It needs to counter the harsh criticism it has suffered from many Arab leaders & the hostility from many people outraged by their murderous activities in Syria. Showing off in words and deeds against Israel has always been an effective scapegoating tool to unite otherwise highly divided Muslims. Opening a conflict on the Golan Heights might be one way for Hezbollah to regain some political footing. And it might be more palatable on the Golan than starting a fight at the Lebanon-Israel border since this would involve Lebanon government against its will. Hezbollah used to justify its existence as long as the question return of the Shebaa Farms to Syria was not resolved. This being not very convincing it followed by pretending to be the essential protector of Lebanon against Israel. But its heavy support of Assad has demonstrated that Israel is not its lone objective as an instrument of its Iranian & Syrian master's ambitions.
7. Military defenses, tanks, etc cannot secure a border today
Bitcoin Li ,   USA   (07.10.13)
The fact that Israel has utterly ignored other types of defenses, such as authentic treaties with authentic regional powers, does not bode well for the state of Israel. Israeli leaders are trying to recreate some past military drama. They have lost sight of current realities.
8. Does Israel have a government?
Elad ,   Tel Aviv Israel   (07.10.13)
I live here and I'm starting to believe that maybe Bibi is just a talking inflated doll. With Palestians being handed land and whatever else they want, giving away weapons and food to Africa to take THEIR own citizens back and now he will probably hand the Golan to Hezbollah to please the world and avoid 'conflict'. Grow some balls Bibi or maybe borrow magic underwear from your school buddy Romney, whatever it takes just start doing your job and protect your country and its people already!
9. Government ?
yosef, phd ,   usa -israel   (07.10.13)
De facto: Israel did not have a truly "governing" government since the Yom Kippur war in 1973 with the late Golda Meir as PM. For the last 40 years the Jewish state had increasingly indecisive, sycophantic and cowardly leadership, caring only for the perks and warm chairs that come w/ the political appointments. Amir Peretz as defense minister was just one outrageously laughable example, the senile Shimon Peres as unelected president - another.
10. Druze 5th Column
Jake ,   Haifa, Israel   (07.10.13)
If Hezbollah has an intelligence presence on the Golan, that is clearly among the pro-Assad Druze. If we know it, deport this 5th column now, before they do us damage. Find the spies and let them live in their Syrian paradise.

12. #7 Current reality?
Eaglebeak ,   Left Coast, USA   (07.10.13)
So called infidels trying to make treaties with Muslims isn't going to secure anything. Tanks, guns, and force is what the regional powers as you call them respect.
13. War
John ,   Herzliya   (07.10.13)
If Hezbollah starts a war on Golan heights, this war will be very much different from any other wars between them and Israel. For the first time Israel will not attack (at least not in the first stages) but will defend territory, which is much easier in military tactics and which will bring heavy casualties to their terrorists. So hit them well this time and get rid of this fat rat in the deep bunker once for ever.

Excellent post...
15. #7 what you wrote is just plain and simply stupid!

16. #7 "authentic treaties with authentic regional powers"?
Ze'ev ,   USA   (07.10.13)
Can you please name these "authentic treaties with authentic regional powers" Israel has made peace with every nation that was willing. Jordan, and Egypt. It had a great relationship with Iran, until the Islamists took over and cut all ties, same with Turkey.
17. Israel is also preparing to defend itself!
Jerome ,   Basalt, Colorado   (07.10.13)
I just got back from Israel, I was riding my bike in the Golan almost everyday and the I.D.F. Was practicing all the time. The next war won't be like Lebanon 2. The hizBullShitallah will suffer massively! I love the I.D.F. tank forces. When they were taking a break they gave my kids a tour of the tanks and d9 bulldozers and ice cream:). They also love what they do! Very proud of them.
18. I hope any counteratack is not limited to the Golan
Ze'ev ,   USA   (07.10.13)
Sounds like Hezbollah thinks they can fight their war on someone else's land. I hope that if such an attack comes, the first counter attack targets are Lebanon's infrastructure. Hezbollah is part of the Lebanese government, as such, any attack from Hezbollah is an attack from Lebanon, and the whole of Lebanon should suffer the consequences. If they don't like it, they can get rid of trouble making Hezbollah.
19. if these terrorists attack from Syria
CJK   (07.10.13)
assad must be prepared to face the consequences, and so should lebanon. netanyahu should tell obama to stay out.
20. #3 - Because we are humans and we are Jews
Yael Schlichting ,   currently Munich   (07.10.13)
At present we are not at war with them.
21. Israel will establish a toll plaza
Stephen in New York   (07.10.13)
Next round Hezbollah will be eradicated south of the Litani. Maybe pushed north of Baalbek. Israel will establish a toll plaza on the Beirut-Damascus road.
22. #7 truly stupid
Zvi   (07.10.13)
Is al-Assad an "authentic regional power"? He is currently engaged in massacring well over 100,000 of his own people, and now uses Iranian and Lebanese forces to do this because his own soldiers can't stand to do it. Israel would be INSANE to let al-Assad's forces sit up on the Golan, shooting down at Israeli towns the way they did before Israel took the Golan away from them. Is Hezbollah an "authentic regional power"? Israel withdrew from EVERY SQUARE INCH of Lebanon in 2000, as CERTIFIED BY THE UN, but Hezbollah claims Syrian territory as "Lebanese" territory and attacks Israel on that flimsy excuse (Syria refuses to clarify the issue so that it can use Hezbollah to murder Israelis). Is Lebanon an "authentic regional power"? It does nothing without Syrian permission. Israel and Lebanon have a semi-cooperative relationship except when Hezbollah, Syria, the Palestinians or Iran use Lebanon to attack Israel. Is the Iran the "authentic regional power?" Israel has reached out to Iranian leaders time and again. The truth is that the Iranian regime uses hatred as a tool to dominate stupid Arabs, and has been very successful doing this. And what about the PA? The PA can't make peace with Israel because its designated role in Arab society is to take revenge on Israel for the awful crime of being a reminder that the Arabs humiliated themselves utterly in a series of pointless wars of aggression whose purpose - unfulfilled, obviously, was to annihilate the Jews. Which makes you simply an idiot.
