1. The Saudis really ought to mind their own p's& q's....
Noodles ,   Coney Island   (07.11.13)
that is if they intend keeping the Kaaba Stone in one piece.
2. what absolute foolishness
CJK   (07.11.13)
the saudis should realize that any hostile act against Israel would be responded to a thousand times. besides, israel is not an enemy. the saudis should concentrate on iran.
3. Thank you Obama...
Maurice ,   Montreal   (07.11.13)
...and all the previous US Presidents for keeping strong and armed with advanced missiles one of the the most racist, most anti-Semitic, and most anti-democratic regimes in the world!
4. The Saudis are the masters of duplicity.
Bald Eagle   (07.11.13)
5. Saudi Arabia should know better
shakespeare   (07.11.13)
Many nuclear nations have plans to target their two holiest cities. That will be the end of world Islam as we know it. i.e. if those cities can be destroyed then the god they worship is pure fiction.
6. This report does not sound especially credible...
Rafi ,   US   (07.11.13)
a lot of "mights"...
7. The invisible armies...
Curtis ,   USA   (07.11.13)
Elisha saw the "invisible" armies of Heaven protecting Israel. These armies are timeless, so, if I were an inhabitant of Israel, I wouldn't be overly concerned about a Saudi missile striking Israel and ruining Yahweh's plans for His land.
8. Stop stirring
One who knows...   (07.11.13)
The British LOVE it when there is trouble in the Middle East. "We do not want to make too many inferences about the Saudi strategy..." Blah, Blah, Blah... what do you know? Israel is not worried about Saudi, nor does Saudi worry about Israel. We are amongst the most stable countries in the whole region. In fact the relationship between Israel, the U.S. and Saudi are better than ever. We especially agree on matters related to Iran, something with which the Brits are not being particularly 'helpful', but what's new. At some point, Israel and Saudi will agree on a strategic peace, and you Brits will be the only ones to live with the fundamental refugees who take over the UK and France. Thank you, and the 'Mandate'
9. Wahhabhists targeting Israel
Brod ,   USA   (07.11.13)
Israel should counter target the Wahhabhists whose thugs attacked America on 9/11. Wahhabhist thugs have been sponsoring and training other Islamist-Jihadist Terrorists around the world.
10. Another illustration: The conflict is an Arab Israeli one,
Jehudah Ben-Israel ,   Qatzrin, Israel   (07.11.13)
not a an "Israeli-Palestinian" conflict. Sure, the local component of the conflict exists, but fundamentally, the conflict has always been between the huge Muslim-Arab world - 350 millions of the Middle East and North Africa and with endless amount of natural resources - against the tine nation-state of the Jewish people, Israel, only 6 million Jews, on area the size of Wales in the UK, and no natural resources. By Biblical proportions it has been Goliath vs. David. And, as in the Bible David managed to win the battle, so has Israel has managed to survive, despite all odds, the on-going war-of-attrition-thought-terror imposed on it, and all the full scale wars fought against it by the Muslim-Arabs with the intent of bringing Israel's very demise.
11. arrows?!
tom ,   toronto, canada   (07.11.13)
arrows, why would the saudis need to mark the site with arrows big enough to be seen clearly in aerial photo? and no labels saying "israel" and "iran"?
12. needless to say
(07.11.13)
these are missiles obama has gifted the saudis with that ARE POINTED TOWARDS ISRAEL. DOUBLE DEALING BASTARD NIGGER.
13. Is that really so unusual and un expected.
leo ,   usa   (07.11.13)
BTW, "pointed" is meaningless and not indicative of anything at all. Any rocket can be turned 180 degrees in mere seconds. It is computerized target acquisition that counts and each rocket already has one. For what we know those rockets may be turned away from Iran for deception.
14. Typical disinformation
Jake ,   USA   (07.11.13)
Saudi Arabia would never attack Israel with missiles. They work closely with Israel on various fronts. The disinfo is probably meant to deflect criticism of Saudi Arabia, from the Muslim Brotherhood, who no-doubt will claim that Saudi Arabia orchestrated the coup in order to help Israel.
15. Saudi missiles ?!
yosef, phd ,   usa -israel   (07.11.13)
After arranging for several $$ billions as an urgent lifesaver to Egypt, the least the Saudis could do is to make a threatening gesture towards Israel - no one ever took their military prowess seriously yet...
16. This story is very hard to believe. The Saudis know...
Persian CAT   (07.11.13)
what will happen to them if they do such stupid thing. Firing missiles at Iran and Israel? Give me break. Never believe the Brits.
17. #11. They are working on it.
Persian CAT   (07.11.13)
The labels will have to wait. The Saudis are trying to figure out how to make them. They have NEVER made anything before.
18. Another reason
Mira ,   Vienna   (07.11.13)
why Israel NEVER must give up the nukes! NEVER! It's the only reason which holds the Arabs back so far, that's why they are so eager to oppose it! They know it would be their radiating end to try.
19. To: Noodles at No. 1
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (07.11.13)
Not to mention all those oil fields, eh? I can just hear the moaning now -- "My grandfather traveled on a camel. My father traveled in a Rolls Royce. I travel in a private jet. My son will travel on a camel." Puts new meaning to the saying "What goes around, comes around." The Saudis had better tread carefully here. Israel can send them back to the Stone Age in a heartbeat. Which is really where they all belong, anyway ...... and they can take their magical, mystical meteorite with them.
20. ITS NOT UNUSUAL!
KIM ,   USA   (07.11.13)
Every country must defend its citizens. However, the fact that such missiles may be pointed toward Israel is not a good indication. Israel needs to capitalize more on gathering more accurate intelligence, especially more on rouge states. Kurdistan Independence Movement ( KIM)
21. To: Sarah B at No. 19
Noodles ,   Coney Island   (07.11.13)
Is that any way to talk about "President" (the Plant) Obama's masters, dear Sarah?
22. No 20 on Rouge States
Claude ,   London, UK   (07.11.13)
Clearly you meant Rogue States, but it would be a good idea to conduct research into cosmetic states too!
23. God forbids
An Arab ,   Unfortunately   (07.11.13)
Saudis will never jeopardize the chair they are setting on since decades. they love chair, being kings, and women. Anything else is of NO interest at all to their few brain cells left.
24. To: Noodles at No. 21
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (07.11.13)
No. It isn't. I was being far too politically correct. I should just call a spade a spade.
25. Saudies are inherently incompetent
AAj ,   UK / Tehran   (07.11.13)
Of the total 28 million people living in SA, 10 million are none Saudies who without whom the Saudies would be just numbers. From repairing a puncture to operating lift systems , health care ....Etc Etc is done by the none Saudies. Ninty percent of Saudies are employed not buy the private sector but the state ,their skill level varies from pushing a pen to talking on the phone , they are forever chatting and doing what they are best of - nothing. The thugs of Al Saud can only fight unarmed civilians , Iran fought an 8 year war with all the 7th century Arabs under the commander Saddam but Arabs couldn't achieve anything against a nation in disarray and under all sorts of sanctions and as against Israeal a Saudi attack on Isreal would last 24 hours after which Al Asuds would go to their mansions in London and would remain of their infrastructure would not support the life style of these lazy oil market parasites .
26. Aren't the missiles in Saudi Arabia US supplied?
Dee Bee ,   Israel   (07.11.13)
Show us Israelis that Obama's remarks about Israel's security are nothing more than bullshit!
27. #3 - the DF-3 missiles are Chinese
spyguy ,   seattle   (07.11.13)
Not only that but the Saudis acquired them long before Obama became president.
28. # 15 One good thing as you say, Yosef.
BUILD BABY BUILD !!! ,   United States   (07.11.13)
That the Saudis and the UAE are paying Egypt ( approximately 8 billion plus America's 1.5 hefty contribution ) to combat the same forces attacking both they and Israel. Pardon me but, nothing can be better than Muslims fighting one another... Jus sayin'. Is there a 'good side'? Time will tell. Might be the Saudi's ( ironically ) may have to become more allied with Israel. The Saudis pilots have a terrible record of slamming their new jets into mountains. The Israeli pilots have a way of making their enemies planes disappear. KEEP BUILDING !!!!!
29. One stupid move
Mira ,   Vienna   (07.11.13)
and Saudi will turn into a radiating country and not because of the sunshine!
30. Take a deep breath, and relax
Avi Israeli ,   Tel Aviv   (07.11.13)
The brits love to pour fuel on the fire. It gets their minds off of axe welding psychopaths and the realities of their country's changing demographics. Luckily for us, there is no fire here, there's not even smoke. The KSA knows that without Israel and the US, the Iranians would take over their oil fields quicker than Saddam took over Kuwait. Dong Feng 3's were never test fired from the KSA. They were imported back in 1987 from the PRC and are no longer supported logistically. They only have 9-12 launchers - a clear indication of a last resort doomsday weapon, nothing more.
