Ramadan. Time of pious fasting and alms. Surely, as Syrian's go begging in the streets to beg from other beggars, you think the noble pursuit of alms to the poor would affect the hearts of the sheiks of oil. They have 13 billion to fork over, but can not muster a dime worth of that money to Jordan to help with displaced Syrians. It is not like they have a whole legislative branch to satisfy, a simple decree rider, unto Egypt goes 13 billion minus 10% of giving alms. For the placement of the moon says, thou must remember Egyptians, you too may soon be sitting in a desert too. Me thinks that is exactly what these petrol dollars are designed to do. You think, the Egyptian military is going to be using that money to send troops to arts n craft class to make pots. No they are going to do what they think is right for Egyptians, and in the process, turn the Egyptian military institution into the new Shah of the Arab world. Watch and learn...

Perhaps if the oil-soaked sheikhs could pry a crowbar into their wallets, the problem could be easily resolved. But since when are Arabs interested in the plight of other Arabs?
