What the heck! Let's all stop eating meat and the disagreement is solved.

I do eat kosher meat with a glass of ... on the side. Why are you wasting your time on American economy? Is it because when America sneezes the rest of the world catches pneumonia? Gregory Monnarino likes trading on the American market and is losing his shirt in the present boom, so don't ask me to read what losers write. Still, accolades to you for reading, or is it pictures only you watch on the Youtube?
33. For the record...there were 3000 'shochats'
Mark ,   Lodz, Poland   (07.14.13)
here in Poland prior to WWll. Even gentiles used to prefer kosher meat if they could afford it. #17 Thanks, tom...you have more of a grasp of matters Polish than the ranters.

It is because the world has had to rely on the dollar as the reserve currency since the end of WWII's Bretton Woods agreement. We are nearing the end of Dollar Hegemony and US Hegemony. You still boast? Your not as stupid as you seem, I sensed apprehension in your last response. You should be worried. Hyper-infaltion is in the forecast. Do not be too cocky. Your shirt will not be the only thing you may lose.
35. split: Poland for Poles is mission accomplished
jdc ,   New York, US   (07.14.13)
Poland is now pretty exclusively Polish. Your ilk have seen to it prior, during and after WW2. Current Jewish population there is 0.01% and declining. (Surviving) Jews are back in their ancestral land, doing fine. No need to ask you for permission on ..., oh, about anything.
36. Impartial studies
Joseph Feld ,   London England   (07.14.13)
There has been much research over many years by vetrinary surgeons and they have not concluded that shechita was cruel. What has been changed in the past generations is the type of holding pens used in kosher abatoirs. Govt research in the UK found no faults with shechita, although there were problems with halal, mainly inconsistency in standards.

A creative way to get rid of unwelcomed schnorrers and the most corrosive element in every society. Quite few rip off artists like those so called kosher 'supervisors' are going to have to look for another job or move. I don't think they'll reinvent themselves and earn their living the old fashioned way, so bye bye ,...
38. Idiot # 6 - Poland is a cesspool ,...
split ,   US   (07.14.13)
If Poland was/is such a cesspool then why there were more Jews in pre WWII Poland (3.5 million) than in the rest of Europe, why the remaining Jews there prefer to stay there than go to Israel. Why don't you hit the road preferable to Israel because your kind will be barred soon from the rest of the civilised world ,...
39. Kosher slaughtering
philipmax ,   NYC   (07.14.13)
Epidemiology studies show that stunned-killed animals begin coagulation at the instant of stunning. Therefore when the animal is killed seconds later, the body begins to putrify instantly. To extract the blood from the dead animal it must be hung up-side down for some time. Even then, only 75% of the blood is evacuated. Kosher slaughtering severs the carotid artery and nervous system. The heart continues to pump even though the brain is "dead". The animal is anesthetized and is unaware that it will soon die. In the process 90% of the blood is "heart pumped" out of the body and putrification is minimal. You decide which is more "humane".

"Current Jewish population there is 0.01% and declining". That means: around 35 thousand. 35 thousand people - certainly well enough to afford buying imported kosher meat. As far as I know there are no plans to ban imports of such meat. And so - it's as simple as that: you want to eat your kind of meat? You just go - as before - to a specialized shop, buy it and cook it. And - good appetite. Smacznego.
41. Then LEAVE Poland

For God's sake... How many cycles do we have to go through... for saving money? Show more self-respect, and leave these places...

Over 90 % were the orthodox Jews not exactly the most productive and likable segment of Israeli society, on the top of that over 70 % couldn't communicate in spoken Polish language and over 90 % read or write ,... No one missed them there or anywhere ,...
44. Konrad: you have missed a zero:3,200 Jews in Poland now
jdc ,   New York, US   (07.14.13)
Wikipedia says 3,200 Jews now in Poland, declining at ~ 8% / year. I do not know at what point import becomes economically non-viable, but the "problem" is disappearing fast.
45. playing the anti-semtism card yet again...
Marcin ,   Gdansk, Poland   (07.14.13)
A sovereign country decides to outlaw barbaric slaughter of animals and people here immediately pull the anti-semitism card. That is really disgusting. There were absolutely no religious or ethnic overtones to the debate preceding the vote on the ban. It wasn't an issue at all. The people in favor of keeping kosher and halal slaughter are only interested in money, since halal meat market is huge. The other side is simply all about prevent cruelty to animals. I followed the debate in Polish media closely and there was nothing anti-semitic about it. I'd like to remind everyone that Kosher meet can still be imported and sold in Poland. I am very proud that Polish lawmakers chose morals and empathy over money. It doesn't happen very often.
46. split: so, ok to kill ?
jdc ,   New York, US   (07.14.13)
Jews have attended Polish Universities and gymnasiums before the war. Their Polish was just fine but they faced abuse and derision regardless of their linguistic skills. And everyone worked: no welfare state back then. But, you are right on one thing: "No one liked them and no one missed them". Reason enough to kill ?
47. 46. split: so, ok to kill ?
split ,   US   (07.14.13)
You're distorting and muddying the content of my post - I said over 90%, I didn't mention the remaining Jews although after 800 years together most of them spoke with heavy accent communicating with natives, preferred Yiddish among themselves and that's an insult to their hosts if you ask me ,... I'm an immigrant I speak with an accent but my kids born here (second generation) communicate with perfect American English and that's my attitude out of respect for those that offered me an asylum and opportunity to provide for myself and family ,... "Reason enough to kill" - I didn't say that or even suggest it, don't try this crap with me, what I'm trying to tell you that Poles or any nation invaded by them got no reason to love them or ever miss their presence there or anywhere ,... Have nice day ,...
48. By the way my friend @ 46 ,...
(07.14.13)
Same crap here, they speak with heavy accent when forced ot communicate in English so do their kids and don't give a damn in public places where everyone else talks English. They ignore adopted norms and make the rest of us listen to their kawing ,... I used to live for 8.5 years in Kew Gardens (Queens) got to know them and witnessed a nice neighborhood turning to Mea Shearim as they grew in numbers - God forbid to have them for a neighbors ,...

It looks that "your" president's and foreign minister's family is going to import not so fresh kosher steaks from a neighboring regimes or to depend on illegal butchery ,...
50. #47, 48, 49 split
solomon ,   bklyn   (07.15.13)
1.The Polish government of the time let them settle, as long as they didn't mix with the Polish population. That was forbidden. 2. So you are assuming that Jews without an accent aren't Jewish (sorry to tell you, but there are plenty!) 3. What did the Jews use when they "invaded" Poland? Tanks? Artillery? Where did you read of such an invasion? 4. Your posts are crap, as usual. You never disappoint. Truth is not in your dictionary. And we know it.
51. # 50 ,...

No one ever invited you there to start with - Prince Boleslaw the Pious out of pitty allowed few families expelled from England in 13 century to stay on his soil that's all. There was no Poland at that time the country was partitioned to few principalities. Locust doesn't have tanks or artilery either ;) ,...
52. #51 split
solomon ,   bklyn   (07.16.13)
Boleslaw united Poland, although he split it upon his death. Around the First Crusade, there was a very large migration of Jews. (“Few families”? - hah!) Boleslaws tolerance attracted them and he permitted them to live in the entire country without restrictions. The restrictions came later, inspired by the Catholic Church. Thank you for once again showing that your history is twisted; that your posts are crap.
