Tova ,   Canada   (07.23.13)
Electronics are not Kosher. This is joke. You cannot kosherize non-living things. this is only a money maker business for the Rabbi. Next they will sell Kosher cars. Stupid indeed
4. obsession of kosherism
anton ,   istanbul   (07.23.13)
whats next kosher ipod?
5. #3 Tova: Cars are already kashered for Pesach in Israel!
Dee Bee ,   Israel   (07.23.13)
We also have dog and cat food Kosher for Passover. Maybe we should have cars and electronics for Pesach too. What boom will this will be for China - Jews buying two of everything. I am sure that the "Car Rights" people would object to exhaust pipe mutilation if we cut a little piece off the tail pipe. Maybe they won't be so quick to vote against Israel, the home of the Jewish People, so quickly!
6. #3 Hey Tova! This is an excellent idea.
MAP ,   Bnei Brak   (07.23.13)
A timer to prevent the vehicle from starting on Shabbat and chagim. A warning device to activate an alarm should a woman attempt to sit in the front passenger seat. Two steering wheels and foot controls - one for milk and one for meat. And finally: a couple of centimeters nipped off the exhaust pipe. Nice little money-spinner!
7. Kosher Smartphone
Ben ,   London, England   (07.23.13)
How much more ridiculous can the Haredi get? And these people are trying to control the lives of ordinary people in Israel? They belong in their shtedls and should keep out of public life.
8. Stupid Rabbi
Tova ,   Canada   (07.23.13)
The more the Haredi community try not to be secular. the more they want it. Do these Rabbi teach torah or deception. I'm sure GOD is laughing at their stupidity and sad at the same time over their ignorance.
9. Kosher smartphone
Harold ,   USA   (07.23.13)
What kosher smartphone means. Is it boiled like the bagels before baking. For 40 years Jews were stranded in the desert swalowing dust and eating locust and never used the word kosher before reaching the promissed land How come the word kosher is important now.
10. LOL
roxanne ,   Martinez   (07.23.13)
CHARGE THEM A LOT
11. Contra-kosher please
Treifa ,   Tel Aviv   (07.24.13)
Pleeez can we also have Kosher-blockers to block out all those unwanted, unsolicited calls inviting us to join the Kever Rachel whatever-they-are, or better still, to give money???
12. Kosher smartphones
Chilli Raveh ,   Jerusalem   (07.24.13)
Tell me how this is any different from covering up a woman from head to foot in the street! It's religion that's supposed to supply the inner resources that direct one to the "appropriate" web sites and if it's not doing that, then why stick with it? Better to buy a regular smartphone and use one's own discretion.
13. Religion enters new heights of stupidity
Haim ,   TA   (07.24.13)
Just one click away from the devil
14. Is Israel kosher?
(07.24.13)
What's Israel? What's kosher?
15. Does it chew its cud & have split hooves?
Jonathan ,   USA   (07.26.13)
Kosher phone? And what of an Haredi is NOT able to save one other Haredi's life (or even his Rebbi's life) because his "smart" phone couldn't be used as a phone to call an ambulance in an emergency? I say "Haredi's life", because I doubt this argument would be listened to if I used someone from another sect.
16. Please don't make fun or Rabbis
Y. Bloom   (01.25.18)
To all those of you who feel the need to make fun of Rabbis, and their attempts to keep our lives clean, I urge you to consider the world wide pandemic of addictions to pornography, and other ailments that smartphones have allowed, not just in the Jewish community. Obviously Rabbis are not dumb, and are aware that people are the problem, not their phones, but any rehabilitation counselor knows that you do not provide money or drugs to somebody who has a problem. Our religion is based solely on Rabbinic Judaism, and throughout history, it is these Rabbis that you're making fun of that have kept us going, and our faith ignited through all the hard times we've been through. I just hope you never need them when you or somebody you love is drowning in one of these addictions.
