All this is great. The start-up country that has done so much to develop the Internet! Just spent two weeks in Israeli hotels. In the four star hotels it cost about $25 per day for mediocre Internet. In our Tzimmer in the North, it was free, but...didn't work. Had to visit Aroma daily to get my emails etc. Typical Israeli experience: great minds and developers, but the execution fails.

I have just returned from a trip to Holland and Belgium. At Liege airport in Belgium, I connected to a pathetic attempt at "Free Wifi". After a few miserable attempts to use Facetime, I gave up. When I returned to Israel and received my bill from Orange, I had been billed for nearly 2 MB of cellular Wifi for a period of 2 1/2 hours! Apparently the Airport Free Wifi system connected me with the local cellular system and I had to bay NIS168 for this! At least Free WIfi in Israel is FREE! True, the hotels in Israel fleece the tourists, both local and foreign and that is why so many Israelis prefer to go to Turkey's Antalya, even though Turkey is no longer "Israel Friendly".
