once there are charges such as these, then this wont happen as often. There is no excuse to leave a child that cannot help themselves imprisoned like this.

It's funny how most of the talkbackers here are quickly to accuse the parents of such accidents but neglect to actually wonder WHY do this things happen. Harsh jail sentences won't help since it is obvious that no parent would leave their child in a car purposely in the sun. I believe the reason is much more profound as why we become more distracted. Stress? Too much work with increasing responsibilities? Always in need in more and more money? Obviously something is wrong in our life style...

So they forget their own kids!!!!!

Still not good reason enough to forget anything alive: child or animal. Can you just imagine the suffering of these babies. Slowly, slowly being boiled!!! GOD HELP. I can't even and don't want to think about it. Poor child.

The anti Israel posters are using the death of this innocent little child,and the death of the other baby recently,to insert their despicable,twisted political views into an already tragic,horrific situation. I wonder how they would like it if pro Israel posters brought up the horrific murders of the 2 little Arab girls recently by their own father in the Arab Israeli town,or the young Palestinian Arab girl who was held hostage and abused in her own home for years to demonize all Arab parents. The parents in both of these cases need to be held accountable for their reckless,negligent behaviour,which led to the tragic deaths of these innocent children.

How the heck does one forget a baby or toddler in the car? What is wrong with today's parents,in my day the first person in the car and out of it were my kids ,and I never locked my car with out checking the back seat as well! Turn off the cell phones people,put your rear view mirror focused on your kids in the back seat so you can see them, and if that isnt enough put your cell phones and purses or other valuable in the backseat with your kids so you don't forget them!
