"Failed US policy endangers Israel" Uh, Ron, did you just figure that out now?
2. For Obama believers nothing will change the picture of their
tom ,   tel aviv   (07.15.13)
"perfect" President. Just as various End of the Days cult followers are not discouraged by fallacy of their prophecies when "The Day" comes and goes without incident: they simply invent a new date & explanation that will carry them through until the next, inevitable failure. It is a well documented psychological phenomenon. Goes for the Lunatic Leftists & all religious followers of superstition.
3. Are you missing George W. Bush yet?
Jake B. ,   Cleveland, OH   (07.15.13)
Last year, Ron Ben-Yishai wrote an article entitled "Obama better for Israel" in which he wrote "History has taught us that Republican administrations are less attentive to Israel's needs". Well, as they say, be careful what you pray for. At least Ben-Yishai finally came around and now realizes just how antagonistic the current White House administration is towards Israel.

So Republicans are leaking info and Obama administration is at fault. As usual, a deluded rightist denies reality.
5. it makes no difference who exactly was behind the leaks
CJK   (07.15.13)
what matters is that obama's entire foreign policy is in shambles. he is both incompetent and ruthless. his obsession with israel is unhealthy and detrimental to israel's national security, and therefore to us national security. people need to understand that if israel is weakened, even if just diplomatically, such weakness will reflect back on the us.
6. Vis a vis Obama looks cute
ASTRONAUT ,   SC, USA   (07.15.13)
in his golf shorts. Have a nice day, mr. prez, and .... watch your birdie.
7. The answer is to act like a proud sovereign state.
Chaim ,   Israel   (07.15.13)
"This is not the only damage caused to Israel and other countries by the US' befuddlement and careless conduct. But everyone has to keep quiet because we have no other superpower that supports us." This paragraph represents a truly scary and defeatist mindset. The author says Israel must let Obama endanger us because "no other superpower suppots us". First of all, under Obama, America is neither a superpower, nor an economic powerhouse. Secondly, how about acting like a proud sovereign nation? You can bet that none of the other nations, endangered by the Obama, regime, think this way.

NudNik69   (07.15.13)
There's no evidence that Republicans are behind the leaks - just rumored. You people are a very dangerous joke upon us all.
9. THE UNITED STATES-AMERICAN PEOPLE, ISRAEL AND ANY OTHER NATI
SJOERD VAN DER VELDE ,   OUR PLANET EARTH   (07.15.13)
NATION, WITH A PEOPLE. FOR EXAMPLE, ALSO THE PRESENT US-ADMINISTRATION FIRST FOLLOWS, IN PRINCIPLE US INTEREST, PERHAPS SECOND PLACE ISRAELI AND UNITED NATIONS ORGANIZATION-INTEREST. ANY NATION FIRST HAS IT''S OWN NATIONAL, DOMESTIC, INTERNAL INTEREST, IN PRINCIPAL, TO IT''S OWN PEOPLE, USUALLY, LESS OR MORE.

Az   (07.15.13)
Bel Marduk escaped once, perhaps he is still at his old tricks, so used to holding that staff of his. While he's busy babbling to lull us into a false sense of security, who knows what he's up to behind the scenes?

It wasn't the Republicans that were running guns to Mexican drug lords. You can thank Obama and Eric Holder for that. I also don't see a Republican bowing and scraping to the king of Saudi Arabia like Obama did. You can throw rocks at the Republicans but you are living in a glass house.
12. What are Obama et al? Idiots?
Harry Wright ,   UK   (07.16.13)
They had to be TOLD that supporting Morsi goes against American interests in the region etc? Or did they get nervous that their diabolical support of the MB had not gone unnoticed? They keep denying it and people keep confronting them with behaviours that show otherwise.
13. The inept punk in the White House has...
Jake Stone ,   USA   (07.16.13)
...been a complete failure! The ignorant, liberal fools' in my country voted for this idiot; now, they're reaping the worthless fruit of their folly! What's sad is those of us who had brains and didn't vote for the clown are in the same sinking boat. Obama and his Muslim brothers' hate Israel--period!!!
14. US proving that power in the hands of amateurs can be fatal
Raymond in DC ,   Washington, USA   (07.16.13)
I studied international politics during my university years, and as a close observer of events over the many years since. And I've never encountered a US administration that so consistently exercised such bad judgement in world affairs. This crew of ideologues an amateurs is making war more likely, and will cause many lives to be lost, Israelis certainly among them.
15. Deja vu?

Nero fiddles while Rome burns. Oops, sorry, I meant Obama golfs while the Middle East burns.
16. More of the usual Obama bashing
spyguy ,   seattle   (07.16.13)
The harsh reality is even if the "other guy" was president, things would be no different because there is NO SOLUTION. (1) governments leak - they always have and always will . If Israel does not want to have its actions spread all over the evening news, do NOT do bad things.(2) No empire can control the locals very much if at all. The US has no ability to control what happens in Egypt, Syria or anywhere else. The US government can not even control states from making foolish laws. (3) What exactly was the US supposed to do when Egyptians elected Morsi? drop a bomb on him? Do you have any clue as to what the result of that would be? Bashing the POTUS solves nothing. Maybe Israel should try to get along with their neighbors instead of relying on the US. And if Israel can not get along with its neighbors, then suffer the tragic consequence in silence.
17. Forget About The US!
manicdrummer ,   Haifa, Israel   (07.16.13)
The US needs Israel more than Israel needs the US. The US economy will collapse within a year from now. Israel is better off looking at the EU as a trading partner and military ally. The American people are turning their collective hearts and minds away from what's happening in the Middle East anyway, so they won't be too concerned about what happens to Israel. Besides, America's Jews belong over here now.
18. In his (sotero) speech..
Beary White ,   Norway   (07.16.13)
.. he (a sunni?) said US would lead on into the new world order. !! Looks like he is leading into the chaos. By the way, this is the same tactic islamic states use to spread their message; turn the country up/down with violence and death. Then people, in fear for life, would run away to other countries and start new mosks after receiving deadly imams from their old country. And "vips" the islamic ideology has moved to a new country, with the same imams spreading hate on fridays. So, after some decennies an islamic "uproar" will start again. The evil never sleep...
19. I have a new friend on TB @17
Dror ,   Haifa, Israel   (07.16.13)
Forget about em indeed.... You are absolutely correct, they are on the road to self destruction within a year more or less. Israelis need to get informed they need to come to terms with what is happening and start making arrangements for the day after. We need to develop our production capabilities.. Engines especially, parts, metal works, all of it...
20. Thats your baby Israel
Horace, M. ,   St. Petersburg, U.S.   (07.16.13)
After all Israel,,,,, "that is",,,, your creation, thats your bi-racial baby.
21. We'll just pay you
Nic   (07.16.13)
If Syria bombs the crap out of Israel we will just pay Israel off, that's all they want. Don't worry you will get your handout to rebuild a few areas. At least it will drag us into Syria to sort Assad out and hand Syria over to your friends the Jihadists.
22. Down with the USA!
Ury Matz   (07.16.13)
Let's get rid of the USA once and for all. They never were our friends and will never be. Let's look for Europeans, Russians and Chinese. These are our real friends. We are not a vassal State. The US depends on us on practically everything. Without our security technology they will soon face hard challenges. Just wait.
23. #17 only partially right
israel israeli ,   tel aviv   (07.16.13)
The US is the greatest nation in the history of mankind thanks to the Founding Fathers who wrote the Declaration of Independence and Constitution based on the Bible. Morally and philosophically, Israel and the US should be allies. Just like in Israel where the greatest enemies are Israelis who seized positions of power to undermine Israel, the US has Americans who tirelessly work to destroy the constitution and undermine America. Just look at the parallels between the Pallywood productions of A-Dura and Trayvon Martin. Israelis should not abandon the American people (the corrupt regime is something else) but reach out and ally with American patriots for the common good.
24. obama
yoav shtrum ,   israel   (07.16.13)
These employees the devil could not defeat Israel, I understand that obamba comrades was a nice if Hitler was finishing with us but it didn't happen and not going to happen. more good for us to get away from "friends like these" we passed a few such passing by it as well.
25. Guys, I hate to break this to you.....
Shachar ,   Eilat   (07.16.13)
But the Middle-East is an even bigger mess than in the past. It's a wonderful lose/lose situation. Whatever you do you're going to come out looking bad and with a bloody nose. In my humble opinion I think the US should line up with the Sunnis to counter the Russian alliance with the Shi'as. Try to get some better defined battlelines and reach a cold-war style stand-off.
26. @23
Dror ,   Haifa, Israel   (07.16.13)
I agree with you. The patriot movement in America is growing, the current corrupt usurper pres and his banana republic regime are not to be trusted. We should reach out to the Americans that will retake the country after it collapses soon. I am just saying we need to make plans to survive the collapse of America. What happens after, we will cross that bridge when we get to it, but we need to be PREPARED.

If you think Europe, Russia, and China are Israels friends you going to be very dissapointed some day.
28. to be fair
Matt   (07.16.13)
We acted with a large degree of autonomy, no need to get clearance. Gates was very worried by what we did he thought it was to dangerous. As such the admin has more issues to deal with than most or as per usual.
29. funny stuff. we have no other superpower to support us...lol
david   (07.16.13)
yet we keep telling this super power, the only thing that separates Israel of becoming the new n. korea in the world, what to do and how wrong and stupid they are. This is not Israeli Chutzpah this is Israeli idiocy..

We depend on you for what money? On you for what a VETO? On you, for what loan guarantees? On you for what military aid? On you for what, to counter Arab diplomatic initiatives on you? Please get rid of us and let's see how far the Chinese and Russians and the Eurowimps take you. We fund your Iron Dome and your Arrow and send you billions and protect you from every VETO and this is how you say thanks? You are the most ungrateful people I ever met. One day you will need us and we will not be there for you. So please cut all economic ties, diplomatic ties, military ties and let's see who hurts the most. The USA or Israel? I personally value the USA-Israeli relationship, however the anti-American/Obama sentiment in Israel is disgusting, so be careful what you wish for because relationships take years and decades to develop, but could be damaged beyond rep[air in days. Just look at Turkey.
