I unable to fathom jewish israelis taking flight on saudi airlines letting their money to be passed to oppressive regime
5. As an Israeli wouldnt dream of flying with
Benjy   (07.17.13)
them. JFK cant ban them for using the airport, and do wonder just how many Israelis travel on Saudi Scairways! Personally I wouldn't like to see Saudis on El Al either!
6. Something is missing in the story.
(07.17.13)
Saudi Airline doesn't fly directly from JFK to BOM (Mumbai). Like any airline in the world, it has to transit through its hub in order to make the connection. An Israeli citizen who would want to travel on Saudia Airline would have to transit through Ryhad but Israeli citizens are not allowed into Saudia territory, so I don't understand why the company would let them purchase a ticket knowing that it will pose a problem upon arrival....
7. Flying with an Arab airline.
Farren ,   USA   (07.17.13)
Who would want to travel with these barbarians and savages!
8.  Someone is giving Israelis a taste of their own medicine

Way to go, Saudi Airlines.
9. Just a thought...
Abie Dee ,   New York, US   (07.17.13)
Not much attention given to this in the world press. I wonder how different that would be if it was El Al refusing to carry Palestinians on THEIR flights.
10. @8
(07.17.13)
listen, knowing arab flying "expertise" and their pilots who are dumb as crap, i would never put my life in the hands of any arab pilot. just look at how they lost the air wars against israeli air force. that should tell you the imbecility of any arab pilot since they come from the same stock of arab air force. god forbid anyone flies airplanes manned by inexperienced arab pilots.
11. #9 - right. And Pallys have tried blowing up El Al
William ,   Israel   (07.17.13)
many, many times!! And still with the proper permits, they are allowed to fly from Ben Gurion on El Al.
12. #8 - care to explain that accusation?
William ,   Israel   (07.17.13)
please cite a instance when Israelis did the same thing. I don't recall any nationals being refused access to El Al.
13. If This Is True NTSB Show Ban

Facts 1. "Jews and Israelis, or passengers carrying any non-Islamic article of faith(ie any other religion outside of Islam), will not be able to fly code-share flights from the U.S. to Saudi Arabia under Delta Air Line's new partnership with Saudi Arabian Airlines that is set to begin in 2012." Fact 2.According to Israeli law, Lebanon, Syria, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Libya, Yemen and Iran are considered "Enemy states" and an Israeli citizen may not visit them without a special permit issued by the Israeli minister of the interior. Therefore, an Israeli who visits these countries, be it with a foreign passport or an Israeli one, may be prosecuted when coming back to Israel. This list was set in 1954, and was updated only once on 25 July 2007 to include Iran. The wise man that is complaining that he was refused a flight on a Saudi Airline should be jailed if he ever sets foot in Israel...
15. So I guess they don't offer a kosher meal option either
Raymond in DC ,   Washington, USA   (07.18.13)
I can imagine an Israeli Arab who happens to be in the US wanting to swing by Saudi Arabia for the "haj", then returning to Israel via Jordan. I suspect that telling the truth - that just seeing the Star of David and Hebrew writing in a passport gives them the heebie jeebies - won't give them a pass from JFK authorities. PS - Just before posting I noticed that auto-correct changed "haj" to "ham". Maybe now they'll boycott Apple.
16. and yet the EU boycotts JEWS in Israel!
nadav ,   tlv   (07.18.13)
looks like the 1930s all over again, anti-semites flout international anti-discrimination laws and treat Jews like outcasts and our European "friends" launch an outrageous boycott of Jews living in the Land of Israel!
17.  EL AL is More Subtle
Israeli for ever ,   Tel Aviv   (07.18.13)
Passengers refused on Saudi airlines should try EL AL as it does not Discriminate Against Non Jewish Passengers at all ! They even offer Arab passengers personal advise on choice of underwear and a personal rub down :-) Then again Mecca may not be the perfect holiday destination for us Israelis being refused on Saudi Airlines.
18. No7 I flew Arabs/Muslims airlines
Non Jewish immigrant ,   Haifa   (07.17.13)
I flew Jordanian airline, Turkish airline (the best company ever) an Malaysian airline And ALL were fantastic!!! Quiet passengers and very well educated crew members. Surprisingly my worst air travels were on El Al with lousy Israelis complaining for anything, stealing food from the flight intendant and being tachmanin!!! And el al crew member are so rude!!
19. it is not a question of wanting to fly with
frank ,   rehovot   (07.18.13)
some arab airline it is a question of legality of being able to fly. If you are denied because of your nationality, then what is to stop other airlines from denying the french from flying on a plan. And then what happens if they decide to not allow blacks? Can you imagine what would happen if someone said that? But with jews....the world is so bias in favor of terrorists. Even in the US, as long as it is not casting blacks in any type of factual light, everything else is acceptable...
20. If they were harideem you could understand it
Benny   (07.18.13)
As we all know they make trouble on flights

i beg to differ, i am an iranian muslim that lives in los angeles and i have flown all the airlines you mentioned, including el al. i am educated, an engineer by profession, and possess a phd in my field. that is for starters. and now, regarding the arab and turkish airlines i have flown on numerous times. they are filthy except for malaysia airline which is very decent. most arab airlines are always late, the a/c doesn't work properly in the hot summer, the crew is unattentive and some don't even speak english properly and the food, mediocre by any standard. jordanian airline looses luggage on a constant basis and i had my stuff lost for 10 days at a time leaving jordan airport to brussels. the arab airports except for malaysia and saudi arabia are a filthy pit with food everywhere and garbage that is not put away. additionally, their pilots can't even compare to the pilot training and safety that el al has and practices. the near misses in amman, if you knew about them, are huge compared to other airports. the pilots are arabs and therefore do not possess the same intelligence and training hours as the el al pilots who have military combat experience and who always think. so, some of the passengers on el al that i noticed are religious sometimes and yes, they are quite boisterous. but, the food, the care, the behavior of stewardesses on el al as well as the servie and comfort is par to none. it is just simply wonderful. the planes are spotless and clean. i never saw anyone complaining and i have traveled on el al numerous times the past two years. no one stole my food or the food of others or from flight attendants (not intendant, as you spelled) and the crew was not only polite and civil, but extremely helpful to me during and after the landing. i don;t know what you experienced, but i, who flew el al and insist on flying el al to the middle east evert time i get a chance, i never ever noticed the things you mentioned and neither did anyone on the plain....as evidenced by the huge clapping when each el al lands in israel. so, no lies please. hameed aboughaze, iranian los angeles

Does SAS stand for Stupid Anti Semite? Saudi Arabia being such a great place for any non-Muslim... where just an innocent coffee with a female other than your wife earns you 500 lashes, where if, as a non Muslim you are caught with a morsel of food in your mouth during Ramadan, you will be beaten within an inch of your life. Yeah, way to go Saudis.
23. 21 obviously we had opposite experiences
(07.18.13)
I'm a travel agent, and for many years, by all mean, the best airline in the world is Qatar Airways, an Arab company. They manage to pass by all other airlines in the world on safety, food, service, timetables, cleaning and comfort. And I flew Turkish on transatlantic flights and it was always clean and quiet with nice food. You mentioned the clapping at the end in El Al. That is also why I hate this company! Flying is not a circus
24. No. 21 thank you
Frequent flyer ,   tel aviv   (07.18.13)
A voice of reason. Yes, Israeli passengers are noisy, but they're nothing compared with the drunken, physically aggressive British (and a good few other European) passengers who've been so disgusting that they've been arrested on arrival! "Non Jewish immigrant" is, of course, just another anti-Jewish ranter, who might wish to consider becoming a non-Jewish EMIGRANT if it's so hateful here. I might also add that Ben Gurion airport is superior by far to the filthy, smoke-filled Dubai, with all its seating blocked by hundreds of sheet covered sleeping Indians, the toilets filthy and uncivilized, ALL the airport staff unspeakably rude and hostile. All the Gulf states are similarly described by frequent travellers so why bother with the Saudis?
25. Frank LOL!!! word in favor of terrorists!!!
(07.18.13)
funny guy!!!
26. B-llsh-t and propaganda, I might ad.
Barbara, S. ,   New York, Mannhattan   (07.18.13)
There are so many Israeli bussunessmen, contractors, tourist in Dubai and in the Emirates its funny,,, but after all,,, the Saudis are no more than Arabized Khazars. What is this,,, the quckennig for Pamela Geller. King Abdullah sure prefers his Jewish doctors. Come on stop raining on my parade, Israelis can go anywhere on this planet to the jungles of Africa to feed a rhino, to the Amazon rain forest to smoke med weed tendered from it's exotic botanics, to having reservations on the new moon colony etc., etc., so on and so forth. Slow news day I see.
27. #14 Sure you know what you're talking about?
Jake   (07.18.13)
What makes you think that all Saudi Arabian Airlines flights begin and end in Saudi Arabia? Once I traveled via Kuwait Airways, from London to New York. What would be the justification for banning Israelis from such flights, apart from unbridled racism?
28. #26, The truth is raining on your parade.
Jake   (07.18.13)
Quick, grab an umbrella.
29. Misleading
Mark ,   Vancouver, Canada   (07.18.13)
This tactic is misleading, and only proves that Saudi Arabian Airlines doesnt recognize an Israeli passport, which we already knew. If a Saudi citizen tried to book a ticket on El Al with his Saudi pasport it would be the same situation. Even if a Palestinian American citizen with a West Bank ID number tried to book a ticket on El Al using his American passport, he would refused service, because of the fact that he has a West Bank ID number (according to agreements, Israeli authorities only recognize a Palestinian American's West Bank ID, not their American passport).. Does that mean that El Al can be sued as well for refusing service to an American citizen with an American passport (but also a West Bank ID). It's a political decision, not racist that this airline didnt let an Israeli passport holder book a flight. It's not like in this case they refused a person serivice because they had a Jewish name, in that case then there would be a valid claim.
30. #29 Actually, the only thing stopping Saudis
zvi   (07.19.13)
from flying El Al is the likelihood that they would be arrested upon their return to Saudi Arabia.
