Releasing "hardcore" prisoners is the most immoral and contemptible act that can be required of a country - just for the sake of making gestures to a hostile and murderous bunch of people. And Israeli politicians are equally immoral, contemptible and disgusting to go along with this nonsense. NOWHERE ELSE IN THE WORLD IS THIS ALLOWED. This insanity was splashed in many newspaper headlines all over the world and I could not help wondering why Israel is jumping in and wallowing in this mud. If Kerry & Obama are pushing for this, then they must share the burden. If Israel releases the hardcore prisoners, then they should be released into the care of the US, never to set foot in the territories and endanger Israelis again. Everybody wins - Abbas gets his boost, Israel gets some kind of security assurance, Kerry gets his "peace talks" going and the hardcore prisoners get a chance to walk freely in a new land. That is a fair arrangement. Israel should settle for nothing less.

In order to prevent Abbas from taking the 100 and walking from the table, give them out each Friday after talks begin until either the talks result in a deal, you run out of prisoners, or they walk away from the talks. And no prisoner is released in any week when any terror activity (missile, bomb, incitement) occurs. No more free rides, reward results not preconditions.
