1. Complete BS - Abbas' Fatah is a terror group
Israel   (07.21.13)
As big a threat and as much a gang or murderers as Hamas.
2. How many times can this crap be sold to us?!
tom ,   tel aviv   (07.21.13)
3. They have a reason
israel israeli ,   tel aviv   (07.21.13)
As long as PLO/Fatah gets something through negotiations and surrender nothing, they will negotiate. Weakening their enemy Israel by diplomatic means is a smart move. This is the "plan of stages" that Arafat had approved in the PNC in the 70s. However, all negotiations will fail to bring peace because PLO/Fatah is constitutionally obliged to destroy Israel. The day PLO/Fatah changes their charter according to article 33, things might change. Until then, articles like these are innaccurate at best
4. For Pals 'progress' means Israel hands over country to them
Sam ,   Canada   (07.21.13)
Free goodies are given to the Palestinians to get them into the negotiations but nothing is done to change the perception of Palestinians about negotiations. Palestinians simply want a timetable for Israel being handed over to them. The US and Israel are so grateful that Palestinians will talk to them that nothing is done to change Palestinian perceptions entering negotiations.
5. Nice article about the situation.
cfs ,   fr and dz   (07.21.13)
I hope leaders will make an effort to reach peace. I hope peace.
6. Irrelevant article :arsonists do not become firefighters !
trump ,   eurabia   (07.21.13)
7. Who is in favor of peace talks?
Jacob E ,   Holon, Israel   (07.21.13)
Why would we have peace talks with Abbas if in the next election he is ouseted and the new guy doesn't want to honor the peace? Why should we bolster their security if anything we give them will fall into the hands of those who don't want peace. The Palestinians need ot have a completely open election in the west bank with anyone who wants to run regardless of their political affiliation able to be elected. I want to see who is in charge of the Palestinians before negotiating with them.
8. Absolute idiocy: The P.A. are genocidal terrorists.
Chaim ,   Israel   (07.21.13)
Sure, let's pretend our genocidal enemies are really our friends. The P.A. are terrorists as much as Hamas. The only difference is that Hamas is more honest. Israelis will not buy this idiocy. The real answer is to totally defeat the P.A. and claim our land.
9. The facts never bother leftists
Gee ,   Zikron Yaakov   (07.21.13)
Terrorism increases with talks - always has. We do not need to negotiate anything. What we need is to get the Arabs from violating ALL of the previous obligations. To date they have violated every single provision of every treaty they have ever signed. We should announce until they fulfill every provision of every previous treaty they get nothing at all
10. Coordination
Bill ,   Skokie USA   (07.22.13)
Israel And The PA must expand cooperation in security against those from both sides who would try to derail peace talks. The PA & Israel should resume joint patrols in areas B,&C, Settlers can be just as terrifiying to the Palestinian population. There needs to be fairness, Justice and saftey for all people and there property
11. the challenge
ben Ish   (07.23.13)
can any reader or staff point to any example of these "talks" that accomplished anything?
12. #11. "Peace talks" responsible for 1,000s of Israeli deaths.
Chaim ,   Israel   (07.23.13)
"Peace talks with Palestinians" have accomplished a great deal for Israel's enemies. Oslo alone was responsible for thousands of Israelis being murdered and maimed. The Labor Party has an incredible amount of Jewish blood on its hands. Yet Labor, and its idiotic leftist fellow travelers, seek to do even more damage to Israel.
