professor leibowitz, z"l, was a philosopher. he was not a strategist. he lived in the world of the ideal. he deducted his political philosophy from his works on theology. that approach works in the realm of the abstract, but not in the realm of reality.

Why do you ingore the fact that conditions are worse for them in all other Muslim countries? That was the point of Abie Dee's post and your reply that doesn't address it is the best you can come up with? The Palestinian Pretenders were not driven out by the Jews. Your stupid leaders told them to get out of the way while they destroyed Israel and that when Israel was gone they could all come back and take what had belonged to the Jews. Well, you were all stupid and you lost. Time hasn't made you any smarter so you might just as well get used to it.

I'll tell you why. In 1948, 5 Arab nations decided to invade and destroy the new state of Israel. They did this because they refused ANY presence of Jews in the ME. They did this at a time when 'occupied territories' did not exist. They, fortunately lost that war, and, as a direct result created the refugee problem. Every war has had them but in no other war were refugees used as political pawns, keeping them locked up even in Arab countries for 65 years. This is a stain on Arab history and the entire world for allowing it to continue and for people like you to attempt to defend it.
64. #42 You only prove my point
(07.25.13)
There was never a country called "Palestine", and Palestinians as a people came to be in the last several decades. On the other hand: "Kingdom of Israel (united monarchy) (1020–931 BCE), the kingdom established by the Israelites and uniting them under a single king" All this is irrelevant, though. Both side should stop blaming each other and just find a practical solutoin - not a "just" one. This stupid "justice" business will just keep the conflict going.
65. #42 you don't decide who's democratic
(07.25.13)
All citizens of Israel vote and decide about the nature of the country - that's democracy by definition. I prefer being an Arab in Israel to being a Jew in any Arab state.

You want reality? The White regime in SA was boycotted out of existence. This happened because people around the world decided that they were no longer prepared to ignore a situation where basic human rights were denied on racial grounds. The same is beginning to happen here (as I predicted) Not one state, and less than 10 million fundimentalist Jews and Christians ( in a world of over seven billion people) believe that Judea, Samaria and Gaza belong to Israel. In SA it took about 25 years, in Israel it may take as long, but in the end, If Israel does not separate itself from the Palestinian curse, it will cease to exist as a Jewish State.

The residents of Gibralter and the Falklands, and a majority of those in Ulster want to remain British All the Palestinians want Israel to get out of their occupied lands. Gibralter and Ulster are not under military rule, Yosh is.

All the states in the world and seven billion people say you are wrong.
71. #29 More stupid ignorance
Stan ,   Israel   (07.24.13)
There was civil war in Lebanon long before the PLO and Hisbullah. Ask the Americans, they were there in 1956 to make peace. Also the various Christian clans regularly slaughtered one another.
72. Italian journalist Guilio Meotti has answer to racist boycot
Chaim ,   Israel   (07.25.13)
Google Giulio Meotti. This Italian journalist suggests the ideal Israeli response to the racist E.U. boycott.
