Every Israeli I have spoken with the past several years have stated they would be thrilled with any settlement that removed every single Palestinian from Israel. They also use the word "arab" when they say that. So why is it wrong for Abbas to say the same thing you folks feel? Is it because you don't want to admit that you hate them every bit as much as they hate you?

I have limited trust in Abbas and his team. However in diplomatic-speak wording matters and the man said "remove Israel", not emovethe Israelis, not remove the Jews, not remove the settlers - remove Israel. He was it seems (and one can even hope) making a statement about sovereignity and defined borders not citizenship. One can read that statement to mean that Jews may have some option of remaining within the borders of the sovereign state of Palestine as citizens of that state.Doing so might also give moral protection to the Israeli Arabs west of the new borders.We have some reports that that prior to that statement he and Peres had a conversation on the topic.
