However, I also went to the Dolomites around 10 years ago and saw in a shop detailed SS figures like a man on a horse beating a drum with a Death's Head insignia on the drum. Band" which means "2nd volume" because the label is actually a book cover. And "Recht oder Unrecht, mein Vaterland" is a bad translation of the quote "My country, right or wrong" which is from a US Navy Commodore named Stephen Decatur and has nothing do do with Nazi ideology (which would never allow even the thought that Germany could be wrong). It is pretty obvious that neither the maker nor the buyers of these wines are Nazis or antisemitists. By depicting him as the ultimate evildoer, Hitler was transformed into a pop culture icon like Che Guevara. That's all there is to it. There is hardly any real antisemitism in western and middle Europe. Which is surprising given Israel's ruthlessness towards their neighbors. Don't these people remember how Mussolini & his Nazi friends treated Italy and the Italians? When the tide of war turned in the Allies' favor the Nazis were very brutal towards their ally because Hitler didn't think Mussolini was holding up his end of their alliance.
