Anna m Sedda ,   Rome-Italy   (08.19.13)
Hitler poison is somehow still around;i believe there is a law in Italy, made after Mussolini era, that makes this business illigal.Apology to nazi and fascism is forbidden in Italy and also i believe, anything that refers to it...We have laws, the problem is to aplly them when required....this business by italian law should be closed
6.  Why complain?
ky   (08.19.13)
it eventually ends up in precisely the right place . I couldn't think of a better epitaph for a human pos than an Italian sewer.
7. Not only bottles of wine...
Adam ,   Ramat Gan   (08.19.13)
In most countries toy soldiers usually consist of faceless plastic men from each side. However, I also went to the Dolomites around 10 years ago and saw in a shop detailed SS figures like a man on a horse beating a drum with a Death's Head insignia on the drum. Also, there was Hitler and other hard core Nazi toy soldier replicas. This is something that I've never seen anywhere else. This sort of thing must be big around Lake Garda and thereabouts.
8. Musolilini was hitlers puppet.
Yanky Pipchick ,   Baltimore   (08.19.13)
The italians must miss those days. Its a acrazy world.
9.  In Berlin Yesterday
ItWillNeverEnd ,   Jerusalem Israel   (08.19.13)
Italy never really paid for its war crimes in World War 1 ( neither really did Japan) Ireland which played it "neutral" and the only country to send "condolences on the death of Hitler" has never ever been called out either The US refused entry of Jews and used the Nazi German scientists for their rocket programs Lots of hypocrisy to go around Only yesterday while in Berlin a group of well dressed 30's something men walked into the anti Nazi street display featuring murdered Jews and non Jews victims of the Nazis and in broad daylight on the famous Unter Den Linden cried out "Alle Tot alle tot " "All dead All dead" laughed and walked off no one spoke up. In Greece with only 5000 Jews Jew hatred is ramped It never ends we have to accept that fact but always call it out and fight it .
10. Hitler wine
seagull ,   zurich, switzerland   (08.19.13)
Wow Fascism is still alive in the most beautiful part of the world It is interesting it takes Israelis to uncover this where are the european jews? still hiding their heads beneath the cover?
11. Why be upset
Gurumes ,   Valencia, Spain   (08.19.13)
I am surprised Israelis of all people have a problem with genocidal megalomaniacs...
12. # Gurumes 11 why be upset ?
ky   (08.19.13)
simply because its uncomfortable pissing people like Hitler and Gurumes down the toilet.
13. Not a big deal.
Jeffrey ,   Soenderborg, Denmark   (08.19.13)
As the article clearly states, this wine is bought mostly by tourists as a novelty item. And the maker isn't a nazi either, just look at the label that says "2. Band" which means "2nd volume" because the label is actually a book cover. And "Recht oder Unrecht, mein Vaterland" is a bad translation of the quote "My country, right or wrong" which is from a US Navy Commodore named Stephen Decatur and has nothing do do with Nazi ideology (which would never allow even the thought that Germany could be wrong). It is pretty obvious that neither the maker nor the buyers of these wines are Nazis or antisemitists. By depicting him as the ultimate evildoer, Hitler was transformed into a pop culture icon like Che Guevara. That's all there is to it. There is hardly any real antisemitism in western and middle Europe. Which is surprising given Israel's ruthlessness towards their neighbors. If Israel wants to stop antisemitism, it should learn to respect its neighbors and the contracts made with them, not point fingers at every image of Hitler, because national socialism is all but dead, but the death and pain of the people opressed by Israel is alive and grows constantly.
14. To 11
Avi ,   BELGIUM   (08.19.13)
I think of all people I am not surprised you are blaming Israel and jews of being genocidal, you'd better look at yourself with Spanish history of persecuting and killing Jews.
15. Will Israeli put a complete boycott on tourism to Italy
A ,   Belgium   (08.20.13)
because of this? Hell no, a cheap vacation is more important than national pride. Look at Turkey and Egypt...
16. #13 In total denial of himself & reality
PayHimNoAttention ,   Jerusalem Israel   (08.19.13)
17. Hitler Wine....and Che Wine
JIL ,   New York, USA   (08.20.13)
I guess no one noticed that not only do they have Hitler wine, but they also have Che wine. He too was a murderer!!!! No comparison to Hitler of course. But perhaps they are not promoting the wine as something positive, yet the people who buy it might be horribly anti-semitic and not realize what the seller is promoting. I am just wondering what the seller's point is. Could it be? I wouldn't want to think that anyone would promote anything with Hitler on it as positive!!!! What a bizarre, disgusting thing to do!!!! whether it is Hitler or El Che. Ugh!!!! It should b stopped!!!!! Perhaps turpentine would be better to sell with his face on it.
18. jewish slaves built the roman colusieum. mussolini sent
debra ,   usa   (08.20.13)
italian jews to their deaths in concentration camps. anti-semitism has been present in italy for thousands of years. jews should pass on visiting that ignorant country.
19. anti-Semitism in Italy
claudio ,   Lombardy   (08.20.13)
Maybe that's why that 80% of Italian Jews survived the Shoah. Ignorant country? this is the same thing that many Europeans think of the USA.
20. #10 Speaking like a true idiot
Cynthia ,   USA   (08.21.13)
Most of the European Jews are dead thanks to Hitler. And all of Europe suffered because of Hitler. But you need the remaining Jews to speak out because you have no spine.
21. Ani ochev Yisrael...but let me explain !
Gianfranco Niccolai ,   Pistoia, Italy   (08.21.13)
I am totally ashamed for this italian producer. I totally condemn this stupid example of "guerrilla marketing" but I want to precise that it is stupid marketing ! If you check the producer's website you will soon understand that he is just selling what he can. IN PARTICULAR AREAS OF ITALY it is easier to find very very fascist orientation, but Italy is not ALL FASCSIM, and Dolomiten area, too ! A big italian hug and my best welcome to any present, and future!, Israeli tourist in Italy.
22. Sickening!
Christy ,   Boston, US   (08.24.13)
Don't these people remember how Mussolini & his Nazi friends treated Italy and the Italians? When the tide of war turned in the Allies' favor the Nazis were very brutal towards their ally because Hitler didn't think Mussolini was holding up his end of their alliance. I'm surprised the Italians have allowed this to be sold. People in the neighborhood of this store must have short memories. I think when the economy is very bad & there's a lot of unrest people tend to look for quick fixes - like to the fascists and communists. It's amazing and disturbing.
